I came here a week after they opened by the wharf and it was clear they were still figuring out service coordination but I've been back since multiple times and now service is seamless! Breakfast nachos can definitely be shared between 2 hungry people or 3-4 people to snack on among other appetizers. Very filling. I was there for brunch yesterday to celebrate my friend's birthday. I loved the bottomless brunch. It was sample portion sizes which was nice so we could taste everything and the food came out FAST every time we ordered something. Today me and my boyfriend had the worst experience at this place. The servers are horrible! I ordered 2 guava margaritas , once I ordered my 3rd I noticed it tasted different and it was another bartender making my drink. I asked him if he could remake it the correct way I had been getting it before he came, he refused and tried to charge me the full amount for the drink, even though he didn't correct it. My boyfriend and I were looking for a nice lunch place near the wharf and chose makers union out of all our options to be completely disappointed. The hostess's was very kind and sat us right away, however once seated we were left at our table for over 10 minuets without a server greeting us or giving us water. We watched multiple waiters serve the tables around us and even watched serves standing around and taking selfies in the back. We then approached the manager telling him we would be leaving due to the lack of service and he just noddded and said "okay". There was no apology or acknowledgment of their staffs wrongdoing. I really wanted to love this place because I saw it on TikTok, but it wasn't what I hoped for. We ordered a crab cake benedict and the egg wasn't poached. In fact it was a hard boiled egg lol. I had my bridal shower here and I absolutely enjoyed the experience!! From booking with Ivan to being served our food and drinks by Diamond!! Every interaction was positive and memorable! The food was incredible!! Every dish was served family style and was so freshly prepared!! My favorite dish was the Brussel sprouts and then for a high second, the cornflake crusted French toast!! The hype does not meet what the place actually pushes out. The quality of the food and drinks given to patrons should be of higher priority, over the aesthetic presentation of those same food and drinks. It's not a good thing if I can say I've had better drinks at Chilis, better burgers at Applebees, and better fries pushed out to me at McDonald's. read more

Subpar experience. Went here with 6 people and 4 of us received our entrees about 10 minutes before the other two. We waited to eat for a bit however 3 of us were done eating before the other 2 were even served. Additionally, someone in our party ordered the lamb chop but was served the appetizer lollipop and was told by the server that the entree was a larger size of the appetizer. There is no way that those 4 tiny lollipops were an entree. The manager did notice the other two without their meal when he passed by our table and offered us 10% off our bill HOWEVER then the server adds 20% gratuity to it. I always tip 20% or greater when I go to a restaurant however this server did not deserve a 20% tip. Nowhere on the menu did it state that parties of 6 or greater would be subject to a mandatory service charge. I think she knew that she did not offer good service and went ahead and added it on herself. There are many more dining options at The Wharf. read more

The ambiance in this place is beautiful... the customer service is pretty good, no complaints. I went for lunch. I would say that unfortunately, the food is pretty unremarkable. I got the prime rib sandwich (without bread) and fries. There was nothing fancy about the fries and the prime rib wasn't worth $28! It was obviously previously frozen and wasn't even as delicate or delicious as the steak used in corner store delis for cheesesteaks. It's an easy restaurant if you want quick and easy. read more

I really feel like this place has a lot more potential but also has a lot more to fix as this place would be a great go to spot with their customer service and ambiance alone. The food wasn't all that great and I'm just so confused as they all "looked" good. The best thing was the impossible kebabs, made from plant based meat you would swear you were eating actual meat. The only thing that seem to be seasoned and had all components that just merged beautifully together. The worst for us was the nachos as it had just little amount of toppings while the bottom was nothing but chips. One dollop of guacamole on top and some cheese and sour cream drizzled but not enough to get every bite with all toppings. The second worst thing was the wings, although cooked beautifully it lacked soooo much in the flavor department. That chicken wing had absolutely no seasoning thrown it but the parm garlic sauce at the end which was also lacking in flavor. The pasta seafood diablo wasn't great shrimp had weird texture and the pasta needed salt on it. At this point their seasoning is all over the place or really not so much. The other best thing to not make this whole review negative was the brussel sprouts, fried to perfection with a perfect amount of chili and honey which worked beautifully together. Also the drinks were really good so no complaints there. I really wanna give this place another go as our server Ivan was really nice and attended to our every needs but I just think they should review their preparation of some of their meals and go back to the drawing board. Also big problem with their to go containers. The most cheapest container I've ever seen it wouldn't even close I had to hold it shut and when I got home it was so flimsy that half of my food I took home fell to the grown as I was trying to put it away with one hand. It wasn't like it was heavy the container itself was just not good ! And to end with the dessert we got the tiramisu nothing about that dessert was tiramisu. It had more of a cinnamon flavor and no coffee flavor it was also like whipped cream and not the original taste or texture of an authentic tiramisu. With all that being said I see potential in this place but they just have to fix the issues I just pointed out at hand and then some. read more

The steak and fries was 32 dollars and I maybe got 6 oz of steak. 4 little strips that was not cooked to the correct temperature. I mean if you're gonna F-up the temp at least give me the whole steak.... the starter, chicken wings were clearly frozen and undercooked. and my 25 dollar cocktail was tasty but light on the alcohol. Wasn't our best experience in DC. My wife had to wait 35 minutes for her drink (sangria) and then was told that they were trying to make the batch of sangria. She ended up getting another drink. Her crab cakes came out hard and crusty on the bottom. When I asked about it, he replied " I don't make it". He came back a little Later and advised that "sometimes They cook them too long and this happens" I couldn't contain my laughter at that point.
