Beautiful day out walking and came across the cutest outdoor patio with pink umbrellas. A true instagrammable sight. Decided to stop in for a quick bite and cocktail. It did not disappoint. Beautiful spot for a birthday dinner! Aesthetically pleasing and very Instagrammable moments. We randomly stopped in after we missed a show at the Mead Center across the street. Plenty of seating We sat on the patio since it was a breezy evening. Our server was very personable and knowledgeable on the menu. I started with a Paloma, edamame & ahi tuna nachos. 5/5 for the Paloma & nachos but a 3 for edamame - a little soggy to be enjoyable. This is one of our favorite places however we were so disappointed with service on Saturday night, 8/1. We ordered drinks and it took very long, and the waiter was not happy when we kept asking for our drinks. I'm a very friendly person and I am okay with waiting and understand when it takes a while however this was out of line. I am very dissatisfied, and hope Pink Tiger corrects this as this is one of our favorite places. The ambiance was fine our table was dirty unfortunately. In addition, the drinks were subpar compared to others and I hope they can improve. Decided to pop in for happy hour mid-week. Beautiful restaurant. If you're there for happy hour, be sure to go to the bar area, as it's not the entire restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious. The braised short rib flatbread was not exactly what I was expecting but it was very flavorful. My favorite drink was the coconut margarita; must try! The only area of opportunity I can offer is the level of service we received. The waitress was visibly not interested in serving us from the bar area high tops, so we ended up sitting at the bar, which is fine, but it definitely left a sour taste in our mouths to start our time there. As with all places at the wharf, you are paying for vibes and real estate, not good food. The restauraunt is gorgeous. Very Instagrammable. And our server was very nice and attentive. I also appreciate how vegetarian-friendly this menu is. Most of the noodle dishes came default vegetarian with the option to add protein. I bristle, however, at the fact that adding tofu costs $9 when a package of tofu costs $3 and you're certainly not getting a whole package. So I ordered pad Thai because it contains egg and forewent an additional protein. A soft drink here is $6. Free refills. But seriously, suck my butt. That alone will make me never come back. I will pay for things that are high in value. But do not overcharge me for the luxury of eating or drinking something that is way cheaper everywhere else in your waterfront restaurant. The food itself. Meh. First of all they need to decide what kind of restaurant they are - Thai? Pan-Asian? Fusion? Because most of the menu leaned Thai but then there was this Japanese udon dish with garlic and shiitake and then a noodle dish with...bacon and brussels sprouts? Ok my pad Thai was tiny, barely qualified as pad Thai IMO, super soupy and difficult to eat because the noodles were all broken and slimy, had very little in it other than egg and noodles and sauce (too much sauce), and cost $26 before adding protein, the cheapest of which was tofu at $9. So we're talking $35 for a small portion of mediocre-at-best, inauthentic pad Thai when there are actual Thai restaurants owned by actual Thai families all over this area serving authentic pad Thai with ample veggies and protein for half that amount. Kay. And there was no option to customize your spice level. This was like...negative spicy. I asked for chili oil. This was some thin ass bottled oil if I ever saw it. I love the look of the place. Photos probably do not do it justice. Servers were friendly and the options were fairly extensive. They had your standard Thai options as well as a few with nice twists. Pink Tiger is an amazing dining experience. Their menu has great variety, but it is pretty expensive. That's to be expected for the Wharf though. I really enjoyed the smokey apple cider margarita. It didn't taste like mezcal, but it was still good. The deviled eggs tasted too truffle-y for my liking, but they were my husband's favorite appetizer; whereas, I loved the lumpia. Everything we ordered was good, but the short rib stole the show. You definitely want to order it! It was a really thick piece of meat, not a few small pieces like some short rib entrees I've had before. The meat was so tender, and the polenta & carrots with it were great. Pink tiger was the best way to start our weekend. I knew it would be beautiful but they had some really solid dishes to match. Starting off with some things that kind of missed the mark. The crispy shrimp you can honestly skip that, there was supposed to be a kimchi ranch sauce they were tossed in but I didn't taste anything, they were pretty dry. The espresso martini was also not the best, theirs are made with Bailey's, super strong alcohol and not much espresso. Also took forever to get our drinks. Apps came before the drinks and drinks were the first thing we ordered. But other than that, we had the red snapper, garlic noodle add steak and the bacon and brussels fried rice; all super solid dishes! My friends and I mainly chose this restaurant for the aesthetics and location. The pink theme is what really drew us in. The interior was nice and spacious, and they offered ample seating outside and inside. The food was average to me though - the wings were over-priced; around $17 for 5 wings. They were very crispy though. Which reminds me, the items and pricing on their online menu varied greatly from the menu they provide in restaurant. The prices of everything were increased by $2-3 and there were a couple of options not available which was disappointing. The saving grace was the garlic udon noodles. I would return simply for this dish. You have the option of adding protein for a fee, but by themselves, the noodles were flavorful and a nice portion. Slightly salty, but really good. Our waitress was really nice as well. My friend's Pad Thai was more on the soupy side, which is not how the dish normally comes. When we pointed it out to her, she offered to replace the dish and gave it to us at half off. It was really considerate to listen to the complaints of your customers in realtime and offer practical solutions. Jeremey was singing and playing live right beside us, which made the ambiance perfect for a Galentine's dinner. For the drink: I started with the Prince. It's a gin based drink with lavender. It wasn't too sweet and was well balanced. It also came in a cute glass with a pink ice cube light. For the food: I started my meal off with the crab bisque. Came here on a snowy night and it ended up being the perfect spot to duck into while flurries were coming down. Even with the weather, there were still people inside enjoying themselves, which says a lot. First, the service. Maya and Gregory were fantastic. Gregory told us it was his first day and he handled it like a pro. He knew the menu well, made solid recommendations, and checked in just the right amount. Maya was super attentive too. Between the two of them and the staff clearing tables, we felt really taken care of. The lumpia was crispy and well balanced, and my rosé came with a very healthy pour. I ordered the Manifesto Margarita while my partner had the Gewürztraminer pour, and both drinks were excellent. The wine selection especially impressed us, and we appreciated that our server let us sample two wines before deciding. The service was warm and attentive, and our server was actually knowledgeable about the wines, which always makes the experience feel a bit more elevated. But honestly, the highlight was the view. We ordered the Ahi tuna nachos to start with. It was fine but nothing extraordinary. The mangos were a nice summer touch. I ordered the chili noodles for my entree which I was disappointed to find out could only be made very spicy or no spice at all. I opted for no spice to be on the safe side. It tasted fine but the sauce was too rich and upset my stomach after a few bites. My friend ordered the bacon fried rice and said it was just ok. We got two non alcoholic lemonades for drinks. The upsetting part was that we split the bill and it was $75 each and then I added 20% which I always do. So it was $90 each for a very subpar experience. I didn't see the whole bill but now I'm concerned that they added 20% service charge and never mentioned that to us. I will never go back for the quality of the food and the shadiness of the staff. You need to let your guests know that you are adding a service charge. By the way, they don't answer their phones and you can't get a hold of them if you need to make a complaint. I really enjoyed the crunch of the fried wonton nachos and the flavor of the Korean wings. Our server was nice. He came around and refilled our water the first two rounds. I wish you would've left the craft on our table because he didn't seem to come around after that. We ordered the pad Thai with the added chicken ($10+ for chicken). I really questioned if they added the chicken because there wasn't much of any. It may have been shredded into it. Also ordered the Brussels sprout fried rice to share. It had a lot of distinct flavor, but had too much soy sauce. My son didn't like it. We assured him the garlic noodles would be right out, but I believe our server forgot to put in the order because they came out at the end. The star of the meal was definitely the crab soup rich, flavorful, and full of big chunks of crab. You could really taste the freshness, with hints of lemongrass and basil in every bite.
