Great American food with lots of selections. Good fried chicken waffles, burgers were juicy and big. Service was slow but their food made up the difference. read more

Walked in on a very busy Saturday night and I understand it's busy. However, upon entering the 3 hosts just stared and talked amongst themselves and didn't acknowledge me. Waited for about 5 minutes before walking out because apparently being a good host and mentioning that it would take a few seconds is hard these days. Did not get a chance to try the place but with that being my first impression I think I'll pass. read more

We had brunch there and all meals were great. I had smoked salmon, it was a big piece of salmon and well smoked. Also monkey bread was delicious! My friend ordered chicken n waffle which was a huge plate! Great food, great service and great social distance. I will definitely come back again. read more

Came on a Saturday, wasn't too busy. The service I'd give a 5/10 Food 7.5/10 but my food as well as my friends came out cold & the order was wrong. I got my order remade by the manager as well as one of my friends, by the end of her meal there was a long black hair in her salad. The manager, i can say was very kind and helpful. Just dissatisfied with the meals. read more

Favorite restaurant in Reston town center, everything I've tried is really good and very fair prices. I had the Nashville hot chicken appetizer, hot chicken sandwich with fries (AMAZING FRIES, best ones in a long time), Mac and cheese starter which was enough for 4 people, shrimp salad with very tasty vinaigrette. The Prosecco was good and a full glass and the prickly pear margarita slushee was refreshing but I would only get it if you like sweet drinks. Fast with refills and they have plenty of heat lamps read more

Had Kat as my server tonight and she was amazing! Very attentive & personable. She helped me celebrate my husbands birthday in a special way. The food was good and came out all together and the drinks were fantastic! Thank you Kat read more

I had the best service with Shy! It was almost like it was my birthday that Nashville hot chicken bowl was super tasty and highly recommend that lemon drop cocktail. Life is amazing read more

OMG, their Mac n cheese is completely off the chain. It's so creamy and mouth watering I'm not sure how else to describe it. I ordered the flatiron steak and it too did not disappoint. I wished my drinks had a little bit more alcohol in it but that too was tasty. Very pricy but worth it. The atmosphere had a great ambiance to it. Will definitely be back but only on special occasions. Our bill was easily $200 for just two people. read more

Makers Union - Armagnac after dinner. Magnifique! - Pubs Near Me - Reston, Virginia

Food was decent. Service at the bar, terrible (yeah, that's you, dude). Not busy. Ordered lunch. Made sure that he could see my empty glass, so that there was no mistaking my desire for a refill. Guy stood there 3 feet away with his back to me watching the game. After more than a couple minutes, I finally got his attention. Same trying to get the check and a take-out box. Megan tried to cover for him. If he was having a bad day, ok. But even just for a bite on the way to Dulles, not coming back. read more

This place has a nice atmosphere and feels clean, modern with a hint of home. It was pretty empty (probably because it was sunday) except for the bar. The staff was polite and helpful but slow and a little disorganized, and the food was good. My drink arrived without delay, but it took almost 20 minutes before my food order was taken. With that said, the food came out relatively fast after I ordered it. I ordered the French Dip, since the waiter recommended it. Everything was presented nicely, but the french fries were not crispy which was strike number two, and the French Dip needed flavor. The main flavor was from the onion crisps on the sandwich. read more

Fun ambiance and great food! We enjoyed the outdoor seating and the small plates options!

Great place to meet someone coming in through Dulles. The food was delicious and the ambiance was stellar.

We love this place- has become our favorite since moving to Reston. Great service, great food, and love the decorated but unstuffy atmosphere. Cute holiday vibes around Christmas. read more

Shy was fantastic! She was spot on with our service and was extremely friendly. so pleased, thank you for serving us!

Shy was the best! Food was delicious and the service was top notch. Highly recommend for brunch; bottomless mimosas were great.

The food was delicious! We had a work lunch and I had the Old Bay wings, the Phoenix wings and artichoke dip. For lunch I had a burger because why not? It was all good. read more

The wait time, customer service and food were all outstanding. I have been visiting black-owned restaurants during black history month and this place will stay in rotation. We went for brunch on Saturday morning and for $32 we ate like kings and queens. You get to share 3 appetizers and 3 entrees proportioned to your party size and it seemed like the food never stopped coming. We had the Brussel sprouts, kale Caesar salad and spinach/ artichoke dip and it was all delicious. The spinach/artichoke dip was so creamy and buttery with freshly made chips; they were superb. The entrees were chicken and waffles, the Makers Union breakfast and crab cake Benedict. The fried chicken was piping hot and juicy. The waffles had corn in the batter and I couldn't stop eating them. The crab cake was disappointing as it was salty. I told the server and she took it back to share with the kitchen and they agreed and remade the batch-outstanding response . The brunch was a winner and they have a Valentine's Day menu through the 14th that I may take advantage of. read more

Amazing! Brunch is awesome. Expensive? Yes, but well worth it, all good is high quality. Only thing to avoid? Crab cakes - too much backfin (on Benedict) read more

Stopped in to try out On a Sunday night and had a great meal. The oysters and Asian steak salad were excellent.

Nothing exciting about this place. Decent food and decent price. I have the freaking good chicken burger and the wife had salmon and we also ordered calamari. If you are hungry and need a bite without wondering about anything fancy or spending more, I d choose this place. Or if you have good company, it will do half the magic. read more

Shy's service was very pleasant and prompt. She was great to talk to did well with a few special requests from our table

Delicious! Large servings and friendly service and the atmosphere and dining space was on point!

We came to Makers Union on suggestion of someone else in our party, who lives in the area. Enjoyed our meals here, but thought that, for what we got, the pricing was a bit high. I understand where we were, though. Cost of living and all that. Nice atmosphere and even though there was a game playing on the tv's at the bar and the place was pretty full (we visited on a Friday night), the ambience was not lessened. We did love the way payment for the group was handled. We asked to split the checks into 4, which I know is a pain, but the server didn't flinch. She brought around these cool Square/card reader devices for each party, which apparently are not used in any place I frequent in Charlotte, NC, and punched up our orders. Very quick and easy. We'd probably visit again if in the area. read more

Great service. Decent food. Prices ok. Nice to visit. Just average. Can't say that I would go back unless I'm the area and am bored.

Calamari, brussel sprouts, and mac & cheese for appetizers. Be warned that mac & cheese is a big serving. Everything tasted great and I'm not even a fan of brussel sprouts. Good wine menu and decent prices to get a bottle to share with the table. I got the steak and it was cooked perfectly and paired well with the wine. Since it was a birthday party we got that cool dessert where they set the cotton candy on fire. Service was good and attentive. There was a live performer at the time. Overall good experience. read more

Another Yelp assist. We started off with beers. Pretty good local brews. Then chicken wing appetizer. Quite good with a dry rub. Then dinner was fried lasagna and rib eyes ultralight. Both excellent. Then more beers throughout the evening. Good food, great service and a relaxing atmosphere. read more

We have ordered takeout from here multiple times. The frozen prickly pear margaritas are so tasty and a great portion for $10. The chicken Alfredo is basic, but very tasty. Good wings. Their fries are seasoned and topped with Parmesan and are so delicious. I will order them as a side if my dish does not come with them. The Mac and cheese is so tasty - we sometimes add lobster, but it's very tasty by itself as well. Will order from here many times in the future! read more

Made a reservation to come here for a brunch. We all got the bottomless mimosa option and it was all really good. We enjoyed the strawberry the most. It was great food overall and the service was awesome! read more

First (& likely only) visit for dinner. We started with the substantially overbreaded calamari. I've seen less breading on a Popeyes fried chicken sandwich. It's a common mistake among lesser restaurants. This one was among the least appetizing I've seen. We ate a few & didn't touch the rest. I tried their flatiron steak. Unfortunately it wasn't butchered properly leaving tendons running thru 40 percent of it. FYI, correctly butchered flatiron (a notoriously difficult meat to butcher) doesn't have tendons. Seeing the plainly visible tendons they decided to serve it anyway. My wife had alfredo pasta which was "okay". After finishing everything we then waited 20+ minutes for the waitress so we could pay. She never returned. A "manager" and other employees sat at a nearby table. After awhile they realized the waitress disappeared (only waving at them for 6 minutes did the trick) and checked us out while never addressing a 25 minute wait for a check. read more

I was told they were closing outdoor seating due to impending rain. They let us sit anyway but we were alone so we moved inside. I asked for the happy hour menu and was told it's only available outdoors or at the bar. After we were just moved inside. Waiter talked to the manager and came back with the message happy hour was over. It was 5:40 and the website says happy hour ends at 6. When we left people we're eating outside. No rain. Waiter was very attentive. This was a management issue. read more

The brunch here is great! My friend and I did the bottomless brunch and chose the fruit, brussel sprouts, Nashville chicken tenders, makers breakfast, salmon hash, and crab cake Benedict. Our favs were the brussel sprouts and the crab cake Benedict. The salmon was prob the least favorite because the salmon needed just a little more seasoning. The pricing was fair and the customer service was excellent! I would definitely visit again! read more

Makers Union surpassed our expectations. The food was amazing and service was great. Hostesses and servers were super nice. Our server, David was very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. The restaurant is COVID safe and seating is spaced out. We sat outside and they have heaters. Highly recommend the prickly pear margarita and the tuna poke. read more

Makers Union - Tuna poke, fried wings, calamari and prickly pear margarita. - Pubs Near Me - Reston, Virginia

Rushed service trying to have a quick turnaround on the tables. If I plan to have a nice, relaxing meal chilling with friends and family, I won't come here. Everything else is okay, but just dampen the experience from the rush. Menu is average bar, American flavors. The calamari and grilled Brussels sprouts are good. Drinks menu is average, they have a small listing of beers, wine, and cocktails read more
