I have a ballroom gown that is very complicated (3 layers with frills) that needs to be shortened for a dance competition in less than a week! I went to other tailors and was left feeling more and more panicked. Some even gave me the attitude and one told me to buy another gown! So when I walked into Make It Fit today, I really didn't expect too much. What I experienced was super warm customer service. Juliana looked at my gown and pinned it up for me. Brought in my suit to get fitted for my 21st birthday celebration, and it fit perfectly!! The pants were at the exact length that I wanted, and the sleeves on the coat needed to be fitted. I've been meaning to write a review on how phenomenal the customer service is here but I kept forgetting. Anyways...I've been here three times and the service is quick, with great results. I've needed my jeans hemmed, my work pants hemmed, and a rip fixed on my dress. Every single time I came in I expected to wait until the next day to pick up my stuff or if I needed it the same day, that'd Id have to wait a few hours. They surprised me by getting my work pants and my dress back to me in 10 minutes!!! I went to Make It Fit in Brea to get my gown I bought online altered after going to 2 other alteration places that told me it cannot be done due to the embroidery. I met Paula and she is Awesome! After spending the day at the mall to find a formal dress for my daughter, we were referred to Make It Fit for the needed alterations. It was located right across the street from the mall so we drove over to check it out. We showed up after closing, but Paula was still there and offered to help us. She was so friendly and professional. Paula stayed late and had my daughter try on her dress right then and took the measurements for the necessary alterations. I usually go to their store in Tustin (I live in Newport ), I called to make an appointment for my wedding dress alterations and realized that I called the Brea store so I decided to go there ; I am so glad I did ,was definitely worth the drive,let's just say that this alterations place is stunning and their work is absolutely fantastic. From the moment I walked in ,I knew I'm in the right place..My dress is very form fitted satin gown ,by Romona Keveza and must have a perfect fit,since there is no lace on it ; my appointment was with Julianna and I just pickup my dress, I am so happy with this place ,that I want to let other brides know about such wonderful service. My dress looks SPECTACULAR ,way above and beyond my expectations and the best part I only had one fitting ,second time I was able to take the dress home with me; they are that good !!and they took such good care of me,helping me get in the dress,they even put a carpet on the floor so your dress doesn't get dusty ,its nice to see how they pay attention to every detail. have been to this business on several occasions and service was great, however, on Apr 25 2013, while picking up my jacket , I was thanking the actual seamstress who usually has done my clothing in Spanish , then one of the other employees rudely scolded me for speaking to the seamstress in Spanish, she tried to justify it by saying I was harassing the seamstress which wasn't the case and that I wasn't to use Spanish in her business and rudely asked me to leave and never come back. Not only am I a Combat Veteran but also a Freemason so I am all for looking out for my Country as well as my Community , so I consider it very distasteful as well as disrespectful that this person should behave in this manner only for speaking Spanish . Could this be a case of Racism ??? or what's really the motive here at this Business ??? read more

Horrible Horrible Horrible!!! The service was atrocious. I took in two pairs of pants to be hemmed and one pair was done at least an inch too short. The seamstress said she could fix it but when I went back to get them the hem was awful. You could clearly see where the previous seam was and instead of a nice wide hem like before (wide-legged trousers) the seam was thin and it had a bunchy band that looked awful and make the pants hang poorly. I tried to be nice about it at first but the woman was just horrible. She was blaming me and saying it was my fault because they just hem them where the pin is. I countered with "Then why are the other pants just fine?" I could tell that she was the kind of person that bullys people into submission. She didn't know what she was getting herself into with me! Don't support poor customer service! You deserve to be treated well. They should go out of their way to keep customers happy not act like they are doing you a favor. Go somewhere that understands how to treat people! read more

Recently went to Make It Fit on the recommendation of a friend. Needed alterations on a bridesmaid dress. The older woman in the shop was lovely, but oh my--- THE OWNER/MANAGER WAS HORRIBLE. She had a chip on her shoulder from the start.... she did not like that I questioned or needed clarification on what she was trying to explain, in terms of what she could do or not do on my dress. She acted as if she should not have to answer any questions and was sooo insulted that.....wait for it..... she told me that she didn't need the business and I should leave! In my line of work, I have worked with prisoners and felons, quite literally, and have NEVER been treated in such a way. I tried apologizing for any misunderstanding and assured her that I did not mean to insult her, and she totally ignored my plea to start over. She said, "once on bad foot, on bad foot forever, so GO!" If that is true, then I am forever on a bad foot with Make It Fit, and strongly suggest that if you are reading this review, that you pass and go elsewhere.
