What a fantastic bakery with wonderful choices and delights! Everything is fresh and delicious and very French!

Two Marquise custard puffs (2.50 each) and a huge vanilla bean flan (7.50)

We tried their Pain Suisse today with a large Americanno on a rainy day. Flavor and texture was good but there was no custard inside. It melted away and looked like melted butter inside (see photo). The chocolate had also completely escaped the bread so it was just a hollow piece of bread with dried chocolate hanging on the bread. Will come back to try other items but they should put a little more care/love into their pastries.

Visited the bakery today (2/12/26) to grab some canelés, lemon meringue tart, vanilla flan...and of course that almond and chocolate croissant! All wonderfully delicious! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I'm definitely a fan! Plenty of street and lot parking nearby. _______ A friend treated me to some of the most wonderful croissants without having to cross the bridge. What one expects from a well made croissant with its rich, buttery, airy, soft interior with flaky exterior, Maison Benoit makes these so calorie-worthy and worth the price tag! I do have my favorite spot in Albany/Oakland but the almond chocolate croissant has me craving more. Oddly, I'm usually not into chocolate croissants but Maison Benoit makes a good almond chocolate ($7.50) with chunks of quality chocolate vs a paste piped down the middle resembling a tootsie roll...not good. Looking at the Yelp pics I may have to make a trip and pick up a bunch of goodies! I'm eyeing a ham and cheese, caneles and of course, anything with custard!

Still an awesome bakery with amazing food I mean the display was bursting with things we've never seen before. We got so many things! Homemade marshmallow, pizza tart, chouette, kouign Amman, strawberry cake, chocolate mousse, lattes-- everything was fantastic. The service is impeccable. They are so nice there although they did forget to give me my avocado toast, which I actually forgot to list here so must be something about avocado toast that's forgettable although they tasted wonderful. The ambience is great awesome place parking. We got lucky with rockstar parking, but it's not usually easy because it's a very popular street.

Maison Benoit has become too trendy given the quality which is just so-so. Expect long lines. The butter croissant is $4.50 and the croque monsieur which was always traditionally an affordable French meal is $13.50. Seating is limited.

Met a friend in Danville for a quick run and decided to grab coffee afterward. She mentioned a new café/bakery called Maison Benoit, known for their delicious croissants. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a beautiful display of pastries and sandwiches--and a line of eager customers, which is always a good sign. We ordered two lattes and croissants, and wow... it honestly tasted like we were in France. Everything was fresh, buttery, and perfectly made. Definitely a spot I'd go back to again.

Had the vegetarian sandwich on crispy sour dough.... Delicious!!! The food is so very tasty and the place is always full of locals.

I was here last year and had a slice of Galette Des Rois. It was delightful and delicious! I didn't know it was seasonal!!! Well, here I am. I ordered a 6-person cake before Christmas and picked it up today. I. Am. Prepared. I can't wait to eat a slice!!! To tide me over, I bought an éclair chocolat and a Paris Brest for the family to share. Because my New Year's resolution is to enjoy life! I live to eat!! The service here has always been great! There's usually a line but patience is a virtue. They have a system and if you follow along, you'll be out of there quickly. I try to pronounce the name of the pastries in French but if it gets butchered, it's all good. The staff can probably guess what you want. If there is a line, there might not be a place to sit. They have indoor and outdoor tables. Everything here is amazing! They have savory bites as well. The baguettes and loaves of bread are fantastic! The owner is French and his bakers are French who are trained in France. The butter and cheeses are imported from France. So you're practically French when you walk in the door! Can't say enough good things about Maison Benoit.

Beautiful bakery, with delicious and fresh baked goods. I ordered a chocolate croissant and it was flakey and good, but wish it had more chocolate, there was so little! Looking forward to coming back to try the other stuff when I'm in the area.

Kouign Amann: Flaky, but a tad tough and dry, needs more flavor. Pain aux Raisins: A bit anemic, needs more flavor. Canele: Dry, no carmelized taste, no custard. Needs more flavor. Spinach and Feta Quiche: Flat, not fluffy or silky. Waited for it to come to the table for a like warm bite. Matcha Latte: Barely any matcha and was lukewarm. Needs more matcha and flavor. Great spot for Danville, pastries look great, but disappointing overall. I expected more deliciousness and decadence or some wow factor. The name was captivating. Very average.

I decided to try their much hyped croissants. On a sunny Thursday morning got a close parking spot .This morning cafe pastry spot is much liked by the Danville locals and the busy atmosphere shows it. I was kinda in a hurry so I just ordered a chocolate croissant like $5 , it made an absolute mess in my car . These are delicious but the chocolate in the middle while tasty was small ,very decadent chocolate. These type of thing are better eaten like the outside tables. For my first impression of this place was it was good but I need to try the sandwiches to make a final final decision. One thing that stood out was the "NO CASH ACCEPTED" . It just shows the sign of the times , I understand it speeds up the line and better for safety purposes. I have lived here in the tri valley for quite some time and drove by this place and never once noticed this place really hard to notice as the sign just blends with the buildings this a good thing and a bad thing I guess.

Came back here recently with the parents to grab some ham and butter sandwiches, croissants, salmon quiche, and a Matcha latte. This place is always pretty lively and crowded. Of the times I've been there's always been a line. But the folks behind the counter are very friendly and efficient. The line was pretty fast. Another great visit. One of my parents' favorite places.

Located on Railroad Street, which is the heart of Downtown Danville. This is a must visit award winning, French bakery. Known for their delicious, crispy croissants. I recommend their regular croissants, but their lemon meringue is absolutely amazing! I also tried their savory hot dog croissant, which was more like an Italian sausage, spicy and juicy. They can heat up this dish for another 5 minutes delay, but worth the wait. Be sure to enjoy a vanilla latte with your pastries.

First off, don't let the name fool you because despite its name it's actually a Korean bakery, not a French bakery. They do have a lot of French inspired pastries though, like croissants. I keep seeing people on TikTok eating those cylinder shaped Croissants filled with creamy custard or chocolate cream, so naturally I had to try one when I saw them at the store. I also knew I had to try the Salted Bread since Japanese style salted bread has been super viral all over Asia lately. We ended up getting both, and honestly they were pretty good. Let me start with the Salted Bread, the inside had that signature hollow interior with a slightly crusty exterior, so it felt pretty legit. The salty crust paired really nicely with the buttery flavor of the bread. It was good, but I don't get the hype around it. I know some people are completely obsessed with salted bread, but to me it's basically just really good bread tasting like salted butter. I like it, but it's just not enough to make me obsessed with it. Then we tried the cylinder shaped croissant that was half dipped in chocolate, and that was pretty good too. Obviously room temperature croissants just don't hit the same as warm freshly baked ones, but for room temperature ones, these were pretty solid. I also really liked the interior of the shop. Everything looked super clean, modern, and chic. All the baked goods were displayed really beautifully too. I'd definitely come back again the next time I'm in the vicinity, and next time I'll try some of their other stuff too.

Creamy and slightly fruity with that thick buttery crust-- amazing! Pistachio Ricotta cake was light and moist. Perfect when you want something delicately sweetened for tea time. Red Velvet cheesecake cup was just ok for me due to the cheesecake frosting. I think I would've preferred a whole slice of cake instead. This bakery kiosk is a part of Turkish-Mediterranean restaurant Moussaka. Interior has the cutest cafe tables and chairs. Love the grey with baby pink + mint green color scheme. Step inside and go directly to the dessert display to place an order. They're also on DoorDash. Can't wait to see what Chef Nile comes up with next!

11/10 stars if I could! The cake was gorgeous - everyone commented on how beautiful the cake looked…read moreand took pictures (I'll update this with photos later). Even better than how it looked, was how it tasted! The person we were celebrating is Gluten Free and the cake was gluten free and vegan. I didn't have huge expectations of the taste based on past experiences, but i would have had no idea. The cake was perfectly moist and dense snickerdoodle flavored. The icing had that perfect texture and was cinnamon sweet. It was amazing! I live in Seattle and it was for a baby shower in Oakland. I was nervous because I've never ordered a custom cake before, I was doing it at a bakery I don't know in a city I was visiting and needs it dropped off. Alexandra eased any worries I had and made the experience memorably wonderful. The shower wasn't going to help traditional - not a drop of pink or blue so I wanted to give some direction on what I was hoping for. I sent some images as a reference and Alexandra offered input to make sure we were aligned. She then created something that went with what I was thinking, but it was even more beautiful. I know I am gushing, but I can't help it. If you are looking for a special cake that tastes as good as it looks, use Salted Holiday!

Awesome sandwiches! So glad they're in Pleasanton now I've been a fan since the Danville location…read morefor decades! It's all good! I tried their pick up option online so I could order and pay without waiting. The app even tells when your order is ready. I decided to build my own sandwich and ordered a roast beef and turkey sandwich on Dutch crunch with everything. Picked it up to a friendly greeting and smiles from all of the staff. Took it home to eat and wow this was a huge sandwich and full of ingredients. Unfortunately I noticed quickly it was all turkey and no roast beef. They forgot my meat. I sure hope they get it right next time. I should say that even without my roast beef this was an incredible tasty sandwich. Every bite got better and better. I honestly can say I haven't had a deli sandwich as good as this in a very long time. Probably the best Dutch crunch roll ever and so soft with the perfect amount of crunch and sweetness on top. This sandwich was pure heaven and so big but I was hungry and wanted to go right back for another. Still one of the best sandwiches in the Bay Area and I'm so glad there finally in my hometown of Pleasanton. I'll be back soon and very often I guarantee! It's a must try if you're in the area or even if it's a bit of a drive. Tell em Scotty sent you.

When I arrived, the worker was talking to what looked like a friend that does not work there, and continued cursing loudly and laughing with them while I stood at the register waiting to order.
