The most amazing bakery located in the east bay Danville ca, I have been looking for such a thing so I didn't have to go to Oakland or SF. We got one. Amazing quality food, service is bakery service moving you along the two. Interior has seating and so does the outside. It does have lines and can sell out so get there and be patient. read more

Stopped by Madison Benoit after eating brunch in a near by restaurant on a Monday morning and we were greeted right away by their friendly staff. The inside is very clean and it wasn't to busy. The staff were very nice and they were patient while we were choosing what to buy (everything looked delicious ). We decided on the Pain au chocolate, Almond Pain au Chocolate, Pain Suisse and Flan Vanilla. We got all our items to go since we were still full but we definitely want to come back to try their menu items and dine in next time. We had everything the next day for breakfast and everything was delicious. Look forward to our next visit. read more

We have been waiting to try this bakery, so many friends love it. Today we decided to do a morning pick up with several items. The bag was ready to go when we arrived to pick up, everything was packed nicely. The big disappointment was when we got home. One of the items(The Canele) was so burnt it was not edible. What bothered me the most is I am certain they would not have had this item in the display case in the front. To send a burnt item packed along with the rest of the order is unprofessional. A cute and tasty new spot in Danville! I went this morning with a few girlfriends. The line was out the door but it went pretty fast. Once inside, I could smell the freshly baked goods and see the warm smiles of the friendly staff. It was quite busy this Friday morning but we managed to find a nice and cozy spot - we sat on a couch underneath the bakery sign, two small tables and two comfortable chairs. They also have tables outside. Because they were so busy, the atmosphere was a bit loud and hard to hear my friends talk. My friend and I shared the smoked salmon tartine and almond pain au chocolate. The smoked salmon tartine was good and we would have preferred the almond pastry warm. Our almond milk cappuccino and oat milk latte were good, but nothing special. We will be back to try more of their different breads, sandwiches, pastries and coffee. read more

Similar quality to Bouchons. I really enjoyed their canele and croissants. A good canele is very hard to find outside of France, I am happy that I found this spot. Although on the weekends they are crazy busy. I do recommend coming here early like at 8am or 9 am. Most of items are sold out by 11am. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area. read more

It's well past time that I post a review! I lived in France for a year many years ago and had resigned myself to never again finding the perfect baguette and amazing French pastries back here at home. And then Maison Benoit arrived! We have picked up a bag full of goodies, sandwiches and baguettes nearly every weekend since they opened and are delighted by absolutely everything we've tried. And the baguettes are indeed PERFECT. Yesterday, I asked for a few trays of pastries be delivered to an assisted living home where my mom lives, for her 90th birthday. Benoit arrived himself, treats in hand, and it was pure joy watching my mom and her friends delight in the beautiful and delicious pastries he delivered. Merci bien, Benoit! Maison Benoit is an amazing family run business. The pastries are amazing and truly worth the wait. The chocolate almond croissant is so good (when it is still warm from the oven it is pure heaven!). The plain croissants are everything a croissant should be - flaky and buttery. They serve Equator coffee, which is a plus! Plenty of outdoor seating and indoor as well. This is a nice little place to sit down and have afternoon tea. Set up is buy at the cashier and self service. Love the baked goods. They are golden. Cost just about like gold too. LOL. It is not the kind of place where you would pig out but nibble and enjoy every bite to the fullest. read more

During a family walk along the Iron Horse Trail, we spotted Maison Benoit on our drive in. We decided to stop by and pick up a variety of their pastries, which turned out to be incredibly delicious. We were particularly impressed by the lightness of the pastries, their many layers, and the fact that they weren't overly sweet. The location is easy to get to, with lots of parking behind in a lot, and it's very clean, with lots of chairs and tables; yet all were filled this Saturday evening, which is a good sign. There are too many pastries, treats, and drinks to even cover, and we spent a few minutes trying to find our choices, which you mainly pick from cabinets using a self-serve tray and tongs. For drinks and cake (whole or sliced), you order those at the counter. We decided on some pastries, some cake slices, and a drink. And S'mores was the predominant theme today. We ordered a raspberry fruit bite, 2 chocolate supreme croissants, 2 S'mores Belgian waffles, a sugar mochi donut, a coffee donut croissant, 2 slices of S'mores chocolate marshmallow cake, and a slice of rainbow cake. We also got the cream cheese puff and the crème brûlée bombolone ... quite the name! And, of course, a S'mores frappe! The server helping us at the register was polite and efficient, but there was only one register open and a long line. As such, other folks were helping gather the goodies from the cake case, and as we were taking these to go, we did not realize until we were home that the rainbow cake was not a rainbow cake, but a THIRD slice of S'mores cake. Ugh. That one was chosen by the 8-year-old, who was understandably not happy, and the additional insult of paying extra (above the cost of the S'mores) for a cake we didn't get made ME unhappy too! Paid $8.29, got a $6.99 cake slice. The pastries are generally good, with some very good and some more of a "meh." Among the best were the raspberry fruit bite and the coffee donut croissant. That coffee one was a surprise, as it had a soft liquid filling we didn't realize when buying, and the taste was very coffee, which I loved. Will get that again for sure. The S'mores chocolate supreme croissant was also popular. The crème brûlée bombolone was different, with a light pastry and a filling different from what I usually find in crème puffs, and it was tasty. The waffles were not a light and airy as we would have liked, but the flavor was good. The mochi donut was a bit dry as well, not up to true Japanese bakery standards, and the cream cheese puff was all puff and short on the cream cheese (see photos). And the S'more cake was good for flavor, very rich and S'morey, but the presentation really is lacking. Not that I normally compare one chain to another, but for example, when we get Crumbl, the product is very close to the advertising. Not so with the S'more cake, and I am not even sure all the layers were there and in the proper order or proportion; check out the photos and see what I mean. However, the flavor was spot on, and that is the ultimate goal, although the "eyes eat first," as we Yelpers know! And the highlight was not a pastry or cake, but the S'more frappe. It was layered beautifully, fresh-tasting, and very S'morey (yes, a new word I now love!). We even got a second, as we had to eat this there so it could be shared by the group, and it was calling us! Definitely hope it is available next visit, and Starbucks could take a lesson in quality versus price point. Some of the pastries here are really not worth the cost for the product (would skip the cream cheese puff, for example, and the mochi donut), but everything else was very good. Other than an error in fulfilling the order correctly and a couple a poor pastries (quality), it was a good first visit, and we all would come back when near a location.

I decided to build my own sandwich and ordered a roast beef and turkey sandwich on Dutch crunch with everything. Picked it up to a friendly greeting and smiles from all of the staff. Took it home to eat and wow this was a huge sandwich and full of ingredients. Unfortunately I noticed quickly it was all turkey and no roast beef. They forgot my meat. I sure hope they get it right next time. I should say that even without my roast beef this was an incredible tasty sandwich. Every bite got better and better. I honestly can say I haven't had a deli sandwich as good as this in a very long time. Probably the best Dutch crunch roll ever and so soft with the perfect amount of crunch and sweetness on top. This sandwich was pure heaven and so big but I was hungry and wanted to go right back for another. Still one of the best sandwiches in the Bay Area and I'm so glad there finally in my hometown of Pleasanton. I'll be back soon and very often I guarantee! The staff were super efficient, and as soon as I got inside, I was in and out with my order in no time. The ambiance here is lovely--it felt like stepping into a modern, stylish bakery in Paris. The decor was chic and cozy, and I loved being able to see the pastry chefs working their magic behind the glass. It added such a fun touch to the experience! I ordered a variety of croissants for my family: two plain, two chocolate, one almond, and one with chocolate chips and custard. I visited Maison Benoit on a Sunday morning around 11 AM, and there was a long line out the door! Thankfully, the line moved pretty quickly, so the wait wasn't too bad. I decided to get a croissant, pain au chocolat, and a pavlova. So far, I've only tried the croissant, and MY WORD - it's probably the best croissant I've had in the Bay Area! It's even better than the Instagram-hyped Arsicault and Bouchon Bakery's croissant. This croissant was so buttery and flaky - absolute perfection. I also loved the vibes of the cafe. The outdoor seating really brought life to the sidewalk, making the space feel lively and inviting. I wish this kind of seating were more popular here - it adds so much charm. Parking was a bit tricky, as I had to search a little for street parking, but it was free, which was a nice bonus! My wife and I decided to try Maison Benoit during the week. We waited in line and everything LOOKED (key word here) great. We bought a variety of baked goods and departed, oh only after we discovered that they didn't take cash (one star off). We got our goods home for us and the rest of the family and were all very disappointed. Something common in the Tri-valley, it looked way better than it tasted. This place is a fun fun treat. Wow. Such love and care in every pastrie. It's all art. I was so overwhelmed when I showed up, I got so much I filled up a table. I love the golden cutlery also haha.
