Came here for Sunday breakfast. Gave 2 stars because the food was good but service affects how you enjoy a meal and leaves you wondering if you'd like to come back. Everyone who works there is dry and unfriendly. Our server took our order, served us food and we never saw her again. It was not insanely busy to excuse the fact that she never came back to see how we were doing. I had to go to the counter to ask for our bill and was looked at like I had two heads. At this point we were annoyed and disappointed because the food was good! We won't be coming back though, we'd rather spend our money where servers will at least smile at you , greet you nicely and not disappear. Very unfortunate, especially considering we were with our baby. Fyi* their patio seating is a sauna. They have mini fans blowing that provide a hot breeze. read more

I came here excited for some great biscuits but was sorely disappointed. We were barely greeted when we walked in, when we sat the waitress was cordial but not friendly. I ordered the omelette with farm veggies, biscuit and hash brown. The omelette was overcooked, the biscuit was cold, dry and hard, no butter or jam provided for it and the hash brown was hard, dry and tasted like freezer. The only thing good was my hot chocolate (i gave them the extra star for that) My husband had the egg sandwich and his eggs were soo overcooked. It's tiny inside. Nothing particularly special. The service and food, for the most part, were very good. Our server and the person behind the counter were both friendly. We were seated quickly (we arrived just before the weekend breakfast rush), and our coffee came out almost instantly. Food-wise, we ordered the Main Road breakfast sandwich with a hash brown and sausage, the Biscuits & Gravy with additional eggs, and a toffee oat cookie. The sandwich was okay--nothing out of the ordinary. The hash brown was interesting; it had carrots and what seemed like squash or zucchini in it. Not bad, just unexpected. The biscuits & gravy were excellent. The gravy had great texture and flavor, and the biscuits were fantastic.The cookie was decent--crispy outside, with a nice chew. Why not a higher score? The meal was on the pricey side--$20 for biscuits and gravy with two eggs, and $18 for a breakfast sandwich. Also, there was an odd service moment at the end. Cute cafe style restaurant in a cute small town, there was a bit of a wait but the food was great! Tried two things, first was the Duck Hash which was nice. It wasnt that filling but the flavor was tasty, like a more tender hash brown and the egg on top was nice. Second was the Crab Cake Bennie which was divineeee. All the layers to the dish come together so well and you get a hint of that crab / seafood taste with some tanginess and egginess idk it was just so good and the biscuits here are amazinggggg. Great spot for Brunch! Me and a group of friends stopped by to grab food before heading out to the wineries. They have a small indoor area and also a tented off outdoor area. It was pretty busy on Sunday so I recommend making a reservation. Our waitress was the sweetest and service was great. If you come get you need to have the biscuits! Very cute eastry located on the east end of long island. Real small town vibes. We came for sunday breakfast and it was super busy. The staff was on their A game though. Our waitress was literally the sweetest girl ever! We had a table of 6. Needed the bill to be split individually, she had no problem doing that. She was so gracious about it. Our table ordered a variety of items, from biscuits, chicken&waffles, breakfast sandwiches and eggs Benedict. And a variety of drinks. The eggs were super fresh! We stopped in for breakfast before a day of exploring the north fork. They were fully booked for father's day brunch so we opted to get the biscuit sampler to go. We enjoyed the biscuits at the gazebo down the block along with the fresh strawberries we picked up from a farm stand on the way. The biscuits were warm, buttery, crumbly, and overall SO delicious especially with the honey butter. The chive butter was great too for a more savory bite. Been coming to Main Road for years. Just stopped in again for brunch on the way to the Orient Point Ferry. The food here is always excellent. It's creative without being strange. It's interesting and familiar all at the same time. Better yet, it's consistent. Never had a poor experience in any category, from food, to setting, to service. Huevos Rancheros breakfast is a favorite. Though I often debate their perfect eggs Benedict options, using their outstanding biscuit instead of an English muffin. Though the biscuit sampler platter with different butters is also hard to pass up. Lunch for me is always their BLAT sandwich (A for Avocado). The toast they use is addicting, crispy bacon, and the avocado makes for a wonderful creamy texture with the crunchy sandwich. As you can see, we are big fans of Main Road. read more

This time around we ordered the NoFo Oyster Po Boy with a side of Smoked Salmon. The Oyster Po Boy was phenomenal! Oysters were perfectly fried and crispy and paired beautifully with the vinegary slaw. The Po Boy was accompanied by fresh homemade potato chips, which were light and perfectly salted. Definitely one of my favorite items on the menu! If you go, I would definitely recommend ordering a side of smoked salmon. Their smoked salmon is freshly made and has the perfect amount of saltiness with a delicious lemony flavor without being overly fishy, cannot recommend enough! I would also recommend getting a side of their homemade pickles. As a pickle lover they are by far some of my favorite pickles that I've ever had. Such a sweet place with the best food we've had in as long as we can remember. I had the Eggs-in-a-Hole with the creamiest grits and best roasted tomatoes. The brioche bread was light and toasted perfectly. Hubby had the Crab Cake Benny on a biscuit that included fried green tomatoes and the best lemony hollandaise sauce. Came inside, cute eating area, with more out back for warmer months. Ordered biscuit platter. 4 large warm buscuits. 4 toppings: butter, jelly, herb butter, and honey butter. I like the honey butter best, but also it was the easiest to spread since the butters were hard (from refrigerator) . I got the mac and cheese ($17) and the BLTA ($18). The mac and cheese was very bland, the only slight flavor came from the bread crumbs. The portion is enough for 1 person's entree or 2-3 people to share as a side. Definitely not worth $17. BLTA was blah as well, no much flavor, bacon well done. I just had a BLTA at another restaurant 10 days ago and it was so much better! If I was to go again, it would be for tea/coffee and biscuits. My boyfriend and I were in the area and wanted some breakfast. Handy Yelp brought us here. It's a small/medium building that looks like a house. There's street parking and a parking lot in the back. We were greeted when we entered and were asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside on their heated and covered patio. We opted for inside. We got coffee to start. It was very good! For my breakfast I ordered huevos rancheros. Two eggs with house chorizo, salsa, queso fresco, beans, avocado and tortilla. It was so delicious! It didn't need any hot sauce, salt or black pepper. And there was literally a half of avocado on my plate. I enjoyed this dish very much. My boyfriend ordered the duck hash. It consisted of Pan-seared shredded local duck confit, carrots, onions & potatoes served with 2 eggs. He enjoyed it. I also had a bite and also thought it was delish. My sister and I were on our way to Harbes Family Farm in Mattituck with two toddlers and asked to sit inside because it was hot out and we were about to spend hours in the heat. The staff was very accommodating! Giselle was our waitress and she was so much fun, chatting with the kids and playing with them.
