Kung pao chicken
Aparajita S.

I recently got one of their menus in the mail and was craving Chinese food on a cold day so decided to give it a try! They offered a lunch special on weekends so I got the Szechuan shrimp, chicken chow mein, Kung pao chicken and chicken in garlic sauce. All orders came with an egg roll, soup (we went with egg drip soup) and fried rice for under $7! The egg roll was super crispy and tasted great! The soup was also really tasty and warm. The dishes were flavorful however there wasn't a whole lot of chicken in there, and I wish there was a bit more spiciness! The shrimp dish came with 5 jumbo sized shrimp so that was plentiful. Overall, the food was really filling ( I still feel full 5 hours later) and the taste was good; however, I don't think this is my favorite Chinese takeout place. But, for the price, this place is perfect for anyone looking for a filling meal!

I've made several visits here for takeout and have been consistently pleased with the food. This small family run business cooks up some good and quick food. It's made to order and they also give a pretty generous portion at a very reasonable price point. They have a pretty large menu too. Main Moon is located in the Publix Shopping off of McGinnis Ferry Rd. They have a few tables available inside but it's pretty snug. Most of the customers I see when I'm there is taking their food to go. I wish though that they didn't charge $.50 for hot sauce or yum yum sauce. Their shrimp or house lo mein is probably one of our favorites along with their Mongolian beef. Love the fresh and plentiful veggies that come in the dishes that come with veggies. Also, they give a good protein ratio for each dish. Definitely check them out if you're looking for good Chinese takeout in the area!

Moldy egg in eggdrop soup. Disgusting.

Diner beware! Have gone here for many years, always good until last year. I'd find fatty pork pieces in the fried rice & lo mein, and one entree had sand in it, obviously something wasn't washed. An eggroll had something rectangular and hard in it, unidentifiable. I told them about it and they were sorry but it kept happening. But the last straw was moldy, yes moldy egg in the soup. Never again. I am done. I am so disappointed in what was once a quality restaurant, and I like to support small businesses, but this is beyond unacceptable. I am afraid to eat their food. The Health Dept has not inspected this place in 4 years. I think it's high time that they did. I am literally afraid to eat their food. See photo in photo section.

Regular fried wings with more of a curry color

I ordered fried chicken wings. The wings were clearly cooked in some sort of pan that wasn't cleaned because you can taste and smell the curry left over on my fried chicken wings. The color of the chicken is not that of regular wings. That shows uncleanliness and I won't recommend this location.

The nasty crab rangoons

I just ordered from this place and coming from an asian background i know how chinese food is suppose to taste like and this is not it . They cooked old meat and served us with old crab rangoons , this place is selling us cooked expired meats and the dumplings are nasty

Ive been coming to Danny's place for almost 10 years. I have tried literally everything on the menu. I enjoy their steamed dumplings. They aren't homemade but they do the trick with a beefed up ponzu sauce. I have them add green onions and sesame seeds with red chili. They fill my up and they're good. You always get cooked to order Chinese food and for the money it's a good deal. Sometimes the quality isn't where it should be but Danny and his family work very hard to make their little mom and pop restaurant go. I will say they should spend more time cleaning and organizing the little eating area but for the money and I always have a full belly and I like supporting young go getters trying to make a living in America.

8 chicken wings. 4 of normal color, and the other four I don't know what happened. How do you miss this!

The hunan had a nice hint of spice and the garlic chicken was also pretty flavorful. The Kung pao was also pretty tasty. I really liked how light the sauce was for each of the dishes. The fried rice was also delicious and complemented the dishes pretty well. Overall, it was a lot of food and tastes pretty good. We got our food within 15min but the wait time definitely picked up as more folks came in. There's a couple of tables for seating inside so definitely get there early to get a seat! I can't wait to come back and try some other dishes!

This dish is lightly battered fried shrimp with a soy sauce bases sauce with red pepper and black pepper spices. It also features other sautéed veggies like green peppers and onions. The shrimp were spiced nicely, but also had the flavor of black pepper coming through. A lot of places don't get that right. The perfect mix of that spice red pepper heat and hint of black pepper are exactly why I love about this dish. The shrimp were fried perfectly and the veggies deliciously sauted. The Haemul Jjampong was a flavor and spice bomb. The broth was so flavorful and had a great essence of the seafood in it (squid, mussels, abalone). This soup is also for people not afraid of the spice...it was SPICY, but no so much that it was unenjoyable. The spice complemented the flavor and I loved it. The take-home of the leftovers was just as good the next day! If I had to say anything that they might think of changing, would be the addition of kimchi to the banchan. The banchan was ddanmuji (pickled radish, raw white onions, marinated white onion slivers, and soy marinated peanuts). A little plate mat kimchi to wrap around the Jjampong noodles would be perfection.

The door was unlocked, so we walked in. A staff member told us they didn't open until 11:00 and asked us to wait outside. He also told us that we should only come in when the sign outside was lit. I completely understand that the restaurant has business hours, but it was only three minutes before opening. Also, it's summer and the sunlight is very bright, making it extremely difficult to tell whether the sign is lit or not. The three-minute wait wasn't the issue. What bothered me was the way the staff member spoke to us. It felt more like he was lecturing us than politely communicating with customers. Unfortunately, this experience was enough for us not to come back, and I would not recommend this restaurant to my friends.

My wife and I were craving Szechuan chicken for lunch, and since she wanted to try a new matcha tea…read morespot in Duluth, we decided to turn it into a little date day. We found a restaurant not far from the matcha shop. It felt more like a Chinese takeout spot than a traditional sit-down restaurant, so there wasn't much to speak of in terms of decor. We decided to share everything we ordered. The first dish we tried was the Szechuan noodles. The flavor was excellent, but unfortunately, the dish arrived only lukewarm, as it appeared to have been sitting for a while before being brought to the table. Next, we ordered soup dumplings, but the restaurant accidentally brought out pan-seared dumplings instead. Thankfully, they let us keep them while they prepared our original order. The pan-seared dumplings were actually very good--piping hot and full of flavor. When the soup dumplings finally arrived, they were decent but didn't quite live up to the pan-seared version and lacked the same level of flavor. Finally, our Szechuan chicken arrived. It was hot, fresh, and delicious. The chicken was crispy with a great spice profile that delivered the classic Szechuan kick without being overwhelming. It was served with fried rice, which was fine but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, the experience was good but not exceptional. The food had some strong points, especially the Szechuan chicken and pan-seared dumplings, but the restaurant ultimately felt more like a solid Chinese takeout spot than a destination dining experience.

The red bean sesame balls are my daughter's favorite dessert bite but the servers came around and offered us popsicles/ice creams at the end of the meal as well! Luxury hot pot atmosphere with the best lunch price value for what you get at AYCE all-you-can-eat for $20. I actually get their hotpot lunch menu at least once a week, like clockwork. Because it's just that good. What makes this hot pot special: Large cooked kitchen menu AUCE included in hot pot price. Including rare items, like; braised tea eggs, sichuan shredded potato, gyoza, Taiwanese style pop chicken nuggets, and more. Unlimited chicken wings, made fresh. And, the wet lemon pepper slaps. Meat portions are so large that I order half portion. Sauce buffet bar here is the best in Georgia. Super clean, refilled often, and even has amazing peppercorn oil 花椒油. Want my sauce recipe? Luxurious and cute interior space, filled with white marble and Tiffany blue tableware. Their house pickles are on the buffet and are super addictive. I eat about 3 large bowls per visit. My only complaint here is that the broths are very mild in flavor and meats aren't the highest quality --- but the value, price, cooked items selection, and sauce bar makes up for it. The beautiful Tiffany blue plating and white marble decor here reminds me of the late and lovely hotpot place in Taiwan, Jiu Zhai Shi Guo 九寨十鍋-中山旗艦店. This is the Buford location only. Other locations don't appear to have all you can eat hot pot. I still need to try their dim sum menu.
