We relocated to Santa Fe -- including our two small businesses. Mail call has provided great service at a good price for us to have a stable mailing address for USPS, UPS, FedEx et al while we have been in temporary office space and rental homes. There is always someone to sign for packages, notifications let us know when to drive in from Galisteo, plus when we ship outbound they make it easy -- always having packaging and computer generating the waybills. Hours could be longer, but pretty standard for NM. Convenient location, helpful friendly service, all-in-all great service. read more

They refuse to reveal their hidden charges, I.e. their up charge for doing business . They say it's an elite shipping service, and boy do they charge! It felt like at least 20% markup to drop it off there, vs. UPS or USPS...not going to return. read more

wrote a monolithic review, likely got some of the details wrong--removed that review. but wow, something is not right here. bottom line is these are capable people running an efficient business, BUT...after nearly two years renting a mailbox here, when an amazon return never reached amazon, i decided to let mark know--fyi--after being told by amazon that the problem was caused by an easily avoidable error made by mail call santa fe. prior to this all had seemed well. i left a five star review of this business on yelp over the 2021 holidays, commending them for keeping things running smoothly during the pandemic. but mention a package lost in transit due to their error? wow. no apology and instant resentment for mentioning it. things then went dramatically bad fast, further poor communication, escalating rudeness, and irregularities over the next few weeks. picking up a final package delivered to them i was confronted by both owners, abigail and mark. what i hoped would be an apology (was the tuesday following easter) was in fact just an angry confrontation with long, unwieldy defensiveness of their good business without addressing my legitimate complaint or resultant bad service. mark even asked me angrily to 'step outside' with him. i am a 55 year old woman. my senior dog was waiting in the car. how to just get my package and go. the whole thing so sad and sorry. just the smallest amount of courtesy could have avoided all of this. if they like you, maybe it will go ok for you here? bring baked goods. don't complain. delivery of mail is under the aegis of federal law. thank you. read more

I was mailing business letters certified with return receipt requested and was charged quite a bit higher than the USPS quote they gave me. When I asked what the surcharge was, no one would tell me, including the manager, who claimed he "didn't know." I said, you should probably figure it out because businesses typically give an itemized receipt. He said he shouldn't need to tell his wholesale costs and I said the MVD Express does and he told me I should leave. Why pay more for poor service and rude managers? read more

I cannot adequately express my appreciation for the helpful staff at Mail Call. Have been a customer for years and was reminded again today why. I had the wrong address for a USPS Priority Label that was put on the envelope, then picked up by USPS. My mistake. Only after I returned home did I realize the error and phoned to see if it could be changed - which I doubted. They phoned the postal employee, he returned w/the parcel, Mail Call changed it! I love Mail Call! Barely ever a wait and the staff are super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I'll frequently go in with a package and they will read me off options for shipping with prices and timelines. Never had an issue with packages not arriving to their destination. It's got a nice neighborhood/local feel and it feels good to support a business like that. this place is so seriously bad, the mind reels. actually started persecuting me after i let them know that an unopened amazon return i handed over to their employee never made it back to amazon. rude response from owner nick/mark. lol. then packages arriving torn up (just packaging. items were actually ok) and expensive solar panels they refused to sign for going to california by way of new york before ten days later arriving at mail call. seriously bad. criminal. the psychological bad vibe was the worst part. i dreaded that i had to walk in there and get mail. it was so awful. i pray no one else received this treatment but! come on guys, you have to be accountable to customer, right? federal laws protecting mail? statements from bank and other non trackable items just never arrived. whole package similarly awful but they got their presence removed from yelp. caveat emptor. read more

This is a great place! I am new in town and I was a little confused as to how I should proceed keeping a mail box at Mail Call, have them accept deliveries and forward my mail to a temporary address. I was helped by Jeremy who was most friendly, patient and accommodating. He walked me through the process and made it all so easy! I will add that even though there were a lot of people coming in and out for drop offs or packing and shipping, the service was so speedy that there was a wait line. Amazing! They know what they are doing and always take good care of my shipping needs. I like that they keep a record of my shipments, and are patient and kind. Let me tell you that Santa Fe is replete with bad service and businesses with people working in them (and owning them too) who are completely unresourceful and inefficient, not to mention - out to lunch. If you come here from an urban area you are in for a surprise with the way people treat you at some places. But not at the Mail Call ! This place is run in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner. They provide real service...and with a smile. Very solicitous, the way a service business should be. No attitude, no tone, no greeting you like you ruined their day when you came in the door bothering them .................Of anyone who has serviced us at the Mail Call, I don't think there's a day smoker or a day drinker in the bunch, and that's saying something in this town. I recently had a wonderful experience with Mail Call. I had gone to a pottery studio on a Saturday afternoon & taken the box of pottery all wrapped in paper directly to Mail Call to ship to my home in CA. It arrived as promised 4 days later wrapped beautifully in bubble paper & 3 boxes inside one big box. When I unwrapped it all in perfect condition I "thought" 2 small pieces of pottery were missing from the shipment. I emailed to the Mail Call people & they immediately responded. They were very concerned but thought it very unlikely that the pieces had gone missing at their location. I called the pottery studio & they conferred that we had put them in the top of the box...although, dubious that they were at fault the mail call person (Danny) said they could replace or refund the cost of the shipping. Long story short, they refunded the full amount of the shipping. Today I learned from the pottery studio that in fact the pieces were still there. So my mistake & yet the Mail Call people were so nice & accommodating, only to please me as a customer. So I have emailed them that I owe them an apology plus the cost of shipping again! Mail Call is fantastic! I'm an artist who always pre-packs my work before taking it to a shipper because of the nature of the art. I changed my technique and just sold my first piece from that collection. Marc at Mail Call couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. He explained that I wouldn't have to pre-pack my work because Mail Call uses custom packing material that provides excellent protection. I was hesitant at first because I was so used to doing my own pre-packing, but Marc's explanation and time with showing me the process eased my concerns. He also worked with me on getting the piece shipped within the timeframe that was required per the agreement with my collector. On the day of shipping, I went to pick up the work to take to UPS. Marc said if I had the UPS shipping label all prepared, he could just give it to UPS when they picked up that afternoon. Also, Marc put the label on the side of the box and explained to me that putting it there would prevent UPS from laying the box flat (which prevents UPS from piling other boxes on it - brilliant!). Marc also showed me pics on his computer that he took of my art piece as they were packing it. Talk about thorough!! Needless to say, the art piece arrived to my collector in perfect condition. I'm so glad to find Marc and Mail Call and look forward to a long and prosperous business relationship with them! read more
