So many times New Methods has rescued my item. Somehow or another I get crazy stains on stuff. I try to use google advice to remove the stain myself -with failures! This time, I called Lawrence, after I tried removing a lot of Sharpie pen from an expensive sleeping bag with diluted rubbing alcohol and WD40 (DON'T DO THAT -it can set the stain more). He said "Bring it on in and I'll see what I can do." Lo and behold-it all came out!!! Thank you, thank you New Methods Cleaners! Note to self (and you all) "Don't try stain removal at home". Take it straight to The Professionals at New Method Dry Cleaners! (And... don't try to wash it and put it in the dryer... take it to New Methods - and, well, if you did all the wrong things... still, take it in -you might be happily surprised. I've been taking my cleaning to New Method for the last couple of years and have always been extremely satisfied with the work and the staff. Just great. The other day my husband spilled dirty water on a beautiful needlepoint pillow cover and just got it back looking better than when I got it! They are quick, reasonable and extremely professional. I also really like the fact that they use safe cleaning procedures. My father owned dry cleaners from the '50's to the '80's and unfortunately the methods for cleaning utilized very toxic ingredients. I grew up in the business and feel like I am very good judge. This business scammed me out of $113. I brought in a rug approximately 5x8 and asked if they could deep clean it because it had dog urine in it. The owner was rude to me the second I came in. I should have known better than to trust that they provide quality service. After being quoted $113 and a wait time of 4 days i left and didn't hear back from them so I called to check in after two weeks I was told they would call me when the rug came back. I never received a call so I stopped by to check in. When I showed up the owner loaded the rug into my car and was hesitant to hand me the rug. But when it was in the car I realized it was dirty and dusty the way I brought it in. It still reeked of urine and I could see the piss spots on the underside of the rug. That's when I realized nothing was done as far as service at all. I told the owner I was comfortable paying $113 for service that wasn't provided and he told me he used a 3rd party to clean it and put some random man on speaker phone. The owner and who ever this guy was both laughed at me for requesting a refund and suggested I cut the bottom portion of the rug out as a solution. I was rejected a refund so I left upset. I waited a day before going back for a receipt and the owner started arguing with me and nearly refused to print me a receipt until I told him I was contacting the BBB. That's when he decided it was ok I got a receipt. I've never had to deal with anything like this but I think it's important everyone knows that this man is a scam artist. And will rip you off if he gets the chance. I took the rug to another local business and they confirmed that the rug was in-fact never cleaned like new method dry cleaners claimed. And I had to spend another $90 to get it cleaned. I highly suggest going anywhere else. Save your self time, money, and energy. This business is a fraud. read more

Not recommended, due to poor work quality and poor business response. I took in two pairs of pants that needed one leg repaired on each. The person at the counter said that they would be ready in one week and that they would call me. They never called after a week, so I called them and went in to pick up the clothes. On one pair of pants, the tailor did not use matching thread and the thread lines were so crooked I thought she'd been sewing while drunk. On the other pair, which only needed to have the hem re-stitched, the stiches were so loose that I could run several fingers between the stitches. The work would not have gotten a passing grade in a high school home economics class. The person at the counter (Rick) readily agreed it was unsatisfactory and said it would be redone and ready in three days. I called at the three-day point and they didn't know where the clothes were and said they would call me back in a few hours. They didn't call back. I called again right before closing and went in to pick up the clothes. The work had not been redone. Rick was behind the counter again and wanted to keep the pants longer to show the owner that the tailor was not performing. I said I did not want to come in a fourth time for simple hemming that I could have done myself, if I had known what a headache this would turn out to be. Rick said he would have the owner (Lawrence) call me to refund the $24 I had paid for a service I had not yet received. After three business days, the owner had not called me. I called again, left a message with a different employee, and the owner still did not call back. I'm out $24 and the pants still need to be hemmed... read more

Brought my things here to be dry cleaned for thanksgiving and they closed early the day before and did not tell me they were going to be closed early nor had any signs posted they were going to close early. So now my sons don't have any dress clothes to wear for Thanksgiving. read more

This is only sustainable dry cleaners in town. They do tough jobs too. Their work is done very well and always on time. Now they deliver.

Terrible service. I was told my dry cleaning and repair would be ready by Wednesday at 5. I go midday Thursday and one of the sweaters is not ready. I come back 24 hours later, and it's still not ready. I ask to pick up the remaining sweaters and told I have to pay for everything or nothing at all. I am hesitant to pay for a sweater that is no where to be found. No help from the young guy at the register; no manager on site. No apologies, no attempt to help; just matter effect that the stuff is just not ready. I have to come the third time to pick up my stuff. read more

I've been to the New Method Cleaners a few times and though I'm happy with the service and the staff, its just that their dog kept circling me, snarling and barking. It was nerve wracking since I've been bitten by dogs before. So for that reason I'll have to think long and hard about returning to this cleaner. read more

Sloppy work, and a particular warning for trans/non-binary/POC/folks with non-normative bodies: I'm a trans POC and brought in a dress along with a few other pieces of clothing to get cleaned here the other day. The man at front wasn't very friendly when I dropped off the clothes and showed him the specific areas of the [women's] clothing I'd dropped off, which is neither here nor there, as he seemed attentive enough. I came to pick up the clothes today and he was perfectly kind and polite to the old white man who was ahead of me, and then when it came to me, he immediately got defensive and explained that part of a button had been broken off my dress and the stain that I had pointed out was still there. Ok, I know things like this happen. The thing is he kept on referring to my dress as a "costume": that I should just glue the jewel part back onto the button of my costume, that he would have charged more for it to begin with (because it's for a big girl? Because it's not a style that he likes? It's a basic blazer dress with jeweled buttons...), before finally agreeing to not charge me for the [non-]cleaning (and breaking!) of just my dress. He never actually apologized though, showed no remorse, was defensive throughout, and the way he kept on referring to my dress as a costume implies that I am some caricature of a person, some outlandish character in a theatrical production because of how I choose to dress/present myself. I am not asserting that the man is racist/homo/trans-phobic, but his attitude and service leaves it questionable, as I and other POC/GNC people experience these sorts of subtle micro-aggressions everyday. Aside from all this, the work is just plain sloppy. I came home to find that there were still stains (the oily kind that could have come out with some care at other dry cleaners) on a different silk shirt. So i paid for my clothes to remain dirty and to feel denigrated as a person. Do better, educate yourself, and treat people with respect. read more

Terrible customer service! The "owner" in a "new" truck (white) was absolutely unsympathetic to my needs! The receipt provided to me specified a date to pick up my item--it was not in the store! He could care less! No apology...no remedy, etc. I was finally able to pick up my shirt, and the collar was all wrong. I will never return to this place--discount or not! read more
