3 weeks for sleeves to be shortened? I don't think so. I went to Albuquerque and had it done in 3 days.

Sarah was absolutely amazing when it came to making alterations in my wedding dress! When I bought…read moremy wedding dress I was unaware of what serious alterations it would need. It needed the regular things, like taking in the waist and the length a bit, but it also needed a lot of extensive bodice work which I did not realize when I bought it. I called around all over Albuquerque trying to find a seamstress who would be willing to work on it with no luck. It was less than a couple of weeks (yes! less than 14 days!!) before my wedding and I was ready to embrace what I thought was an ugly wedding dress when finally I was given Sarah's name. Sarah was so sweet and understanding. She was fun to talk to and she listened really intently to what exactly it was that I had been going all over Albuquerque trying to find. She literally cut up my dress while I was still wearing it, which was a HUGE relief to me, and pinned it up exactly how I wanted it. She said she would contact me in a couple of days, which she did, and a couple days after that I came to the store and my dress was absolutely perfect and ready to go! Not only did Sarah do the impossible- completely alter the structure of a wedding dress in a very short amount of time- her price was also incredibly reasonable. I walked out of the shop with a $70 bill which I was in shock about considering the work she did was something that no one else in the city was willing to touch. I just cannot recommend Sarah enough. She. Is. Amazing.

I came to Maria in desperation with tears in my eyes when a week before my wedding another tailor…read moreruined my dress. My bridesmaids and some groomsmen were getting alterations with her so I decided to come to see if she could save my dress. She was extremely busy that week and could not take any more work as they were already rushing, but Maria saw my desperation when I came in through her doors, destroyed. My expensive wedding dress was ruined by Seams Unusual, and even though she was busy she accepted to take on the hard work (once a dress is ruined by another tailor, it's extremely hard to fix) was able to re design the dress in a way where you would no longer see the tears on the illusion neckline and back by doing beading handwork all over the dress, take it in 2 sizes, fix the horrible sewing and help with the pencil marks the dress had from the other "alteration" in THREE DAYS! She saved my dream dress that took over 60 try ons to find. Her and her team are extremely professional and talented! Take your expensive delicate stuff here, it will be in great hands. She is an artist!

The work done on the pants I had was excellent. Their front end customer service rep I did not care…read morefor him. He was rather Kurt and had negative things to say about older people. He said to me I work with a lot of old people and I corrected him right away. I'm sorry I'm older but I'm not old. I found it very inappropriate for him to label me or anyone of a certain age calling them older in a rather unflattering way as in not with it. Another way of saying it would be patronizing
