OMG !!! This is by far the best shop for all you alternations needs. We had a very bad experience with another shop and Deb and her team swooped in to the rescue and saved the day and the wedding dress. I will never and I mean never trust anyone else !! 100 out of 10. Thanks for saving the dress and the day. The wedding was perfect. You all are the best !!! read more

Rude owner, expensive and lazy work. When I expressed the thread didn't hold I was ignored. I have messages and photos and receipts and willing to share if this shady business tries to deny it since I can't imagine how else they have so many good reviews. read more

I highly recommend them for alterations. The fitting was fast and friendly and my clothes turned out perfectly. Their pricing is very fair too! read more

Very helpful. I took a dress in to be altered as the waist needed to be taken in. The owner took the time to suggest adding straps for comfort and adjusting the waist in the back, rather than along the zipper for a more affordable fix. They returned my dress within 2 weeks and it looked perfect. I highly recommend this shop Thank you! read more

The alterations were perfect and I was so impressed that they were able to do 3 pairs of pants in very short order...I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to pick up the same day within a couple of hours. Even with a rush charge, the charge was very resonable. read more

They did a great job with a bridesmaids dress I took in. Great service and attention to detail. Reasonable quote and prices along with good turn around time read more

new to town and was looking for a new place to get clothes altered (my grandmother was a seamstress and i like my clothes to fit right). checked it out based on the good reviews with my items and they said they could do my alterations but they were working on a wedding dress fitting so requested i schedule a consultation for the following week. i did and when i came back, the manager was quite cold during my fitting. she also claimed one of the alterations i wanted was physically impossible based on the double seam, i knew this was wrong and she simply didn't want to do it, and i had it successfully done with another tailor in town. i did have them alter another item (a simple downsizing) and it seems like they barely made an alteration at all. i'm unhappy with the result and am getting it re-altered elsewhere. the owner was super nice and i think they may prioritize wedding dresses and gowns as it seemed like they give those projects lots of care, maybe just not into actually sewing whatever though! read more

Going to Sew Whateva was my very first time seeing a tailor. I am crooked from scoliosis and my clothes don't fit properly off the rack, so I brought a few items to the SW team with the hope they could adjust the garments to my body specifically. They did! I'm so pleased that I was able to keep my favorite clothes and now they are fitted to my exact silhouette. Definitely a confidence booster. read more

I feel so lucky to have found this shop! I had a blouse that needed a lot of work to fit me and Rose did an amazing job altering it so it looked just right. I was also on a tight schedule and she worked with me to get it done super quick. I highly recommend Sew Whateva!! read more

I had many of my own clothes (jackets, dresses) altered at Sew Whateva along with my wedding dress. Deb and her team are fantastic and quick! My wedding dress was overall very simple and didn't have any lace or any details on it. They were able to get my main alterations done within 2 weeks. Then did a second fitting to see if any additional alterations were needed and added on the bustles. This took 1 week and the dress was ready at my third and final fitting! (Again the quick turn around time was really just because my dress is very simple. It might take longer if my dress had more intricate details/ lace). It might be on the pricier side in terms of cost as they charge by the hour, but I think the quality of their work is worth the cost. The final cost wasn't surprising to me -- I did expect a certain cost for wedding dress alterations and it was actually a bit lower than what I expected. Overall, I was really happy and pleased with how my wedding dress turned out! I will still continue to use them for my future alterations. read more

Brought them jackets that needed some loving and one knit sweater that is a family treasure that needed some TLC. They did a great job on all four of the pieces that I brought in and I've now found my new favorite alterations place, hopefully you will too. read more

Reasonable price and quick turnaround. Have gone to them on multiple occasions and will continue to take all my alterations to them

I came in to get a bridesmaids dress altered. Many other shops were booked out saying I needed a minimum of 4 weeks prior to the wedding date. This shop said two was plenty and proceeded to turn it around in much less time! They're super friendly, efficient, and so well priced! I'd highly recommend to anyone! read more

I went to Sarah about six months in advance of my wedding (because that's how long they were booking out in Chicago where I got my dress) and she told me to come in a month before the wedding so we scheduled a fitting then. My dress needed to be taken in about two sizes and shortened a bit as well which was the tough part because of the intricate lace. About a week later she had most of it done and wanted me to do a fitting for the bottom again and for the bustle. Everything was so perfect and she did an incredible job with the lace on the bottom. No one could notice it was hemmed at all which was impressive! I would go to her with anything I ever wanted tailored again without hesitation. Amazing work! read more

Deborah has done multiple fully custom from scratch pieces for me from a bikini and theme wear for a fitness competition to a custom designed wedding dress. All absolutely PERFECT and wonderfully made. Deborah is beyond talented and gifted in what she does. Best in the state and no one can touch her. She also did all my bridesmaid dresses and many of my friends wedding dress alterations. She has also done many alterations as well for me. Noting is too simple and nothing is to hard. Her and her girls are all wonderful (plus funny) and can get any job done! 100% satisfied and happy with the quality and experience. Would recommend them all day!! These ladies are the best in town!! I took my wedding dress to them 3 weeks before my wedding, and they did an amazing job. My dress was altered to perfection, and was done earlier than expected! It was not a super simple dress either, lots of lace and layers. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend!! I will be taking all of my future dresses here! read more

Sarah has done alterations on my wedding dress a few months ago. She had it perfect in just 2 weeks. My alteration was small, but because of all the deliicate beading and lace I can't imagine how she magically did it, but she did and it came out perfect! Plus, I wasn't charged an exorborant amount. It is hands down the best alteration spot in Albuquerque! read more

Extremely overpriced, with long wait times. I can only compare to past experience at other shops. First experience at Sew Whateva (Sept 2019) I had two nice shirts altered. After years in law enforcement I like my clothes to fit neat, even regular clothes. The shirts came out good, but was surprised at the cost and long (4-5 weeks) lead time. Upon arrival, one shirt wasn't even done, so they pulled it off the rack and did it real quick. Next visit May 2020, I bring in three pair of shorts. Lead time 5-6 weeks. Price tag a whopping $120! They claimed it took very long to complete the work and hourly rate is high. Few months later, out of disparity I brought in another shirt and they wanted around $65. This time I called the owner directly and complained. For reference, I had a shirt altered across the freeway at Men's Wearhouse, last minute and they did it for me in 10 minutes! Cost was $12! In California, I've had up to six uniform shirts/pants altered, with new patches sewed on for around $180. And it only took 7 days! I was given an excuse about COVID, and somehow the work they do with the "film industry" kept coming up. read more

I stopped in a few minutes before they were about to close with the hopes they could do an on the fly hem for me and they were SO helpful and nice and friendly! They had me try on the pants and together we decided on a length. After dropping them off, they had my pants done so quickly and the price was unbeatable. Highly recommend anyone with a alteration need check these folks out! Really happy with the way my pants came out and now I'm interview ready with the confidence of well fitting pants! :) read more

No only did they do a fabulous job in just 2 days, they truly cared about making my dress perfect for my wedding day. I cant not say enough wonderful things about this team!! read more

The work was excellent on the dress however the price was exorbitant (alterations cost more than the dress to bring up the hem and bring the body in at the bust) compared to other tailoring I've had done for bridesmaid dresses. I bet they'd be amazing for something like bridal where your dress is the main event but it was pricey for a bridesmaid alteration. read more

I found this place based on reviews. I was happy they were able to get me in for my wedding dress alterations as well as my wife. So yes two wedding dresses that needed adjustments. My dress fit well I just wish it was a little longer but over all looks good. My wife's dress looked perfect. Over all they do a great job. read more

I've been using Sarah at Sew Whateva for a few years now and have always been pleased with the quality of her work. After having another shop butcher the alteration on a nice sport coat, I brought it here and she showed me what wasn't right. A week later, it was perfect! Upon picking the sport coat up, she mentioned that she specializes in leather work. A little while later I brought my $1500 leather motorcycle racing suit that had been damaged in a crash. Her repair was clever and I trust it completely for another high speed mishap. Strongly recommended. read more

These ladies cut a lot of length off my many layered tulle wedding dress and also did a lot of alterations on the long lace and see-through sleeves. I love this shop and the employees. Expect quality work and friendly faces ! Prices are great also. I highly recommend !

Fantastic! I needed a dress hem shortened for an event on the weekend. I went by the reviews on several places here on yelp. I called them on Monday afternoon and needed it by Friday. They got me in for the fitting that afternoon to make the alteration and left my gown there, confident that it would be ready by the weekend. The dress was ready by Tuesday!! Reasonable price and beautiful work. It's perfect! And the ladies that run the shop are so nice and friendly! Definitely recommend this shop. read more

So, I'm giving this establishment 5 stars for creativity with their name. I realize this may not be a recommended review. I've never had to get anything altered before so I was a little nervous. Plus it was a formal dress and I'm just so insecure in dresses. My total was $95, $75 for the hem because it was a double layer dress plus $15 for a rush fee because I needed it in a week and I got it right on time! These ladies were so sweet and made me feel so comfortable while they were pinning my dress for the hem while I was wearing it. Not to mention my dress was perfect I will definitely come back if I ever need anything altered again. read more

They did an amazing job on repairing a leather jacket that was flaking. The whole upper section of the back needed to be replaced with new material. They did a flawless job and restored it so it looked like nothing ever happened. They were very upfront and considerate about how much it was going to cost and the amount of work it was going to take. I would definitely recommend them for any of your tailoring need. read more
