My parents have been using Martinizing for twenty years and have always been happy with them. They get their clothes back clean and at a reasonable price. They people there are very friendly and knowledgeable. There is one glitch too funny not to mention though. They keep sending my dad emails and texts every few weeks saying he's got laundry that needs to be picked up or it will become theirs as they've help it for over 200 days. They say they don't actually have anything on hold for my parents and that it's a glitch in their system, but they can't figure out how to fix it. I was on the road and needed some dry cleaning done and my hotel didn't send stuff out so I Googled dry cleaners and came up with this, the closed to my hotel. They had my polo shirt and shorts done in no time; brought them in around 8 and they were done in a few hours. Unfortunately, they RUINED the polo shirt; it was black and came back several white splotches on it. The shorts came back wrinkled as hell! Avoid this place at all costs! read more

Our washer went out while we had all my grandkids here. We bundled up all the dirty clothes and sheets and took them to Martinizing number two. I got all the wash back , folded properly and no lost socks. All the folded laundry was placed in these really nice bags that I am returning to them. This was a wonderful experience and I will be using them again. read more

Update: why did I try again? Unwise, but I brought in an organic quilt and asked them to LAUNDER it. They dry cleaned it, with what seems to be extra gusto, so my organic item was super-slathered in cleaning fluid and still stinks months later. They ruined it, it will be thrown out. Just don't use them--but who to use? Again, check your item and your bill. read more

Do not bring your clothes to this dry cleaner. After 3 tries... i just cant bring my clothing here. Every time i drop off clothes to be dry cleaned there is at least 1 item damaged. For the first time, I tried Martinizing Cleaners at Rodeo and Camino Carlos Rey roads. I took a doily runner that belonged to my mom. It was an heirloom and an antique. When I picked up my cleaning and looked all items over, I discovered the doily ripped around the edges. I was heartbroken. I immediately took it back. The lady there put a note on the doily to repair and sent it back to cleaning, stating the girls should mend the edges. It was sent back with no repairs. I asked for compensation for the loss in future cleaning. Well I've received nothing from this place. I caution people to not use this business for cleaning!! read more

Treated poorly at the Martinizing Alterations on St Francis. I always found it odd that they don't give out a pricing sheet for price reference so you have an idea of what you can expect to pay for a given alteration. I needed sleeves lengthened on a blazer an alteration I have had done several times before. I am a bigger man and off the rack usually won't cut it. I like looking my best and don't mind paying to have alterations made. I was told it would be eighty some dollars per jacket. A couple months earlier I payed thirty for the same alteration. This is a significant increase and when asked I was told this is just how it is they don't make the prices. On one jacket the sleeves came back uneven so I took it back to be done again. It was eventually corrected. I will not use Martinizing Alterations again and can take my suits to a professional Taylor where I can have them done right for a fraction of the price. read more

I took 5 pairs of slacks in to be hemmed to a 30" inseam. After i picked them up & tried them on 2 of the 5 were too long & much longer than the others. I took them right back & they had me try them on, pinned them then said because they didn't do the initial pinning it was not considered a re-do & I was going to have to pay another $30 for them to fix them. I took the pants back & will take them elsewhere. This is not good customer service. I won't return to them. read more

I took in one dress. When I picked it up the cost was $17.80. This dress was just cloth and no special instructions. They never told me how much it would when I dropped it off. I moved here from Washington DC where a dress was $10 or less to get cleaned. Don't even both printing their coupon from their website. If you don't have it at drop off, even as a new user, you can't get credit afterwards. Maybe when new users who come in you should apply the coupon automatically. The staff were nice enough but I feel ripped off since they don't post their prices for customers. I will not be back. read more

I just moved to Santa Fe from New Orleans and was looking for a drive thru dry cleaner because in New Orleans there are no drive throughs due to high crime. I was thrilled to see Martinez dry cleaners had one. I had an old vintage used coat that I thought had had its day and they rejuvenated it! I had a fluffy pink jacket that I was sure they wouldn't be able to clean without turning it into mush. It was perfect. My husbands cashmere sweaters were perfect and this was all ready in less than 24 hours! I'm sold. They also are very nice people. Every dry cleaner has irs gripes on yelp but I am pretty happy to have found them. read more

Don't go here. They rip you off. Hiked up prices without saying anything. I brought in my military uniforms for changes to my patches and hemming of pants. My hemming fell apart on one pair of pants and I brought it back after two washes later. They charged me $10 for the one pant leg to be redone. I showed them how the other one was not done well and they said they would fix. Then when I went to pick up uniforms I was told $60. Which is about $25 more than expected. I explained the prices had increased from two months ago and they should have said this at drop off, also the pant leg was their error. The girl checking me out said they charge for redos if it's more than two weeks after and I could come back another time to complain bc the manager wasn't there and no one else I could talk to. I needed my uniforms as I am active duty military so was forced to pay and leave. Terrible customer service. read more

If you appreciate high price, poor quality, unapologetically bad service and inappropriate anti-feminist banter, Martinizing is your place! I took in several items to be mended including (2) organic cotton pencil skirts. The basic mending on my items was adequate, but the (2) skirts were my priority... as they are work attire. I was given a quote for "hidden hems" when I dropped my clothing off, but when I picked up my items, it was $20 more than I was quoted. The response to my question about the cost was completely inappropriate. The older woman behind the counter simply said I was quoted for a single hem, but I needed a double hem for the hidden front seam (sorry I can't recall the exact term here). OF COURSE I needed that hidden front hem. That is what I asked for and understood I was ordering from the young woman taking my order! The older woman proceeded to go on a tangent about how the hem need to be hidden, or the "men in the office would take notice." Are you f**king kidding me, lady? Normally, I might have gone off like a fire cracker over this alone, but I'm new to the area and am still getting used to the culture. Also, I just wanted my skirts. For over $30 per skirt, a cheap poly-blend thread was used on my organic cotton skirts. The stitching was bare minimum creating a lumpy hem at the bottom of my skirt instead of a straight professional line. I have an identical skirt that was hemmed at a place in Portland, Oregon for $10 less and with way better craftsmanship. I have worn the heck out of that skirt and it has maintained a straight hem without ironing and no tears for a year and half. Martinizing is located between my home and work, so I would have settled for lower quality for the convenience, but this place is BAD and not worth the convenient location and especially not a good place to take treasured items. read more
