I'm glad other people have had great experiences here. Unfortunately, I did not.
First, the man who waited on me and greeted me--probably five different times--never once smiled at me or made me feel welcome. Fortunately, the gentleman who I assume was the owner, was more gracious.
I had a booklet to be printed and bound. They were very accommodating about my request and printed it in a timely manner. Unfortunately, a few days afterwards I discovered that all booklets had one page missing--two sides of a paper, right in the middle of the document. Of course, missing two full pages ruined the document. Reading it did not make sense. I checked my original submission and all pages were there.
I returned and informed them of the error. I do not remember them apologizing or showing any remorse. I had hoped, of course, that they would redo the order. Instead they said they would only redo the latter half of the document--from the missing page onward. Unfortunately, I had already altered the document, making changes to the original--both on my laptop and on the printed page. They remained adamant that all they would do was reprint the latter portion.
I was so upset. Eventually I went back on another day and said, "Instead of reprinting all 25, would you consider reprinting eight." They agreed. And then they charged me! I couldn't believe that they didn't want to make this right! I did some math for them and they finally came down to $13 for the eight.
Recently I reviewed one of the eight. There are subtle lines throughout the text, showing that the ink was starting to run low. So, although legible, it doesn't look professional.
Upshot? I spent about $150 for eight imperfect booklets.
I have never been so unhappy with a business. I had wanted to patronize a local place, even though a chain like Office Depot probably would have been cheaper. And I left feeling totally unappreciated. Worse, I felt like they were judging me for complaining about an error that was their fault. read more
