I have never met her cleaning crew. They were scheduled to arrive at my condo at nine tomorrow. Today, I was asked to commit to bi-weekly service which I did. It is not easy to get decent or above average cleaning. But I made the mistake of adding a caveat to my commitment to bi-weekly service. I said my intent was to keep her team coming every two weeks but their performance might influence that decision. Well, A-Cleaning Service, Beatriz, does not give the benefit of the doubt to the new client. She simply said she canceled and would not send the crew she had promised. Obviously she does not lack for clients and can afford to be picky. Still I wish she had had a strong confidence in her team's ability to do a good job. Instead she pulled the plug on me and it was all over before it began. Not a good feeling. On the other hand I questioned why Beatriz never visited my unit, told me only that a new crew would come tomorrow at 9:00a.m I was not sure what to expect. She told me she would not be coming to make introductions of her crew to me or to inspect the property. And she added they speak Portuguese but can communicate with basic English. I knew I was giving late notice, but Tonya was able to get me in before the end of the month. They started on time and were able to shift gears as the office was a bit worse for wear. She came out with a carpet cleaner and we were able to go from a basic clean to a deep clean with carpet cleaning at a very reasonable price. As I was preparing to move into my new home in February 2021, I decided that cleaning the home was not something I wanted to deal with during the move-in process. After doing research and reading through reviews, I decided to go with this company. They are definitely more expensive than other cleaning companies in the area but I figured it was due to them being thorough. On the day of the cleaning, I allowed 3 of their staff, including one of the co-owners, into my home to clean the vacant house. I had other tasks to handle so I left them in the home and came back an hour later. Upon my return, Mr. Chappell started walking me through the home (in a rushing manner), directing me to give the okay for each room. I informed him that I saw dust in several places as well as the floors not completely vacuumed. After he walked away from me, I had time to review the cleaning more thoroughly to discover that there were several areas their team had missed. When I informed him of the continuous issues I kept discovering, he told me that I cannot go back and say something needs to be corrected after I've already given the okay. I politely informed him that he was not going to tell me what I couldn't do in my home and that I would not have had to request better cleaning if his team had done it properly in the first place. Words were exchanged and his team corrected the problems but by this time I was frustrated and ready for them to leave my home. He subsequently called me and I thought it was to apologize for his tone and the inadequate cleaning services they had offered. BUT NOPE. He called me to tell me that he wanted to up-charge me $50 for cleaning my EMPTY refrigerator since it wasn't on my already $500 cleaning bill. At this point, I requested to speak with his wife, the other co-owner, who I had previous correspondence with. I explained the issue to her and she agreed to waive the refrigerator cleaning fee and give $40 off. I was exhausted by the whole situation and ready to just be done. To add insult to injury, I had an exterminator come in the same day and I told him about the cleaning service. He looked around and said the home didn't look thoroughly cleaned and it didn't even smell like any cleaning products. I would have left the situation alone if I didn't have to bring a friend in subsequently to help me actually wipe the inside and outside of my cabinets, thoroughly clean the bathrooms him and his team were suppose to clean, and numerous other cleaning tasks that should've been covered by their services. After speaking to several people about the situation, everyone told me it was important that I wrote this review because I would have done things differently myself had I known this level of service would be provided. Talk about a making a moving process more stressful and $450+ wasted. My hope isn't to scare people from using this service but for them to understand the impact they had on my moving process. I ended up pushing my move-in date back a week because I had to find time to actually clean up behind them.

When my husband made the appointment, he specified a 'move out' cleaning, and I personally stressed to the crew the windows, baseboards needed extra attention. I took for granted that when they arrived, they would know what they were supposed to clean, but in actuality, they diid not. It seemed they did a cursory wipe down of surfaces, most cabinets, and then mopped the bedroom and living room floors. The blinds were cleaned, but not all the windows. We still found dirty/dusty areas in the bathrooms and closets, and certaIn cabinet doors weren't even touched. They also didn't touch the kitchen floor, the stove, or the fridge. My husband reached out to the owner, Phil H via email, regarding the lack of attention to detail. Phil thanked my husband for emailing and not leaving a bad review, and assured my husband the work done by the team would be of no charge to us. BUT, we were still charged $351 - without any warning or further discussion with Phil. Another email was sent to Phil inquiring about this charge. Phil stated that the charge is just based on hours worked and the charge would have been higher had the crew stayed longer and been more attentive to the cleaning. Since the team was not attentive, we will be given a $25 credit. **If anyone requires the emails for proof, I'll gladly post them on Yelp.

I showed a specific area under a scale and on a desk left untouched. The second visit, I hoped would be improved. At eye level, everything looked clean. I looked under the scale we had talked about...dust remained. The floors were washed as expected, except nothing was touched that wouldn't be extraordinarily obvious. The outside of my staircase railing, the space under clocks, desks, lower window sills, cobwebs on legs of furniture, etc. we're left untouched. The price tag, approximately $80 to $90 per hour. Don't fall for the "house price", get an hourly rate for cleaning. Photos are a few examples of what was left behind. I have many more. On the bright side, Rosy did offer to return and make things right, but I took a pass. I would prefer a company that cleaned properly the first time and didn't need instructions.

Sorry...but my experience was much different than the other reviews. Maybe it was just the crew I got but they left a LOT to be desired (and cleaned !!) They arrived on-time and I showed them around at what I wanted to have done. I specifically told them that there had been some renovation work done in my condo and I wanted a very good dusting of everything because I had guests coming to stay with me. Because I wanted the place to be really clean, I paid extra for the "deep cleaning" and the "move in / move out"...which according to their website would have them "pay more attention to details (make your home look brand new)".......I seem to remember my place looking much differently when I moved in ! I wanted to stay out of their way so I went out and ran some errands. When I returned about 90 minutes later they said they were just finishing up. One of the ladies walked me around a few places and showed me the work she had done (primarily in the living room and back bedroom). I could also tell they had cleaned the kitchen area and stove. What I saw looked fine and I made the mistake of assuming that the rest of the place had received the same amount of attention...boy was I wrong. Apparently the lady showed me the only places they did pay any attention to. After they left I found many places that had not been dusted at all (primarily picture frames on walls and objects that were on shelves). What really got to me was that I also found several areas where they had basically wiped down the front "easy to reach" places on shelves but made absolutely no effort to pick up items and dust under them, or even dust between items....just a quick swipe along the front of the shelf and that was it. I also found the guest bathroom mirror was wiped down, but that streaks remained all over the mirror (almost like they had used dirty water or something to clean it). In addition, the master bath shower door looked like had been sprayed with some kind of cleaning solution but no effort had been made to clean it off of the parts of the door that were close to the floor. One whole corner of the master bedroom wasn't touched. Admittedly I had 5 or 6 rolled up posters in the corner and I did not move them out of the way. I guess I just expected that they would be moved by the crew.....but there were no instructions or guidelines provided to me prior to the crew getting there that I needed to move any objects that were in the way of areas I would like to have cleaned. Yes...I can be faulted for not looking at everything in fine detail before the cleaning crew left. I made the bad assumption that my whole place was cleaned as well as the areas I was specifically shown. Lesson learned.
