Here is my experience with Magic Rain Gutters. I called for a quote and Alfredo came out the next day. He gave us a price which was by far much less than the other three companies I got quotes from. Alfredo told me that he is really busy and doesn't have a huge crew (usually just him) so it would be a couple weeks. After two weeks, I called his cell phone and his mailbox was full so I sent him a text. After a few days, I heard back. It tool about 4 weeks from the time of the bid to actual install. PROS: Their price was hundreds less than other places; once they arrived, it only tool about 2 hours to put gutters on the back of our house and two sides of a detached garage; the gutters look great - very high quality workmanship; Alfredo verbally offered a lifetime warranty. I wanted to have rain gutters installed before landscaping work proceeded, a project planned several weeks from the day I called MRG. To my surprise, I received a reply to my phone message within an hour. An even bigger surprise came when I was told that the owner could come by to produce an estimate the next day, which he did right at the appointed time. One more pleasant surprise arrived when they informed me the work would be done a mere two days later. They showed up on time and installed the gutters within an hour and a half. The color matches the house perfectly, and the quality of the work is outstanding, a fact confirmed by the foreman for the development in which the house is located. (He also told me that the the developer would have charged me twice the price that MRG charged.) I don't know how this outfit got almost 30 five star reviews. They must only post the good ones. Magic recently installed gutters on my daughters home and the gutters look good themselves, but the way they install the downspout outlets is not so good. Instead of cutting a whole in the gutter with a hole saw, they just cut a "cross" in the gutter and then bend down the points of the cut into the downspout. These leak and will eventually get worse. I recently had my home guttered and of the four companies that gave me bids, none install downspouts like Magic. They all use a hole saw and then install a "pop outlet" that will not leak. After inspecting Magic's installation on my daughters home, I didn't even call Magic for an estimate. My daughter had a problem with one of the downspouts and called Magic for a follow-up, which she was willing to pay extra for, and after several calls, Magic has not bothered to respond. I consider that poor customer service. read more

We had an emergency situation where our gutter was flying apart in very high winds and about to rip off the corner seam. After calling 7 contractors, leaving messages getting a couple people telling me that it would be a couple weeks to just get an estimate I was thrilled when Ashley called back within an hour to set up an appointment for the next morning with Alfredo to do an estimate. Alfredo showed up a half an hour early, quoted me a fair price, said he'd check with his crew on that day's schedule. Two hours later the gutter was repaired. The crew also noticed another flaw in the front gutter that had never been completely secured, so they repaired it at the same time with no extra charge. I called Alfredo about taking down my existing gutters because I thought the fascia board behind them needed to repaired or replaced before I had the house painted. Alfredo came all the way out to Spanish Springs and examined the gutters and fascia. He told me, "I could take your money, but from what I see everything is looks good, the fascia is still solid." I needed seamless aluminum gutters on my house. Alfredo was super responsive, came out and quoted me a dollar figure on his business card. Gave me a 2 week advance wait time. Called him a week later to hire, left a message. No response. Waited 3 days, and called again, this time the mailbox was full. Waited another few days, called again. Alfredo answered, vaguely remembered me, said he couldn't give me an install date - "dependent on the weather", but he would send me a written quote via email, and give me a few days notice when he would be able to come in the next couple of weeks. Sent him an email a few days later, no response. It's now been 3 weeks now, no response. I can assume all kinds of things, but I chased this guy with my business, and he basically decided not to do the work so my biggest assumption is that I wasn't going to spend enough money. Looks like they are doing other services based on the reviews I see on here, so he's still working. Must have just been me he didn't want to work for. Would have been nice just to have him say he wasn't interested and saved us both wasted time and my effort. read more

I live in a 2 story house and was in the market to get full-house seamless gutters installed for a good price. I am the type that will get multiple quotes, read countless reviews, ponder on it for a while, and choose the best bang for the buck. I had gotten 2 quotes before getting Alfredo, the owner of magic, to make me up one as well. All 3 companies quoted half the 2nd floor and the full 1st floor, because the top roof will drain onto the lower roof and drain from those gutters. I got the quote from Magic, pondered about a week over everyone's offers, read all kinds of reviews on Yelp for all 3, and called Alfredo on a friday. His wife answered, and I told her that I wanted the project. Alfredo called back that day. While on the phone with Alfredo I asked if he could add on the complete 2nd floor roof to the project, and he said "I sure can, just let me measure the rest and order the material and we will finish the project on Monday." The price was still cheaper than the next closest company without the complete 2nd floor add-on!! Magic Rain Gutters is by far the best deal for your budget. But don't let the best deal fool you. The quality of workmanship is by far more than I was hoping it would be. They are beautiful. Good job Magic!! Would definately recommend this company for your gutter needs. With all the houses being thrown up in the Reno area, it is good to know not all great companies are weeks out from completing jobs. Use them if you want gutter. I strongly recommend Magic Rain Gutters. After contacting 3 other gutter companies who were unimpressive, I read reviews on Magic. I contacted Ashley who scheduled the estimate. Alfredo came out punctually and provided a very fair estimate and some creative ideas for some problem areas. I was scheduled for installation in 2-3 weeks based on weather.
