Above and beyond the call of service! Gutters were the last on our list as we remodeled our home. Perry was recommended by our roofer, Crummett Construction who also did an awesome job. Referrals should not be given lightly, as they are also a reflection of the one referring. In this case, Cody did us a solid. Perry came out within a few days of my call and gave me an estimate on the spot, which was very competitive. After reading a number of reviews on line, we decided to go with Mr. Gutter. As we were not in a hurry, we scheduled out about 4 weeks. In the meantime, we narrowed our color choices, based on the sample sheet he left with us. We called the office and they promptly dropped off actual samples of the material for us to match against our house. We confirmed the color with the office and were scheduled. The day before the install, we got a call from his wife, stating that Perry had a heart attack...never a good thing. She apologized...I said there was no need, health is way more important than my install. She said she would get back to me when Perry was back on his feet. Well, 3 days later we get a call back saying that he was back at it and could do our install on Sunday. On a Sunday! What contractor does that? I was more concerned about his health, but she said he was fine. Low and behold, 8am Sunday morning, Perry and his 2 man crew were at the house ready to go. We chatted a little bit about his condition, he looked fine and commenced with the job. Without question, Perry and his crew were professional, answered my questions and asked me about drainage placement around the house. They were quiet, efficient and left the place spotless. The gutters are a perfect match to our trim and have already proved themselves with the recent rain. Hopefully they perform well in the winter! A great job done on time and on the money. read more

We contacted Mr. Gutter on Monday to check our gutter that broke off. He was out on Tuesday. Advised we needed a new roof. Sent over the quote that day. We had the roof replaced and Mr. Gutter was out the following Friday. Completed the new gutters in a few hours. The price was perfect, Peri was available for any questions. It is rare that I write negative reviews, but people need to know about this. I am here to corroborate other Yelpers who have pointed out the poor treatment they have received from this business. Mr. Gutter was contracted to fix a property overlooking mine. I was not aware and thus was rudely notified when one of their heavy-set men slammed a ladder on the front of my home (with no notice) and began walking around on my roof to access the other property. I asked this individual what he was doing. After ignoring me initially, he responded by yelling "I'm working!" All he needed to say was "We are fixing the property above yours. Sorry for the trouble." That's it. I would not be here otherwise. I went out to ask him what I did to him, thinking maybe I offended him somehow. He responded with more hostilities, telling me "mind your own business." I think the roof of my home counts, but I'm no expert. I asked for his supervisor. This person said he was both the supervisor and the owner and that he doesn't answer to me. I asked if he thought this was an appropriate way to conduct himself. His exact words were "What, do you want me to stand in front of you and beat the shit out of you?" When I asked if he was threatening me, he denied it. Two other men were with him. One of them was fairly apologetic, stating that this behavior was common. When I took a couple pictures for documentation purposes, the man in question yelled down more insults from my roof, calling me "a strange dude" and "one weird cat" and repeatedly telling me to mind my own business. It is my opinion that this man, if he is indeed Perri Adams and the owner of Mr. Gutter, needs to learn a hard lesson about public relations and market forces. Maybe the guy was having a bad day. Maybe he was just in a bad mood. Whatever it is, his lack of ability to conduct himself in a professional manner negates any quality services he may offer. I sincerely hope that Mr. Adams (if that was indeed who I dealt with) will learn why his poor attitude and hostility does not pay. It would not surprise me to learn that this man has an arrest record or anger management issues. If the person I dealt with was not Mr. Adams, I hope he is terminated. Either way, he needs an attitude adjustment, hopefully before he addresses the wrong person with it. This is one of those situations where, given what I know now about this business, I would gladly pay a competitor more just to avoid having to deal with this sort of behavior. The bar for professionalism isn't set terribly high -- it takes a special sort of arrogance and hostility to miss it entirely. read more

I used this company for gutter work on the old house last year. Perri was easy to schedule an appointment with to come see what the house needed. He was on time, if not just a little early, and he spent some time making sure if the area and color that was to be done. I scheduled an install time right then. My job was pretty small, just one side of the house on the second floor needed a gutter system, so Perri had a small crew on the install. It didn't take them much time at all and there was no mess when they left. I was pleased with the color match and the price was very fair. I didn't see the need to even check out any competitors. I wish my current HOA would use him for a gutter system on my new place. read more

I got prices from 4 gutter installation companies. Mr. Gutter and Magic Gutters were priced the lowest. Mr. Gutter was the only company who could fit me into their schedule right away (within a week). The rest were booked out long-term, over a month out. THINGS TO KNOW: 1) He uses a service to answer calls, so the people who answer are basically relaying your message to him. NO WORRIES... he returns calls right away and is GREAT to work with! 2) His crew arrived on time, they were clean & respectful, and they completed our small gutter install in about an hour. And, the gutters look very nice. 3) I waited a few months to write my review to be sure my gutters held up. So far, so good. No leaks! I highly recommend Mr. Gutter for fast response, and quality workmanship. I also recommend Magic Gutters, who we have previously used, but they are booked out further. Mr. Gutter installed new seamless rain gutters on our house a few weeks ago. Perri was courteous and professional; he explained the work involved, he answered questions, he patiently went through color options and made sure we were happy with our choice. When installation day arrived Perri got to our house early and went to work immediately. The gutters were installed in about 2 1/2 hours. We hired Mr. Gutter to clean the gutters in our townhome complex. They took their time in coming, but that's understandable considering how busy they likely are. What was unacceptable, however, was the poor quality of their work. We wanted our gutters cleaned, washed out and tested to make sure they all drained properly. The only thing they did was have one guy with an air blower climb up on the roof and blow out the gutters. They didn't bother to wash out the gutters or test to see if any were clogged. Worse, I'm not convinced they even did the upper level gutters we have here. All in all, just an utter waste of money. Thank god it doesn't rain much in Reno. read more

I just finished cleaning my gutters and was reminded once again of the horrible full house new installation that this vendor did and we paid several thousands for. The gutters do not drain properly and water pools in the middle. I was also painfully reminded that the person they sent out when I asked them to fix the problems screamed at us and left the problems as they were when he was unable to find an easy way to fix them. Yelled at us! We have already removed sections of the work that was causing damage and are considering removing more. Please, avoid these guys at all costs. Some homeowners may be tempted, but it will be the worst mistake you ever make. The occasional good review means nothing if you are going to be yelled at and will be left with a problem that will stay with you year after year. read more

Mr. Gutter installed gutters on our home when we did a remodel in late 2013. He was hired by contractor, so I had not interaction with him at the time. One of our gutters came loose during this past major winter. I called Mr. Gutter to schedule a time when he could come and rehang the gutter. I made it clear that I did not expect this to be done for free and I would pay for this work and that he could schedule this at a time convenient for him when he would be in our area. We set a day and time, but he never showed up and never called. After repeated calls over about a 2 month period to schedule this work, I gave up and hired a local handyman to fix the gutter. I am making no statement about the quality of work, but the way he treats past customers is pathetic. Don't expect to hear from him after he has done the work and has been paid. read more

These guys are terrible not only about their quality of work but their customer service skills. I had a simple 4 ft. Rain gutter replaced which was a very simple job that should've been done exactly like the rest of the original piece. FIRST IMPRESSION - Not only did these idiots not leave me an invoice after they completed the job, but they didn't even notify when they were coming. I was not going to pay them as the work was not of satisfaction. They also kept saying they sent me invoices but I never received them. I however did finally decide to pay them but not happily WORK QUALITY- The new piece of the gutter they replaced did not match the rest of the gutter and was too long also. It over hung by 4 inches. The rivets or screws they used also did not match all the rest of the gutter screws. There was also a new bend in the new piece they installed probably from them banging it in to make it fit. I ended up paying a better more reliable company to replace the gutter and it now looks just like the rest of the original gutter. CONCLUSION - All in all this is a bad low quality group of people who make this business. They sound like they run the place out of a trailer park or something. Perry at Mr. Gutter is the best. He provides the best product and the best, courteous customer service that I have experienced. His prices are reasonable and he is always willing to stop by if necessary. He goes out of his way to service his clients. One time my gutters were overflowing due to my own negligence of not cleaning out leaves. Perry came over and cleaned my gutters for me. Recently 2 trucks pulled in my driveway, Perry stepped out and said he was in the neighborhood. He and his crew of 4 cleaned and serviced my gutters. This company is terrible, including Perry. I was promised a gutter quote twice, both times a no call, no show. Tried getting call backs to no avail. Finally when I spoke to him, he advised me that "he's just not interested in doing work in my neighborhood." Why did he FALSELY promise quotes several times when he had no intention of following through? I would never recommend this treatment or terrible customer service to anyone. Has a bad attitude and needs to understand customer service is what helps your company grow. I used this company and the main reason I say they are rude is because they don't understand what customer service is it all started with rudeness and loud voices. What a professional crew! On time, pleasant, efficient, knew what they were doing and within moments had determined the proper installation for my unique job. I could not be happier. My daughter has already set up an appointment to get her house done. Totally impressive. It looks beautiful and when they'd departed, you'd never have known they were here.
