They have tons of colors to Choose from and are very affordable (for the most part) Its $28 for a full set of acrylics with regular polish. I picked out my nail color and asked the lady to paint them in regular polish because I simply can't afford the fancy gel polish. She obviously didn't care what I wanted and gave me gel polish anyways without telling me she was. Second, after asking me the shape I want and the length and doing it she then tells me that she's charging me for shape and length. When obviously it's to late to change my mind because she already shaped and cut. If she would have told me before it wouldn't have been a problem. So instead of paying $28 for acrylics WITH REGULAR POLISH. I payed $50 for gel acrylics. If you want to get your nails done here they charge $5 for shape and $5 for length, thought you should know before they surprise you. My nails are cute but not $50 worth cute. read more

Negative stars. Not only was my pedicure yesterday terrible but they STOLE my money. My total was 85$ for a mani/pedi. Tipped them in cash 17$. After I look at my bank account today I was charged 102$. They added a tip for exactly 17$ on my receipt which I left blank! They really think I'm stupid & wouldn't remember tipping them in cash, which I do because it benefits them! Lesson learned cross out the tip section so they can't fill it in themselves. Now as far as nail salons go - it does smell of acrylic, it's not very intimate, and your nail tech will at some point be on the phone. If that's not for you - shush and go pay for that intimacy. Terrible and unsanitary!!! I have had two very bad experiences here. Here is the worst one: I was getting a pedicure, and a woman was sitting next to me. They decided to start on her manicure while she was getting her pedicure, and started scraping off her old polish... which involved them getting HER OLD POLISH AND NAIL SCRAPINGS ALL OVER ME. A thick pile of disgusting shavings all over my pants and sweater. I almost vomited, and told them this was nasty and unsanitary. They stopped scraping her nails once I showed them the nail shavings all over me, but looked at me like I was crazy for caring. They have no regard for hygiene or customer service here. Their tools look dirty, they don't line the buckets before you soak your feet... Go to Spa Nails across the street. At least they are sanitary and have good customer service. read more

I called ahead to ask how much for a full set. They told me $25. I went in to get my set, the girl put the tips on and was about to put on the acrylic when she then decided it was going to be $25 more because the tips were pointed. They were not longer than any square nails would be (so no extra acrylic needed) and no more difficult than square tips. I wasn't as annoyed by the fact that they wanted to changer more as I was by the fact that they waited to tell me until they thought I could not back out. She knew what I wanted before I sat down. I didn't even want to give this place one star, but I was unsure on how to give a review without doing so. Where do I start? I sat down with San to get a pedicure and before San started he didn't ask if I wanted my pedicure cut short or if I wanted to keep my length and just clean them up. Instead San cut my toenail at a slant and proceeded to file it in that direction. Being the person that I am I tried to give him a chance to fix it and his fix was far from acceptable. Next I moved over to get my manicure. I told San I wanted a square round shape and he started filing away and then said "I'm doing them round it's the new style". I was frustrated because the filing he started couldn't be undone. Next San tried putting polish on my unbuffed nails. At that point I stopped him and told him I would finish it myself. When I expressed my concerns about my nails to the manager instead of him offering to fix my nails or even to give me my money back he decided to pick up his phone and begin a phone call in my face to clearly show that he wasn't going to talk to me. This was my second visit to this nail shop my first experience was ok but not good I decided to give them another try. I'm glad I did. My first trip I had my acrylic on for 9 weeks went in and they did not remove old lifting product just drilled filled glued and painted that was it. I was just thankful to get them done even though the product was put on thin. My second trip 2 weeks later I got Han I had two nails that were on the verge of fungus because of old product and water got to them. And one broken nail. I absolutely loved Han he understood that nail heath was most important to me. He is very very good pays attention to detail was very gentle and treated me very nice. He took off all the old product and made sure the shape was perfect also he made sure I was happy throughout the whole process and still had me out of my chair within a hour. Using all clean tools and new files. I've had my nails done for 27 years and I'm telling you that Han is awesome at what he does and it shows I defiantly will recommend my friends to him and I'll be back. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm not the foo-foo type. I don't wear fake nails, I rarely wear nail polish, I avoid fancy hairdos and wear little if any make up. But I really like to get a mani-pedi on a regular basis because I'm prone to develop large callouses on my feet and this is by far the best way to keep them under control. Almost a year ago I injured my big toenail and stopped going for my regular pedicures because the toenail was painful and in bad shape. I suppose I could have gone to the podiatrist, but I really dislike making unnecessary appointments because life is full of surprises and I avoid getting pinned down as much as I can, unless it's for a fun thing! Finally, all these months later, with my toenail nearly grown back, and my callouses threatening to become Hooves, I returned to my neighborhood mani/pedi place, Magic Nails. Walk-ins constitute the lion's share of their business, though I believe you can make an appointment as well. Owned and operated exclusively by those from the far East, of the three places in town I've tried for pedicures, this is the only one that gives a full service pedicure. And the prices are really good. For a mani-pedi combo, just $38. I went at 5:30 this afternoon, they close at 7PM. The girl who did my pedi followed by my mani was barely more than child sized (her name is Mai), and I was concerned that she wouldn't remove my callouses properly. I needn't have been. I am blushing when I admit that it took three razor blades using her special decallouser device that looks like a mini-cheese slicer, and I'm sorry to gross you out dear reader, but the towel she placed under my feet was littered with callous bits! I estimate a small cereal bowl's worth. She pays minute attention to each and every toe nail as well, trimming the excess skin around each nail and buffing the nail with a sander until the surface is the perfectly flat and and shines. I got a wonderful foot massage (I'd forgotten how well they do this), and then she applied clear polish which is generally all I use. She spent 75 minutes attending to my neglected feet, and they feel wonderful. My fingernails and hands were much easier to do. Now that a few hours have passed, I examined my fingers closely and am disappointed that she didn't trim enough of the dead skin surrounding my fingernails, nor did she thoroughly clean under the nails. Perhaps she was tired? She only worked on my hands for 20 minutes including applying the clear polish. I will give her this bit of air. It was only 5 minutes to closing time when she finished. The big bonus was that she allowed me to remain in the pedicure chair which vibrates and provides a relaxing back massage at the intensity of your choice. Once I realized that Mai knew precisely what she was doing, I closed my eyes and reclined the chair, drifting into a day dreamy state while she pampered me and restored my feet and hands to a well-groomed state. I tipped her $12 making the bill an even $50. BTW, men are welcome and it's my observation that many men could use a pedicure every now and then! read more

After being disappointed at the first place I went too to get my acrylics filled I was remarkably surprised how much better my experience was here @ Magic Nails. Ken my nail tech listened to what I wanted and filled my nails beautifully. They are nice and thin just the way I like them. He did remark that the last place I went to he felt that they weren't professionals in doing my nails. Ken also felt my nails were too thick and chunky. Service was fast and friendly. He did both mine and mother's fills in no time. My mother even liked the way they did her nails and she definitely is not a frilly kind of person. This was her first acrylic fill and she was much more satisfied on how her nails turned out then when they were originally first put on. She and I went to the same place for her first for full set of acrylics and my fills. It's a bit of a drive for me since I live out in Spanish Springs but it was definitely worth it. Store was clean and not overly busy and/or crowded. They do take some walk ins but when they were busy they were kind of to tell the walk ins how long their wait would be and if they wanted to come back. I definitely recommend making an appointment to guarantee your spot. Our wait time was only 10-15 minutes. It was on a Saturday afternoon so my mother and I didn't have anywhere else to go that day so we didn't mind the wait. Prices I felt were reasonable. Not overly priced or ridiculous. This is not some kind of frilly so if you're expecting a spa this is not a the place. This is a nice place where they get the job done. We will definitely be back! =) read more

Normally I wouldn't review a nail salon until at least 2 weeks after my gel manicure to see how it turned out- aka if it chipped early on or if it lasted really well but in this case I was so unhappy with my experience that it honestly doesn't matter if they last forever- I still am unlikely to return. To start- it's so frustrating to write a poor review when I really, really wanted to like this place and was also looking forward to going here because of the other positive reviews. This is not my normal nail salon- my normal woman was out of town and my nails were chipping like crazy so I had to go somewhere. They open at 10am on Sunday and were close to my house so they became the obvious first choice after I read the other reviews here. When I arrived there were about 5 workers in the salon serving roughly 5 people and I was surprised but happy to see that it was busy so early to their opening time. (I was not able to make an appointment because I only decided I was going to go at 9:30am that morning before they were open.) I walked in, the man who seemed to be in charge told me to pick a color and then I waited. I waited about 10 minutes before he noticed that I was wearing gel polish and we should probably start getting that off now because it takes awhile. We did the "dip" method as I call it - I dipped my fingers in Acetone remover for about 10 minutes, then he drilled off the top layer, then I dipped again. Total dipping time was over 30 minutes, which is long for removing gel. If you do the individual tinfoil finger wrap it only takes about 15 minutes. Anyway, then someone was able to start working on me. This area of the service was fine at the time, but by the time she was done I noticed that one hand looked very different from the other - one of my hands the nails were very, very short and the skin where my nail should be showed and on my other hand my nails were short but not as short and the nails covered the area they are supposed to. This is a bit frustrating. Finally it's time for paint- most of this goes normally however this salon only did 2 coats of gel color- every other salon I've been to has done 3. I feel like my color would have been more rich and long lasting if they had done 3 layers. I didn't ask for another layer because I had to go, but still am frustrated they didn't just do it. Finally, what frustrated me the most was after he was done with my nails he was filing the edges and doing it really rough. It hurt on most of my fingers but when he got to my pinky finger I literally yelped from pain- and I looked down and it was bleeding. He said "oh no" and got some GLUE- without even asking me. I tried to ask what he was doing but before I could stop him he had put nail glue to seal my cut. I was not happy he did that without asking me. When it was time to checkout he assumed that I knew how much this was going to cost and wanted to take my card. I had to take the initiative to ask him how much and then let him process my payment. During this, he walked away and I was left thinking.... "so are we done here?" I didn't have my receipt so I called to him and he turned around and gave it to me. Overall, I was disappointed in my visit for many reasons and am not likely to go back. I'm not sure if my experience was common or one of a million but I sincerely wish it had been better. read more

The woman doing my nails was very rude and took forever, I tried to be as patient as I possibly could but after the fourth time she hurt me I couldn't take it anymore. The girl who did my eyebrows and lip was just WONDERFUL (wish I had caught her name). She cleansed the areas to be waxed, baby powdered, waxed, plucked, clipped, and cooled it all down with a soothing aloe gel. As far as the job done here, I can't say a bad word. I've never walked out with a set of nails I didn't like. They always look very nice, not too thick on the acrylic (which is my biggest pet peeve). Usually have a problem with early breakage, but that is typically caused by my nail-biting so it's nothing to complain about for me. However, the customer service is ENTIRELY dependent on the nail tech you have! The first two times I've gone in, I had guys that were super nice & understanding about my damaged nail beds. However, I went yesterday for a fill and just felt so disrespected. I had some VERY LIGHT tye-dye stains on my fingers (literally scrubbed my hands for at least 30 minutes before coming in) and she scoffed and called me dirty. Even after explaining the stains, she gave me dirty looks the whole time she did my nails. I tried to tell her at the beginning that two of the nails had fallen off & replaced with super glue so they may need to be replaced entirely. Completely ignored me, & lo & behold, while sanding off the polish, my thumb nail popped off and hit her in the forehead!! As well, she asked me on about 8 different occasions what color I wanted, and kept handing me color pallets, but would get frustrated if I moved at all while flipping through them. And then, when I decides & told her, she ignored me and yet kept asking! And had ANOTHER nail tech come over ask me the color I wanted... and I was ignored AGAIN! It's like... why are you asking if you're not even going to listen? Just wait til it's time to put the damn polish on!!! However, despite the service I received yesterday, I still walked out with really pretty nails at a decent price. I would recommend this place for the fact that they do great work. However, if you're big on customer service like myself, just don't even bother. There's no guarantee you'll be getting anything worthwhile. read more
