I was driving in my community and notice a place that was sorta hidden due their dark sign above the establishment called Maggie's. There's limited of parking shared by other businesses but manageable. As you walked in, only 5 tables, it's clean, a refrigerated beverage cooler, and a menu on the left written in chalk. The menu has a variety of sandwiches, paninis, salads, soups and desserts. I ordered 3 items: The Nat, The Hayscale and dessert. All of the items were given in either a to-go paper or containers. The Nat was a jumbo hot dog place in a lobster roll with ketchup, mustard, relish and slice red onions. Even though this item was simple, it was delicious. You only had two choices for their desserts which were chocolate chip cookie with chocolate ice cream and a brownie with vanilla ice cream, they were both sandwiches. I chose the brownie which was soft on the outside and smooth on the inside. It was delicious. Unfortunately the least favorite item was the hayscale which was a sandwich filled with pastrami, Russian dressing, slaw, Swiss cheese on marble rye. The Swiss cheese and pastrami were very dry and there wasn't enough dressing, I had to wash it down with water. I was looking forward to the pastrami but it wasn't your typical fresh layer slice cut but rather like deli meat that you can buy in regular grocery stores. I wasn't able to see anyone else working in the kitchen but only saw a one make name Van. He was friendly, patient and knowledgeable. They also have another location in downtown Fred'burg on 820 Caroline St. I would make another visit just to try their hot items on their menu. read more
