Almost $43 for two bowls and two drinks seems a bit steep for lunch but everything is high these days. At least the food is fresh and tasty. The Harissa Chicken bowl and the spicy lamb avocado bowl were both good and you can customize them if you don't want something that they come with. The people working here are all very nice and friendly and the place was very clean so they obviously work hard to keep it clean. The number of parking spaces is not enough and if you enter from Central Park blvd and miss a spot you will not be able to back up which I learned the hard way. read more

The portion of protein was tiny, maybe 5% of the bowl, and the toppings weren't much better. I have eaten at Cava in Stafford a few times with positive results so I decided to try my local one in Fredericksburg. I'm not impressed and for spending almost $60.00 I doubt if I will return. It's serves like a Chipotle style restaurant. Very busy spot with outdoor seating. For casual fast food Mexican cuisine it works just fine. I have been looking forward to trying this place since I knew I was coming out here for a trip. I got half and half lamb and chicken but only got lamb unfortunately. The lamb was way too sweet for my liking. But I LOVED the garlic dip and the pita chips. I wished the side pita was a bit bigger. The toppings were okay but in a weird ratio and the lettuce was a little wilted. I ordered via Uber so not sure on service or ambiance of the restaurant. Absolutely love the flavors that Cava offers. Fresh ingredients, tasty drinks. The location itself can be a bit tricky since it's on the corner of a busy intersection, but enjoy that it has a drive through for orders placed online or via the app. There was a lamb bowl offered this summer that was wonderful with what came in it. I like that you can also create your own and make whatever you'd like from available ingredients. You can get a free small fresh pita with your order. Went here for the first time and was not disappointed! I had the grain bowl with the spicy lamb balls & chicken, yes I'm greedy! With the other additions and the Tahiti sauce was delicious. Now for the famous Pita chips, that is a must have. I could eat those anytime. Great Mediterranean bowl idea! Cava, I see you!! A location like no other, well no other I have seen so far. A two story location with a total vibe is what you get when you arrive at this location. A trip inside is necessary however for those on a time crunch you can order in the app and roll up to the Drive Thru, yes a Drive Thru just for digital order pick ups only. Once inside, the main event is all downstairs where you can craft your own bowl and get the drink of your choosing. On this visit I went with a grains and greens bowl. A base layer of Supergreens, with lentils and that Basmati rice (that I cannot get enough of) and then chicken for my protein and all the toppings, yes all of them topped with a drizzle of that yogurt based dressing!!! All the ingredients were fresh and those that were low where rapidly being refilled. The portion sizes are generous too as they were not too skimpy on the scoops, if ya know what I mean :) Always in the mood for their drinks, I went with the Pineapple Mint Apple, still as refreshing as I recall from my first sip ever. It something about it that sticks with me so it will be my drink of choice until they rotate the flavor out. I do like the new water bottles too offering still and sparkling choices. Location can be a little wonky to access as the parking lot is tiny but turns over quickly with a little patience. Staff was friendly from start to finish and the inside was well maintained. During the warmer months you can dine al fresco as they have a good size patio as well. I am happy to see this location in the burg!!! read more

I love this place. If you like Mediterranean-style food that is customized (like an unnamed restaurant whose name rhymes with Whip-oat-lay), then you need to check out Cava. The food is fresh, flavorful, tasty, and made-to-order. My go-to here is the customized salad with chicken. The portion size is large, and there are a ton of choices to add to the bowl. I love that there are six different options for the type of greens. My only complaint is that the tables are rarely clean when I come here. In fact, an employee just pushed in chairs at tables near me but did not clean the obviously dirty tables. I wish there were a Cava location closer to my home. This is a Chipotle style Mediterranean restaurant with a lot of healthy choices for the conscientious diner. I've been to a CAVA in the Ashburn area before, but it's been awhile. I was happy to see that there was now one available in Fredericksburg. The food was fresh. Service could be improved. As I said, it's been awhile, and it would have been helpful if someone explained the process to me. The employee who made my order wasn't friendly at all! I ordered a mini grilled chicken pita with a jasmine iced tea. The pita was big enough for me, because I'm not a big eater, but for most, it might not have been enough. I wasn't a fan of the jasmine tea, but they have a fountain machine, so I ended up pouring it out and refiling with a black tea. The place is clean and of course, modern since it's a brand new eatery. It's simple with no frills, bells or whistles. Getting in and out of here is tricky since it's right on Plank Rd. and parking is limited. They do have a 'drive thru', but it's limited to online orders. Almost $8 for a mini pita and a small jasmine tea, so I would say that the prices are a bit high for the amount of food that you receive. read more

This CAVA by far is the worst. From unfriendly and unhappy employees to cheating you out of food you pay for. Attached is a screenshot of my order and a picture. I paid well over $18 for a bowl that I added extra proteins in and got less than a subpar bowl. The same goes for my other items. They forgot the free pitas. The best part - my mobile order was supposed to be ready at 8:30pm. I show up at the drive thru pickup window at 8:32pm. Waited...waited and waited until a associate showed up to only tell me I have to circle around because my order isn't ready and there is a car behind. Mind you there is a parking spot for pickup orders. Oh the best part besides them cheating me out of my food was I had to wait an additional 20 mins to get my order. read more

I came here after doing some shopping at the mall across the street and was wanting something fresh. I ended up making a half grain half greens bowl with their grilled chicken. I also added on pita chips, they were so delicious. Food was fresh, service was quick and friendly. I also enjoyed how clean the restaurant is. Yesterday my daughter ordered our dinner. I used to love the meatballs but not anymore. My bowl was half full and I requested extra meatballs. Not only did I not receive the proper portion, my food was charred beyond recognition. I wouldn't serve what they gave me to a dog. Since we ordered to the food to go I wasn't aware that my food looked like this until I arrived at my house. I attempted to call the location but they would not answer the phone and you cannot leave a voicemail because the mailbox is full. I work next door to Cava, so my co-workers and I frequent here. Today I ordered for my boyfriend and I, and they had accidentally forgotten the double meat in my boyfriends bowl. I walked over to try and get just a possible remake because he was very upset considering he paid extra for chicken. The male manager is ALWAYS there when I visit, and he is always working. I told him about my situation and he went through the line to remake the bowl and threw in some extras. I am very grateful for how the manager treats customers, and how enthusiastic he seems about his job. I have worked food service so I understand that forgetting items just happens sometimes, and the manager there has the ability to pick up someone's mood and make their day better. I had even apologized to him about the trouble and he said he was glad I brought it back. Cava is definitely one of my go-to places and will stay that way :) read more

Wow... I was pretty much sure that based on the last few trips to Cava (and after trying Mezeh, and enjoying it more), that I'd never return to Cava. But I decided to give this location a try recently and the food was exactly how I remembered it when I first started eating at Cava and really enjoyed it. My meal had all freshly-prepared food, unlike the last few times I'd eaten at various Cava's and portions of the bowl weren't fresh, making it a mediocre meal. And for their very high price, it needs to be 100% on point each time I go, or it's not worth the money. Customer service was also excellent at this location! Only reason for giving a 4 instead of 5 is their pricing... $15+ for a simple salad entrée and a drink is still too much, even with all the fresh ingredients. read more

Didn't know what to expect but tried this out based on a recommendation from a co-worker who described it like a Chipotle and it's for health conscious people. When I found out it was a Mediterranean spot I thought Mezeh for comparison. Well the food is good and I like they have a nutritional calculator in their mobile friendly website. The bad is while a lot of the ingredients are relatively low in fat, sodium content is crazy high in most of meats. I had the Pita grilled chicken, with hummus spread vice tzatziki (I have lactose issues), red cabbage, olives, tomato/cucumber and lemon spice hummus sauce. wife got the Pita w lamb, tzatziki, cous cous, and the same as me less the olive. I tasted hers and it was good. Mine tasted well, a little messy but I had a lot of sauce. Mezeh is superior as they have more both meat and add-ons options. Cava benefits greatly in this area because the nearest Mezeh is about an hour away. I will go back. Staff was friendly and efficient ala Chipotle. read more
