Mannnn ... I tell you, I am glad I walked through the doors of this establishment called Basilico located on Harrison Rd. It's located between Homemade and Mr. Tire. As I walked in, I was mesmerized by the decorations of Little Italy. There's a light blue and white vintage micro pick up truck parked in the front, to the left are display of variety of gelato, pastries, cakes; in the center is ordering station and to the right are self serve beverages and dining area throughout the building. Their menu has so many features from panini, sandwiches, pizzas, wraps, salads, soups and appetizers. Once you place your order, it's self seating and you will be given a number and the food will be walked to you or you can pick it up. I ordered 3 items: 1) Arancini 2) Eggplant and Tomato Panini 3) Bruschetta Pizza. The panini has eggplant, roasted tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and basil pesto sauce. I thought I ordered a panini but the fresh mozzarella wasn't even melted. The skin of the eggplant was very chewy, a little tough. and the whole sandwich had great flavor. The panini also came with one side which you have variety of selections but I chose their mac n cheese. I'm surprised that they use cavatappi instead of the proper pasta. The pasta didnt really coat or absorb the flavors but ran away. My eyebrows lifted when the meat, peas and potatoes arancini arrive to the table because I wasn't expecting for them to be bigger than normal. I wouldn't say they are appetizer size but more like entree style because it can feed up to two people with generous portions that lies on top of marinara sauce. It was delicious but very heavy. They offer 15 varieties of pizzas and I order their bruschetta pizza which was topped with fresh tomatoes, garlic, basil, olive oil, Parmesan cheese and drizzle with balsamic glaze. The pizza was amazing but the under carriage was too soft and not crispy for me. Before i left, I had to get some gelato: coconut and their peanut butter chocolate which both of them were simply amazing. I also purchased their limoncello cake and peach raspberry strudel. I was excited about the limoncello cake, one of my favorites but unfortunately it fell flat for me. I didn't taste any lemon flavors and the cake itself was very dense. On the other hand, the strudel was delicious. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, light music and offer outside seating. I had immaculate service from Joshua, Chyna, Kayla and other staff members, they had great team work, friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable. Came out to try out some of their stuff and was delighted. We ordered the cranberry turkey panini, breakfast croissant, tiramisu, cannoli and apple fritter. The staff was lovely too. panini was good real turkey, croissant was good, cannoli was a bit too much filling and the apple fritter was good. This has become a regular place for us whenever we crave a pizza because they make the best crust! The gnocchi and pastas are always cooked perfectly and their chicken is never overdone. The gelatos are so good that we've never tried any of the beautiful pastries in the dessert case but the cannolis are on my list. My cousin commented that this casual restaurant was well known around town and attested to their great Yelp reviews. The space is large. Plenty of tables and chairs; a big front counter/ordering area (I'm assuming during peak hours they can get pretty busy). When I visited, the brick strip plaza this is part of was obviously new(ish), so the inside looked clean; nice outdoor patio, too. I got a Garden Of Eating panini, added turkey, asked for it on a croissant instead of the default ciabatta. It was spectacular. The turkey and Brie cheese paired perfectly with the avocado, alfalfa sprouts and tomato. Their homemade basil pesto mayo was to die for. My trip to this place was back in the summer of 2021, so I'd like to think they still make their own bread fresh in-house, because the croissant was so soft and gently crisped from the panini press; incredible. The dessert selection here is stocked and ready to rumble. Big pieces of cheesecakes, creme brûlée, fruit tarts, and massive, I mean ginormous, eclairs (something like 7-8 inches long and 2 inches wide); also have gelato. Food was very good. Careful of the prices. You pay a base amount for a lot of dishes and then start paying a lot of normal add ons.

My wife wanted a grilled cheese and fries so I called and ordered 2 grilled cheese and fries to go pick up. They say 27 dollars and some change for that. I get there and look on their menu and if you get the same thing on the kids menu it is only five dollars for a grilled cheese and side. When I get home and open them, they give you a kids portion for the grilled cheese and fries charging you 15 dollars more for the same amount. I will not be getting ripped off like this again. The food is wonderful. We love their paninis. The service is also quite fast; you walk in, order at the register, sit, and within 15 minutes you typically have your food. It feels clean and classy. Where this place shines is with the sheer variety of their desserts. You get several options and many of them are good. While we have been here for the full Italian meal experience, this time we just went for dessert and coffee. They have a huge selection of cakes, cheesecakes, profiterole, and gelato! We have tried several of their extensive offering and haven't been disappointed. The limoncello cake is a light option, if you aren't looking for too much sweet. The chocolate mouse tuxedo cheesecake is ultimate decadence. The profiterole were excellent. However, the coffee left a bit to be desired. Our expresso cappuccinos were lack luster...very expensive, not much beverage, lukewarm, and took 30 minutes to be served. We'd definitely come here for dessert again, but skip the coffee until they can make improvements there! read more

You are greeted with a clean, bright open space so it is inviting. We had reservations for a small party. The staff worked fairly well delivering food and clearing plates. The food was nothing to get excited about. The Greek salad with chicken had fresh greens, tomatoes, feta and kalamata olives with sliced chicken on top. It tasted ok but it just wasn't anything special. The Turkey Cranberry panini was very bland. There was a smear of some type of cranberry but it was barely detectable. My car needed an oil change, so I took it to the Mr. Tire next door to Basilico. It made logical sense to walk over to check out the newish Italian fast-casual eatery/market during my wait. I walked in and the place was huge/bustling. Other folks were standing around looking at menus, so I walked up and grabbed one myself. I landed on the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant with a side of mac and cheese fairly easily, so I placed my order, took a number, and grabbed a seat at a two-top. It didn't take long at all for my food to arrive (on par with somewhere like Panera, to give you an idea). I was surprised when an associate stopped by to check on me a bit later also -- typically when I dine solo no one bothers to speak to me, so that was a super nice surprise. Prices were reasonable. Menu was expansive. You could definitely "create your own adventure" here. It's not crazy original food by any means, but it's good quality and nicely filling. Awful experience. Four people and we spent $116. Three pasta bowls starting at $10.50. My son added bacon and chicken and Alfredo sauce. 10.50 turned into $22.00. My daughter ordered pasta bowl with pesto, bacon and chicken. My husband ordered gluten free pasta, red sauce and sausage. The meat in the pasta was minimal. For the cost, the portions were small. My kids enjoyed the pasta but it wasn't anything special. I ordered a pizza and it was fine. The sauce was sweet but it was ok. The fountain Diet Pepsi was out. My son told someone as did my husband. 4/5. October 2018. Stopped here while visiting family in the area. Nice deli/pizzeria type place. I would say it leans more towards the deli than the pizza but I had a calzone which was excellent. They don't appear to offer full size pizzas but what they do offer is quite good. One slight issue is the Pepsi free style type machine. They have one and this tends to create a bit of a back up as they are quite busy and we stopped in on a Wednesday at lunch time. This isn't really a criticism of Basilico but the machines as it happens any place that has them because most people are slow using them. After wanting to find a spot to meet some friends, we decided to come here. The restaurant is large and spacious. Lots of tables and room to space out. Once ready to order, we went to the counter to place it. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara and my husband ordered a chicken pasta dish. We also ordered the meat and cheese board to snack on. My pasta was ok, the bacon that came in the pasta was flimsy and although it was cooked the texture reminded me of raw bacon. My husband did not care for his pasta and said it lacked flavor. I did enjoy the meat and cheese board, I loved the cheeses and meats. We also decided to order dessert after our meal. I ordered the hoho cake which was dry. It did have a whipped cream that I liked.
