Doc Rocco's (located in the shopping center near Lowes Southpoint and Kickback Jack's) -Atmosphere: Small, but clean and bright. Counter ordering, paper plates, plastic silverware, one single stall, gender neutral restroom. - Staff: Friendly and efficient. -Menu: Temporarily limited to Cheesesteaks, pizza, fries, and a few other items. Limited beverages (canned Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, and bottled water). My husband and I ordered a 7 in "loaded" Cheesesteak with onions, peppers, mushrooms, no mayo, and provolone instead of cheese wiz. We got it combo'd with a bottle of water and fries. We also ordered a 12 in pizza with pepperoni. We shared everything. Cheesesteak: Meat was plentiful and roll was so incredibly soft and delicious! Fries: Very plain and bland; needed salt. They were hot, but lacked flavor. Otherwise they were cooked enough and had a nice texture. But I wouldn't order again. Pizza: Crust, amount of cheese, flavor of cheese, the pepperoni...all perfect! My husband likes a nice layer of sauce, which it had. But I felt like (like the fries), it was missing some seasonings (maybe oregano or basil or fennel seasoning?) It definitely wasn't bad, but it was very tomatoey. It certainly wasn't enough to make it a bad pie, that's for sure! I will order it again, but with additional toppings. For the Pizza (which we have 4 slices leftover), a 7 in sub, a pretty nice size portion of French fries, and one bottle of water it was around $24. Overall impression, this place deserves some love! I cannot wait to go back and try a Cuban and order another pizza!

This is our first time here. I tried the steak and cheese sub with fries and my son got a veggie pizza with no cheese. The steak and cheese was very good, one of the better ones I've had in this area. The veggie pizza had a lot of toppings and had a lot of flavor. The staff was very friendly and enthusiastic at taking my order and serving it as well. We will definitely go back and try more.

    Cool interior.

First time here, and will definitely be returning. We ordered "The Doc" chicken sandwich as a combo (fries & a drink) to share ("12 inch). Great portion size, and everything was excellent. Looking forward to trying the pizza on our next visit. Friendly staff : )

I am ashamed to say this is my second visit to this jewel of a restaurant! The owner and the young lady who took our order were so nice. We ordered a ham sub, Philly cheesesteak, Italian sub, Parmesan fries and chicken salad. This is the best chicken salad in Fredericksburg!!! I will definitely not wait as long to visit again!

We enjoyed our lunch immensely due to the prior reviews being the catalyst. It did not disappoint.

Our bartender/server was Lashone and she was funny, fast and friendly! She was pouring drinks for the ENTIRE restaurant and didn't miss a beat!! The breakfast menu is small but everything sounded fantastic. I chose the Steak Tacos; my husband chose the brie and bacon frittata (added by the chef since the quiche was sold out. Steak tacos were delicious (see pic). Menu said they had steak, cheesy scrambled eggs, tomato salsa, breakfast potatoes and cilantro. I didn't see or taste any potatoes, but the tacos were still delicious! I'd only recommend draining the salsa through a sieve because of the excess juice affecting the integrity of the tortilla. My husband's frittata was awful. The eggs were dry; he compared them to "eggs at the bottom of the warming tray at a cheap breakfast buffet." The chef also served a side salad alongside. My husband asked about subbing potatoes and Ms. Lashone made it happen. She was the star of our brunch: drinks were delicious, the conversational quips were quick and funny. She was attentive without being intrusive and made sure we felt welcomed and taken care of. 5 stars for her and my food; 1 for the frittata. I don't want to average it and tank the rating. We'll be back soon to see Lashone!

We were seated right away on their patio, which was very cozy with heaters and fire pits. The menu sounded great and they had a lot of featured brunch items that were a little fancier. I went with the sausage, egg, and cheese on English muffin with a side of cheesy grits. Our food came out pretty quickly, but one of the sandwiches was wrong, which they fixed right away. The sandwich was basic but tasty, and adding hot sauce made it even better. I loved the cheesy grits - they were more coarse than other grits I've had but I still really liked them. I had a few bites of Nate's sandwich, the New Jersey sunrise (Taylor ham, home fries, two fried eggs and American cheese), which was very hearty and tasty. Service was decent, they were pretty busy so we did have to ask for a few things, but we had a nice time. I'm putting this spot on my list of places to revisit when we're back in the area.

The tater tot bowl was good and had chunks of sliced Chorizo. I did wish it had more Chorizo and I think the ground Chorizo might be better with the dish but overall good. My friends enjoyed their meal as well and they do also have cocktails.
