Got to go here for our company holiday party. They rented out the side room for about 50 of us. They had a buffet spread for us. They had mashed potatoes, pasta with chicken on the side, mixed veggies, roast beef kinda thing(?), lasagna, and baked ziti. Also they had three types of salads and some bread along the side. It was overall very good. My main complaint was the veggies weren't cooked all the way because they were still a little hard. The staff was friendly and kept asking if we needed anything. read more

My review is customer service related. I ordered to go. Three sides that were already prepared. Pasta salad and potato salads. Kelly (she said she is the manager) told me we will call you when the order is up. Order was placed at 5:36. At the time she was training a new employee. We stood close by as dessert to go orders were filled and out the door. At 5:54 I approached the counter and saw my bag with my name on it behind Kelly. I asked her for it and said I thought I was waiting to hear my name. To which she replied I'm training someone and a lot is going on right now. Well manager Kelly that is not good customer service. A simple I'm so sorry for the hold up would suffice. Your lack of customer service training has lead to this review. And to think she was training a new employee. Food is okay. Location is good. But poor customer service will alway cause a business to loose loyal customers. I called to voice my concern and Kelly answered. Letting me know she was the manager. I asked to speak to another manager after she informed me she was the only one. Well another guy answered. Apologized and gave me a number to another "manager" that answered the phone as if it was his personal number. Came here recently to eat. I think I had a Santa Fe salad. It was very heavy on dressing and light on other toppings. I thought it was kind of plain and boring. Didn't think much of it. Staff was friendly and the restaurant has a nice outdoor patio. read more

I love the pizza! It's so good. My goal is to try a different one every time. My favorite is probably the one with fontina, arugula, and prosciutto. The barbecue chicken pizza was also so good. The crust is thin and crispy with a great balance of crunchy and chewy. Tonight I tried the spicy sausage with rapini. Yum! I have never dined in. I just call ahead and pick it up in about 15 min. My wife has a gluten allergy and they have a gluten free version of most everything they make, so this is a go to place for us. Everything I've had is delicious. The pizza is excellent, but my favorite thing is the soup and half sandwich-pick and soup and sandwich combo you want for $8.99. The restaurant is always clean, the staff is friendly, the service is great. The absolute best thing though is their deserts! There is no better way to finish your meal than with a cup of their excellent coffee and a great desert. Basilico is divine. We now have 2 locations in the area. One in Central Park and on on Harrison. Their food is amazing, the cold subs are the closes that I have found to a Hoagie in the area.the Cheese Steak Calzone is awesome and great for sharing. The pizza is always fresh. Now let's discuss the dessert!!! You will not find a large selection of gourmet desserts that what they have at Basilico. And they are mouth-watering!!!! Nice restaurant, friendly staff, this is a nice solid family restaurant. We ordered the potato and rosemary pizza, the apple pizza and pepperoni for the kids. The pizzas were beautiful and cooked well. Next time my husband and I would probably get pepperoni or something more traditional but they have many interesting, non-traditional pizzas to choose from. This was our first time at this location. We've been to there original location many times. This location is much bigger. Same good food, pastries and ice cream. I had the chicken caprese panini which was great as usual. My wife had the pastrami sandwich which although was good was skimpy. She made a half sandwich with the amount of pastrami they put on the whole sandwich. One surprise was that it being a new place and decorated nice they cut some spending in the restroom. With all that's going on in the world they could have installed touchless urinals and toilet bowls. read more

I came here on Saturday, 4/10/21, and had brunch with a friend. Very nice staff. I do not have any complaints. My kids got a pizza and a grilled cheese and they loved it. I went into Basilico on Harrison Road and placed an order for a salad. It took almost 30 minutes for the salad to be prepared. When I stopped one of the employees (she was the one wearing a mask) she was not helpful at all and a bit of an attitude. What makes things worse is that they ask for tips for take out. read more

This is HANDS DOWN my favorite big salad stop! I love the half salad (also big) & half eggplant roasted red pepper panini! Some days their soup of the day is clam chowder & it is awesome! For those of us that live west of Harrison Crossing the new location is convenient. I picked up their catering dessert platters for a gathering at home & they are sized perfect, look perfect & are absolutely delicious. After wanting to find a spot to meet some friends, we decided to come here. The restaurant is large and spacious. Lots of tables and room to space out. Once ready to order, we went to the counter to place it. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara and my husband ordered a chicken pasta dish. We also ordered the meat and cheese board to snack on. My pasta was ok, the bacon that came in the pasta was flimsy and although it was cooked the texture reminded me of raw bacon. My husband did not care for his pasta and said it lacked flavor. I did enjoy the meat and cheese board, I loved the cheeses and meats. We also decided to order dessert after our meal. I ordered the hoho cake which was dry. It did have a whipped cream that I liked. I wouldn't order it again. My husband ordered the strawberry cheesecake and he said it was ok. The menu is very promising, I would just order other things next time if I did come back. read more

The chicken noodle seem kinda old and it tasted pretty bland, chicken were dry, the noodles itself were not great. Lobster bisque was surprisingly good. FOOD was good other than the red sauce which I'm pretty sure I could move around with a magnet given the chance. Extremely sharp tin can flavor. Break table in a warehouse environment. Don't developers provide acoustic ceilings anymore? All that greasy dust up there. Sometimes a specific percentage of dust is said to be skin, usually about 70 or 80 percent. This review is on the 4 lbs of potato salad I bought tonight for an event tomorrow. Have enjoyed their potato salad in the restaurant so thought this would be an ideal choice. One should not have to strain potato salad. I understand creamy, but this was watery. Lacked any taste as well. Did they change their recipe? We always went to their location near Mary Washington and loved it. Their new location on Harrison is closer. We went on A Sunday at 3pm. We were the only ones ordering. I got 1/2 Ceasar salad and 1/2 reuben. There was not enough salad dressing for the entire salad. The reuben? The sauce was only on one corner of the sandwich. IT was all I could do to eat the rest. I was so disappointed. I know the gal picking up dishes meant well but she reached across my face and just took my plate. I guess she figured I was done. We won't be going again. I was so disgusted. I love this place. Sandwiches, pizzas, fries, cakes, pies, oh my. The options are plentiful and leave you no choice but to find something you'll enjoy. My favorite sandwich is the Italian hero. This is a spot that I enjoy frequenting especially for lunch. They have a great 1/2 and 1/2 deal. You can get half a sandwich and half order of soup or salad. I have never ordered anything that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. They also have an incredibly tempting display of desserts and gelato, all of which are outstanding. The only reason I cannot give them a 5 star rating is because they tend to be a little slow when it comes to getting the food to the table. If it weren't for that it would be 5 stars for sure. Not at all impressed - food or service. Two meat calzones and one Italian hero proved a waste of nearly $30 dollars. The self-service coffee had regular & decaf...no French, Dark Roast or Italian Roast - and the regular coffee was like sink water. Marinara was tomato sauce with a sprinkle of oregano - ummm, not very good and the meats on the sandwich were few and far between. Lots of cheese but no meat. When you enter to order you look up at a board - much like Panera - yet no one bothers to tell you a complete listing of food is located in a small menu in a basket at the entrance - no sign or indication the information was there ... we had to stop a waitress and ask where further info was available. And why is it so many restaurants use the absolute cheapest cutlery? Simply trying to cut the calzone, the fork was so thin it promised complete collapse before completing the feat. A bad day - perhaps - but on so many issues it is doubtful we will return. read more

Ordered an Italian hero and lobster bisque soup. Sandwich was nasty hands down. Nothing on it tasted fresh or good. Didn't taste like it came from a deli. The lobster bisque soup though.... delicious! I'll go back only for only that. It took about 15-20 mins for me to get my food and they weren't too busy not sure what took so long. Great little spot. I'm surprised the ratings aren't higher for this location. The wait staff were very nice and attentive for the most part, the food was tasty and fresh!! And the portion sizes are generous. We ordered soup, salads, sandwiches and ravioli; all were yummy. Pizza needs work. No flavor, chewy crust. The house ceasar dressing is pretty good though. Probably won't order again.

We had Basilico cater a medium sized family party and everyone was extremely happy with the food. We ordered fettuccini alfredo with chicken which was creamy & delicious and the chicken was extremely moist! We also had spaghetti & meatballs which was awesome - best meatballs in Fredericksburg! Cobb and Caesar salad were both very fresh and dressings were good. Last but not least we had 12 assorted pastries from their incredible dessert case. Lobster tail pastry with custard, key lime cheesecake and the lemon berry marscapone cake were big hits but they were ALL delicious! Love that you added the Harrison Road Crossing location. The placed an order to go and the only issue I found is the tight space for order pickup.
