I went to madres brunch in uptown Whittier couple times now. I enjoy the food I usually get the chilaquiles "the green ones are my favorite". Also tried the birria sandwich, parfait and pancakes. The coffee is a hit and miss I feel like I haven't found one that I really like. The hot chocolate is so good!! Location is not that big but they do have several tables. The only thing is that sometimes they do take a little long to take out the food but I understand they are busy for the most part.

Delish food. American food, as well as, Mexican foods with a delightful fresh spin. Love their mimosa flights. Everything we've had here is do yum: green chilaquiles , breakfast sandwich, waffles with fresh fruit, Madres chilaquiles and other items. 10/10 food and drink experience Good for large parties, too.

Came to Madres Brunch in Whittier with my family after a friend highly recommended it, and I have to say -- they were absolutely right! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the great energy and positive vibes. The atmosphere is welcoming, lively, and just puts you in a good mood right away. The service was awesome -- friendly, attentive, and on point the entire time. And the food? Excellent. My compliments to the chef! Everything we ordered was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The variety on the menu is impressive -- honestly, it made me want to order more than one plate because everything looked so good. If you're in the Whittier area, do yourself a favor and stop by. I guarantee you won't regret it. Highly recommended!

The girlies wanted brunch. I hadn't been to this spot since it had been changed from it's former ownership and I was pleasantly surprised at how cute it was! We each ordered our dishes - I got the chilaquiles which were delicious! We got our mimosa flights and had a great time! Everyone enjoyed their food, and we will be back soon!

Steak and eggs was okay, steak needs more flavor. Potatoes were great. & the coffee was delicious

First time visiting here, I had a great experience; the manager Jazmine greeted us at the door with a great smile and attitude while checking on everyone, the server Ana explained everything and offered advice, we got our mimosa flight of lychee, peach and lavender with a sugar rim, hell yeah, we got some quesabirria and mole chiliaquillas plus these fluffy delicious chocolate pancakes with almonds strawberries chocolate sauce and chocolate ice cream, to top it off I had an iced horchata with oat milk and a latte with oat milk. The atmosphere was very friendly and I didn't feel the need to call anyone down. Thank you to everyone who made it a great experience.

Beautiful abundant oatmeal!

Madres was really cute. The mole chilaquiles had nice flavor however they were a little dry. I like a saucy chilaquile. We also ordered the oatmeal and that was gorgeous! Oh my gosh, so many yummy topping like nuts and fruits. The staff were very nice and attentive. Over all, I do recommend this restaurant. Perhaps for me, I'll request extra sauce on my chilaquiles to suit my taste.

Took myself on a breakfast date and found Madres Brunch on Yelp! The restaurant was good mom and pop. I would definitely come back to try other options on the menu. It was my first time and the restaurant is in a good location with parking in front and behind. I ordered the mole chilaquiles which were flavorful with a small little kick of spice. The service took a bit long to order which I would recommend being patient. Overall I had a good experience and worth checking out if you're craving chilaquiles.

Green Chilaquiles $17 + $7 extra for steak

Location is nice and big. Food is had was average. I tried the green chilaquiles with steak. It was not what I expected. The tortilla on th chilaquiles were a little soggy and food was not hot. Drinks were great! Wish they wouldn't charge $7 more for the steak on the chilaquiles. Service was awesome! No complaints there. If Food quality was better, I'd give it 5 stars!

Divorciados.
Sontue P.

I ordered the divorciados. The menu made it sound appetizing but the everything was bland and meh. They could've served a whole baked potato but it was a half of potato that was over cooked and dried out. Parking can be hard since it's uptown but park down the street and walk a few blocks. Customer service was pleasant.

Stopped by for brunch and started with a Pacífico Michelada. The server asked if he could pour it for me, which was a nice touch and appreciated. Ordered the Steak & Eggs, a 10oz flat iron steak, two sunny side up eggs, country potatoes, and toast. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare, but lacked a strong sear and needed a bit more seasoning for my taste. I found myself adding salt to bring out the flavor. The sunny side up eggs were cooked well, with set whites and rich, runny yolks that paired nicely with the steak and potatoes. The country potatoes had a good texture, soft on the inside with crispy skin, but also needed a little more seasoning to really stand out. The chile de árbol salsa had a nice kick and helped add some much needed flavor to the plate. Toast was okay. The slices were a bit thick, so the center stayed too soft and did not get as crispy as I prefer. Overall, the brunch was decent and executed well texture wise, but leaned a bit bland for my preference and needed extra seasoning to really shine.

The service and food here alone deserves 5 stars. Seemed like they are known for their chilaquiles, and it did not disappoint. For the price, the portions are fairly hefty so make sure to come on an empty stomach. I got birria on the side because they initially forgot to add it until I asked, and the birria was tender and good. The pistachio latte here is a bit sweet, so I personally wouldn't order it again, but definitely would come back for the food. Fyi, theres a parking lot with 3 hours free parking behind the restaurant which has less flowing traffic compared to the street, so I would park there.

Went with one of my besties and we picked our seat. He ordered the Nashville hot chicken breakfast sandwich! It honestly looked delish and something I would order. I decided to try to Smoked salmon with a runny egg on top... and we shared a Toffee French toast banana treat which was honestly to die for. I like it more than the smoked salmon. The Lychee sangria pitcher was delish as well and sneaky to share between two because we were pretty litty and chatty after... I like the cute lil vibe inside. Spacious enough and not too crowded for a 12:00pm brunch Sunday noon time with a friend. The only critiques is no one really checked up on us to refill our waters.. and when they did they asked if we were done, but in reality we were still working on the French toast. I would have liked more napkins and utensils to get the fishy smell out to enjoy my toffee French toast so I can be posh and cute :D (and my bestie eventually did ask). I improvised and used my hand hehe. Other than that, I was more than happy with the food and the warm atmosphere. I would come again.

Keep in mind both these drinks were on the sugary side, but I personally like that, but to each their own. The Aztec Mocha was super chocolatey which I loved, and the prices for each are fair for the size you get. The breakfast combo was very very good, a very generous amount of egg, the hash browns were crunchy and hot, and the bacon was delicious. I loved everything on the plate. The mini pancakes were great, good agreeable amount and came out hot. I would highly recommend the combo The chilaquiles were great as well, salsa had a nice flavor, chips were crunchy, and eggs were cooked to perfection.
