In preparation for the Memorial holiday weekend, I recently purchased the Made In Carbon Steel Griddle hoping to make some delicious smash burgers! First off...know that it's not that big. Depending on the size of your grill and burgers (not slider's) you can only smash about two or three burgers at most. We initially used it on our grill but ran out of propane so had to finish on the stovetop - which actually ended up being a good learning experience. There is no grease trap on the griddle like many others, so watch out for those flames! I would not recommend using this indoors AT ALL...at least for smash burgers. After only one use, it has started showing signs of rust. I diligently followed their prep, wash, oil and bake instructions and dried it thoroughly. Their instruction manual says don't fret over rust; scrub and re-season if needed....we shall see. Bottom line: we got the griddle with no press at $179 (now it's $159.99). With the press - it's currently $199.99. Sorry but anyway you buy it, it's just not worth it for the quality. While their other products may be great, I personally do not recommend this griddle. read more

Absolutely the Worst Wok or Kitchenware company ever. Their product was Defective within 2 weeks of purchase. Customer service is terrible and a scam to their customers. Recieved steak knives as a present, they are extremely sharp, therefore, dangerous. They arrived in a recycled, flimsy cardboard box, which was completely crushed. The Company 's system was not able to process my request for a new storage box. What? Lame? You hold yourself out a a high end proveyor of fine cookware and you can't provide a storage box? The customer service was rude, uncooperative and full of themselves. The brand is all show, don't give them your business! read more

Ok i feel like i need to get the bad taste out of my mouth from my last review and finally write a happy review!! I LOVE MADE IN!!! Not hype but fact!! Although they truly deserve all of the hype they get! When i make an investment as i've done with quite a few of their pieces including a gorgeous engraved knife i do research i buy one or two things and test them. I've got no time to waste my money i know it can't be helped sometimes and bad choices and situations happen but in this case every dollar i spent i can say i have zero regrets! Trust me i wish i was rich Lol i'd have every piece they make haha I'm a kitchen gadget and pan whore hahaha!!! And proud of it ;) I have several of their stainless clad sauté pans, fry pan, sauce pan and saucier. I've got one nonstick fry pan 10", a 10" blue carbon steel fry pan and a pre seasoned carbon steel 12"fry pan. I chose to get the frying pan universal lid which is freaking amazing also!! I've had a lot of different high end and low end pots and pans in my lifetime and i have to say by far these are my favourite! Better damn well be they ain't cheap Lol! You feel the quality just when opening that box for the first time it's like a damn orgasm!! Feel those pans, feel those sexy strong handles oh they've got girth baby! ;) Those stainless clad pans clean up like a dream also! And did i mention such a joy to use! I don't even care about washing these pans Lol and trust me it's my most hated chore besides laundry but i don't mind i love these pans so much! Treat them well do a bit of research cuz yes there is a right way and a wrong way to use these as is for all pans you make this kind of investment learn to treat them right and they will last you a lifetime! Carbon steel has a learning curve btw it's like stainless steel and cast iron had a beautiful sweet baby together!! Even if you get the pre seasoned ones season those babies every time after cleaning inside and out and never leave them to soak also don't wash until they cool as with all pans! Those carbon steel are heat safe to 1200 degrees! I can't wait to do a steak or fish in those inside my Ooni!! Don't try and cook delicate items such as eggs or fish in them until they are well seasoned. They become naturally nonstick over time. Also don't cook acidic foods such as tomato, wine, citrus etc. in them. Use the stainless clad for that. Ok i know this is long bear with me :) Nonstick!! OMFG!! Best i've ever used in my life! I only have one of theirs but don't fear i will have more eventually!! Do not use oil sprays in them if you didn't know this ruins non stick pans by leaving a coating just don't do it!! Put a damn 1/2-1 teaspoon of avocado oil or olive oil etc and that's plenty for your eggs! Or if you like butter but i'm banned from butter cuz of my cholesterol Lol dammit!!But trust me you will not find a nonstick pan or pot you love more than these!! And we all should know don't use metal in them get good silicone or rubber spatulas, spoons and wooden utensils be kind to these pans and they will give you bunches of love back! Huge shout out if you will to my Nakiri knife they engraved with my nickname "Nuggetchick" This knife is sexy AF!! Feels so good in my hand and literally feels like it was made for me!! I get giddy when i get her out of her case to use haha yea i know i'm weird but damn i love her so much!! Gorgeous knife!! This is what turns me on well and cars Lol but we're talking knives here Tina!! Anyway please learn how to properly sharpen your knives they are an investment as well and an everyday essential!! Be good to them :) This review i adored writing as i wrote this i couldn't help but smile the entire time that's how much i believe in and love this company and their products i've had the pleasure to own so far. I ordered two items for holiday gifts back in November. I was notified that one item was lost in transit ( they outsource their shipping to amazon and UPS). The other item is "delayed" There is a phone number to call MadeIn but there is a message that says due to high volume, they are not taking customer calls. The message instructs the customer to email MadeIn. I emailed them 3 days ago- no reply. Emailed again, 2 days ago. No reply. Never heard of a company that was so busy with business that they have no resources or time to follow up with customers on urgent matters . Totally frustrating when a company hides from its customers. And "leaders" allow for this. read more

When it comes to purchasing cookware do your research. There are literally hundreds to chose from at different price points and quality. There are big name brands like All-Clad and there are generic types sold in warehouse clubs etc. The internet has made it easy to do your homework. If you plan on a larger investment I especially recommend digging in. So when I began my research into non-stick frying pans in the higher price point Made-in kept popping up as a brand with stellar reviews and the fact made in is 100% America made was appealing. After 30 years of marriage we have had quality items we still use that were wedding gifts. However frying pans specifically are not known for longevity. After I concluded my research and decided on made-in their website was easy to navigate. The site is user friendly with lots of useful assistance for at home chefs. Plus they support you every step of the way by providing user help on how to properly maintain your equipment. But also a step further with recipes too! Not just once, but on an ongoing basis if you register. It's free! I decided on a multi pack non-stick frying pans set with three pans of varying sizes from small to large. The value was better for a set at $299. They also provide a 10% new customer discount code. This registers you. I was sold and after discussing with my wife ordered. However at first my fault I left off the discount code off. Customer service working late in the evening corrected it. The pans shipped in 24 hours and arrived in three business days UPS with no shipping charge since the dollar amount threshold was met. They came nicely boxed and wrapped in plastic for protection. The care to ensure they arrive to customers perfect was impressive! The pans are gorgeous stainless on the outside and thick non-stick coating for cooking. There are also color options. My first use was the small 8 inch pan for scrambled eggs. The heat distribution was impeccable, the non-stick flawless and the clean up easy. I'm in love! we bought two sizes of pans about 3-4 years ago. the surface of both of them has worn. one is much worse than the other but neither have non-stick surfaces now and the coating is grossly scratched through normal wear and tear. I just wanted to buy a wok, called them on the phone and sat on hold for 30 minutes to be told yes the storefront on St Elmo is open and I can go shop. Drive all the way across town to Saint Elmo to be told it's not a storefront the store fronts on Congress. Drive over to Congress, find out the stores closed on Tuesday.
