Do not come to this store expecting help unless you already know exactly what you need…read more I brought in a washing machine drain pan plug and needed help figuring out what size hole saw to use to cut an opening for the drain hose. The first employee I asked had no idea. I asked for someone who could help. I was told to go to the front desk for assistance. I waited in line, asked the cashier, and she also didn't know. I had to ask for additional assistance. She sent me to find another employee on aisle 2. Thankfully, that young man was the only bright spot in this experience. He took the time to measure the piece I brought in with calipers and helped me determine I needed a 1 1/4 inch hole saw for PVC. He was professional, patient, and genuinely tried to help. Meanwhile, the checkout situation was equally frustrating. The line grew to three times its original length. Another cashier was called up, customers moved to the shorter line, and then were told to go back to the original line until they were called over. There was no signage or clear direction, so every new customer repeatedly got in the wrong line. It was poorly set up and not customer friendly or logical. The store would benefit from more employees with subject matter expertise, stronger customer service training, and a more organized, customer friendly process for opening additional checkout lanes. I doubt I will return, which is unfortunate, because with better staffing and clearer systems this could have been a very different experience. The only saving grace was the one employee who sincerely tried to help.

It was designed and crafted specifically to go in the dining room of our new Texas Hill Country home. To say they attract attention from anyone who visits is an understatement. Everyone is in awe of the wood, the design, the quality, and the uniqueness of these works of art. When I sold my home of almost 20 years and moved into a much smaller condo in Southwest Austin, one of the very first requirements was that there was a space where the table and chairs would be showcased appropriately. Fortunately, I found the perfect place. Now, for the disclaimer, the founder of Southwest Trading Post and the artisan who crafted our table and chairs is one of our sons, but I can assure you that if someone else had made this treasure, I would be just as delighted with it. My only hope is that when they put me in "the home", there will be space for this family heirloom.

This is pretty much a beautiful upscale store they cater more to the elite crowd. Yes it is…read moreexpensive but they do carry a lot of beautiful items I do remember buying about 20 wine glasses a few years back and they weren't what I thought they would be. But now they carry better quality and definitely the selections they have is going to be a little higher and more expensive. So you can save money here if you come at the right time do not come when it's seasonal items because they do tend to be on the higher value side. They do carry electrical items and they carry wine glasses and beautiful Christmas trees. I was searching for a certain wine glass I wanted to get 10 of them today except that it's Hit or Miss because they don't carry 10 items you have to order or find them in the store. So if you want to purchase several of the same wine glass good luck with that. I had wonderful service they're very friendly here and they will help you in every way they can that's what I thought was an absolute Plus. Like I said I usually like to come when it's not before Christmas or any holidays because that's where you will find everything higher in price. I will come back again of course and see if I can buy any items on sale after the holidays that's the best time to come. Great parking no problem here and very friendly customer service.

The beautiful objects are still there, but the shop appears to be quite understaffed... and whatever staff there is is struggling to keep up. I genuinely felt sorry for them. This is an ACE hardware store coupled with a tasteful, high end and carefully curated and presented homeware selection, including tableware, gardening supplies, greeting cards, candies and candles and one of a kind objects for the home. A $2,400 candelabra, a Smeg toaster, an excellent selection of flatware, tablecloths and glassware... pretty pajamas, $90 votive candles... But what to do if you want to know the price of that set of Wedgewood china, or the Rialto flatware? Prices are missing on so so many objects. And you cannot find a staff member... And you only have so much time before you need to meet mom for lunch. Ah well. Many of us are trying to ween ourselves off of online shopping. I had another company's product and even though BBQ outfitters did not sell me this particular item, since I was a previous customer they still helped me out with the warranty. The back office crew helped me out with everything. I did send some pictures of the broken areas on the items and everything was done on email and phone. I didn't even have to go in to get this taken care of. I even purchased all new parts that where not covered under warranty and they helped me out with making sure everything was in working order and I had everything I wanted. After all is said and done I had a new working product that I thought I would have to just replace everything on it. Saved me money and time!!! I paid for delivery as well on a warranty item and the delivery guys put it all together to make it work as good as new. So you can trust that if you purchase or purchased a item from BBQ outfitters, you will be a customer for life and not just during the purchase time. They are busy there and if you have to call back a few times, they will get to you. I did leave a message a couple times and eventually got a call back. I did hang up and call back a few times when I needed a immediate question answered. But when they answered, they took the time to answer all my needs.
