I understand the pastries sit out for a while, but I wasn't asked if I wanted it heated, so I ended up eating it cold. Even so, I still enjoyed it. I was still a little hungry, so I went back and ordered a ham and cheese croissant, this time asking for it to be warmed. It was simple but tasty, although the inside was still a bit below lukewarm. Not a big deal, just something I noticed. Overall, I enjoyed the bakery, especially the variety of pastries and the cozy atmosphere. We pulled up to take our pizzas to go, and we were frozen in place after the viewing the strikingly gorgeous cakes on display. It was destiny telling us that we indeed needed dessert that night, so we decided to order one of both. Little did we know that they were about to give us the largest slices of cake we've ever seen - they lasted 3 nights! But let me tell you about the pizzas. Both of these were out of this world, and so creative. French onion soup on a pizza? That is genius. They're taking the best elements of the dish, but making it into pizza instead of soup. Who wouldn't want that? And then they had a summer special with a white sauce, squash and ricotta. A wonderfully light pizza, but with HEAVY flavor. Everyone always told me growing up that the crust is the best part of pizza. I never understood that, it just seemed like a strange lie that was perpetuated by Big Bread. Sourdough Foccacia ($13) - This foccacia has a good crisp on the outside, which deteriorated a bit since it was sitting in the car for a couple of hours before consumption. It comes in a nice form fitting paper box. The interior is open and airy looking, but it's actually quite moist, chewy and somewhat tough especially on the crust. It has an exceptional fermented-ish sour taste and is decorated with sea salt specks on top. It's even more sour than what could be found in most sourdough breads in SF. I can tell this is extremely high quality but the taste profile is just a little too much for me. (4/5) Onion Cookie ($4) - Woah, this is a really unique cookie. There's a caramelized onion aroma that wafts right into the nose as the cookie is removed from the packaging, which is soaked through with oil. The texture is soft, yet pliable, allowing the cookie to bend quite a bit without breaking. First bite - it's not too sweet and has an exceptional umami-savoriness. Kind of like a miso cookie with some cinnamon that works so well with the savory notes. So strange in taste yet delicious. I expected to find onion pieces embedded within, but it's pretty evenly textured. (5/5) Salmonberry Goods serves some very high quality treats. It's very convenient if you don't like having to spend lots of time in the grocery store and want to celebrate the beautious diverse bounties from our local farmers! We grabbed a loaf of the sourdough and the berry pop tart, and I will say the berry pop tart did not make it to the car. It was delicious 10/10 I never wanted it to end I will say that I was very disappointed with the sourdough loaf :( I always enjoy a good blister, but it lacked depth of flavor, seemed maybe under proofed and was a bit dry. And I wouldn't generally be this picky, but for a $10 loaf, the score was a bit sloppy and made me lowkey sad :(

The croissant was perfect--so crispy and crunchy on the outside, with soft, buttery layers inside. The veggie sandwich was also great, featuring a tasty combination of goat cheese, sweet potato slices, and pesto. The bakeshop is very family-friendly. We noticed they provide crayons for young kids. We'd love to come back earlier next time to try their cakes and coffee!
