    Duvet with pillow cases

I had a really great experience at Macy's in Herald Square. The store has so much to choose from, whether you're looking for clothes, shoes, beauty products, or home items. The bedding section on the 6th floor is especially nice and has a lot of options to look through. I ended up buying a Carter Club duvet, and I'm honestly so happy with it. It's beautiful, feels perfect for this season, and the quality is excellent. The original price was $225, but with the 60% off sale I paid $90 plus tax, which felt like an amazing deal. I also want to give a big shoutout to Marcial, the manager of the bedding department. He was incredibly helpful and patient, and his customer service really made the whole experience even better. It's always nice when someone goes out of their way to make sure you find exactly what you need. Overall, I left very happy with my purchase and the service I received.

Macy's beloved annual Flower Show began on April 23rd and runs through May 10th. On the ground floor, a profusion of flowers, real and silk, fill the floor with beautiful floral decorations. Valentino, the designer, has rooms with decorative flowers up the staircase in the perfume section. A lot of customers and tourists take pictures of this beauty. Like myself. I may get lost frequently at Macy's but when the flower show is on I know where to go and as I like flowers, I like to snap as many pictures as possible. This way I can share it with everyone.

This Macy's is a must-see if you happen to be in Manhattan. It's huge and crowded. I loved the cosmetics section, an entire ground level carrying all the best brands like Chanel, La Mer, La Prairie and Sisley to name just a handful. It's high energy, bustling busy. There were products inside that you can't find on their website. Their Christmas window displays were fantastic. Great store.

In the spirit of the holidays, Santa Girl has inspired all to be like Santa.

One of the best holiday attractions in NYC has to be the Christmas and holiday window displays at the various department stores throughout the city. Tourists aren't the only ones who can enjoy these festive showcases at Herald Square and Fifth Avenue--even for locals, they hold a dreamy nostalgia that only comes once a year. Situated at Herald Square along Broadway between 34th and 35th Streets, Macy's offers free, magical, and nostalgic holiday cheer for visitors called The Most Wonderful Stories Start Here," looking back at Macy's heritage until January 2. This block-long display takes us into a greatest-hits tour of Macy's legendary "firsts": the first Santa it ever hired, the first window displays back in 1874, the first Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1924, and even a nod to "Miracle on 34th Street." My partner and I saw them yesterday morning, and it was manageable. The best tip is to go on weekdays or late nights to avoid crowds.

New Christmas tree bought on line during an after Christmas sale. I love the Macy's App.

This review is not for the store itself. It still holds traumatic memories of trying to keep up with my son when he was young. I'll never recover from the myriad in which an elementary school aged child can explore from section to section causing Mom to have "heart failure" while trying to locate him. My favorite Macy's was in Downtown Brooklyn, which sadly closed this year. My compliments are for the corporate office, located in the same building. I love, love, love the ability to shop from all the Macy's stores across the country through the Macy's App. It's fun to check the shipping address on a package to see which store it came from. Should your purchase not fit or be what you had been expecting, a free return can be scheduled. A UPS tag is printed & the packaged product taken to a local UPS Store, Periodic text messages for sales, some only lasting for a day, allow you to peruse and find items on your "to get" list at a great price, My favorite Blue Jeans brand is a Macy's store brand. They always fit perfectly. My beauty & makeup are always purchased when they have a sale on that product class. The Christmas Tree my family had for decades fell last year, making it unstable. Since my husband died my son had always put up the tree at Thanksgiving & come back from Brooklyn in February to take it down. The late 80's era tree was stored in my attic & was difficult to bring downstairs & assemble. During a Christmas visit to Brooklyn last year a push notification came through for a sale on Christmas Trees. The perfect tree came up in the search at an enormously discounted price. When I showed my son, he stood over my shoulder until he was sure I had ordered it. If you've bought at a specified cumulative level during the year shipping is free, even for heavy items like my tree & the china that I use on a daily basis. Macy's is a source for Christmas & Birthday present shopping. Those who wear unusual sizes, such as a very small size shoe, can find wonderful bargains . Unsold store inventory can be a great source for these items. It's a win, win situation for both the store and the customer. Thank you Macy's management for creating such a convenient & well stocked shopping choice.

The store is enormous -- you can easily spend hours exploring all the floors, brands, and departments. It feels like a mix of classic New York charm and a modern shopping experience, with everything from high-end fashion to everyday essentials. The building itself is beautiful and full of history, which adds to the experience. The selection is amazing, the displays are well organized, and it's easy to find something for every style and budget. I really appreciated how helpful the staff was -- friendly, knowledgeable, and always available to point us in the right direction, even with the store being so busy. Whether you're shopping, browsing, or just wanting to experience one of NYC's most famous landmarks, Macy's is absolutely worth the visit. A must-see stop in Manhattan and definitely a place I'd return to!

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade started in 1924 as the "Macy's Christmas Parade," a celebration organized by employees to kick off the holiday shopping season. It has since evolved into a cherished national tradition featuring massive character balloons, elaborate floats, and live performances. To kick off the official Christmas holiday shopping season of 2025. Enclosed are photos, with review below. I have posted a photo of the side of Macy's on Sixth Avenue and 35th street Christmas decorations are underway on 11/18/25 at 12am. The best time to see Macy's elaborate Christmas lights, and display is late at night. 11/29/25 Photo showing the holiday gridlock. Crowded streets, people running in and out of traffic, creating a logistical nightmare with enormous crowds of people. Traffic is at a standstill. It will take over an hour just to go 1-2 miles in the tourist sections. Please do not park on any of the streets in Herald Square or you maybe paying hefty fees for a parking, and windshield boot. To avoid all of that, I ordered last minute holiday decor online. Don't believe in shopping on Black Friday, nor will I go out, and be uncomfortable amongst crowds of people pushing and shoving for a small discount. Ordered (3) 4.5ft tall pencil Christmas trees ($25 each) to go on top of my counter in my sitting area. Wanted to do something a little different this year. Was inspired by the holiday decor window display. This year my colors will be green. Ordered these trees online on Saturday, to be delivered to my home. Have no plans to enter into a retail store until after the New Year when everything is on sale! Thank goodness did not wait until cyber Monday the tree's will be higher which is not a real sale. But these are the games retailers play during the holidays. Service online is perfect, the value is great, don't have to leave my home. Best shopping experience ever!

Macy's Herald Square is such an iconic part of New York City. The store is massive and beautifully organized, with each floor dedicated to a specific department, which makes navigating easy. The first floor is always crowded and is mostly jewelry, fragrances, and designer bags, and the upper levels have everything from women's and mens to kids' and baby clothing. They also go all out with their holiday decorations, which makes visiting during the season feel magical. That said, I do not recommend going on Black Friday you can barely walk!! It gets insanely crowded to the point where you can't really shop comfortably. Prices can be on the higher side, but Macy's does run really good sales from time to time. Overall, it's a classic New York shopping experience that is worth stopping by at least once!

It's that time of year again. Although already bought all my holiday gifts, did need a new belt for myself this week, considering I successfully lost some weight. Going into big stores, dealing with finding what you want and then paying for it at a register is too much for me - and that's everyday at Macy's, let alone this season. Rarely make it to check what Macy's has because this historic flagship store is so huge it's just not enjoyable for me. To the rescue, shopping at Macy's Online for in-store pick up at their 8th Avenue Online Pick-up service! Was able to get it with their 50% early Black Friday sale. Order received before 11 AM, ready for pick up 11:46 AM. Dropped by in the afternoon. When I got in line, someone scanned me in. About 5 minutes later, my name was called! Good to go! And exit! Excellent! Big thanks! Also, checked out for the first time the balloons being inflated for the parade tomorrow. Their Thanksgiving parade was a big thing when I was little. Fun to watch all the kids marvel at the balloons! As a Toys "R" Us alum, glad at least it somehow continues to operate as a brand at Macy's - although no need these days for me to check out the selection at store. (And nice not to have to work in store on Black Friday, as all employees were obligated to!) My favorite balloon this year is the Pillsbury Doughboy! Anyway, if you're adverse to shopping in person at Macy's, at least consider online with in store pickup here!!!

My wife and I enjoyed a great experience last year . We returned on valentines day I wanted to possibly purchase jewelry. Unfortunately no one approached us we stood at a counter no one and walked around they seemed to run from business? And the prices were being bumped up for the holiday.

Macys on 34th Street being a staple monument for people to want to come visit or regular New Yonkers just want to shop in, either way it's a lot of traffic moving in and out of the store. It may be overwhelming for anyone visiting or just working there. That being said, I have to say that the customer service was excellent. I did a pick up order from online getting a great sale price for it, the people working there were very friendly. I didn't know exactly where to go and I had a couple of different employees helping me get to the location of the store I needed to be for my pick up. The store is huge after all. The pick up was fast and the lady that helped me was nice even after dealing with someone before that was being very rude and impatient. For this experience in particular I give four stars also they had very nice windows to look out. Thumbs up and Happy Yelping!

A segment on the news brought me into venturing the biggest mall in NYC for the first time in 11 years. A Pac-Man pop up exhibit has settled on the 7th floor of the mall and I was pretty much dead set on getting straight there but I guess before I make my way there, a small summary on the mall as a whole. It is HUGE! It spans about 9 floors and a basement level at it looks like a haven for anything a woman can want while shopping around. If anything, the 7th floor would be the only floor that would be less female centric since there's a sporting goods store and a Toys R Us (Yes, amazingly they're still around, though not in a large scale) in it. The Pac Man spot is in a corner of the Toys R Us section but you can easily see it when coming up from the many escalators to get there. The escalator leading to the 7th floor was all adorned in wood grain so I thought that was a pretty elegant and timely aesthetic Macy's had there. The Pac Man exhibit was fun. I missed the opening event which was the day before I came here but it was a nice setting for many of the people all ages, sizes and nationalities to come around and play a game on its 45th birthday, pre-dating MANY of the people that came around the area, including me. There are a bunch of machines from the 4 player competitive Pac-Man party game, the world's largest pac man cabinet and there were 2 of those, 4 specialized 45th anniversary cabinets with a bevy of Namco arcade classics to chose from as well as a dedicated Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man cabinet along with a bunch of merchandise with a few catching my eye. This joint started yesterday Nov 14, 2025 and will be around til Mid January of 2026 so plenty of time and fun to be had.

First of all, this is a Macy's with a very long history! I have a distinct memory of my grandmother taking me here when I was a child and so it was with real delight that I discovered that up on the top floors they still have the old wooden escalators. I couldn't believe it! That said, I also appreciate the fact that the store is so well laid out, open spaces and comfortable viewing of clothing, etc.. Prices and sales are always great compared to some others, so I'm a fan.

I'm not sure I can remember a time when I've gone to the Men's store and had an overall positive experience...and I've been there maybe twenty times(!)? Perhaps once when all I was getting was a smoothie. Throughout the store the employees seem much more interested in talking to each other than customers; to the point that you have to interrupt to get their attention. Other times you'll feel like you're asking for a pony, BMW, and private beach house when you ask for directions. I've gotten side eyes and eye rolls there. Pushy salespeople are the other side of things. A lot of "do you have this in stock?" responded to with "no, I'm pretty sure we don't". Then you look at your app and it's indeed there, the salesperson didn't feel like finding it for you in the back. Aloof, disinterested, and just overall unhelpful. At first I thought it was just shoes (which is bad) but it seems the whole store needs the manager to actually manage. Because when you go across the street you suddenly don't feel bad for wanting to buy an expensive item from an associate. On the first floor where there is jewelry, body care, and fragrances, the people could not be more lovely. It's a little community happening and the customers are included. The shoe area is great, and designer upstairs, while hit or miss, is at least hit most of the time, rather than the other way around across the street. I stopped shopping at the Men's Store when I'm in NYC. I'll just order on the app and pick up and if something doesn't fit return it on the spot. If I'm spending $$$ on nice stuff, I want the service to fit the cost and at the very minimum, be helpful!

Specifically was looking for recommendations for a beard/mustache product - however I needed some guidance picking a product out. In the past I made the mistake of picking a product my brothers used and realized not all products are designed for all skin and hair types. I explained to Jazmin my prior mistake purchasing products and that my partner is half black and showed a picture to illustrate his facial hair type - so I was looking for a product designed for his skin and hair type. Jazmin could not have been more helpful and showed me two different facial hair grooming kits to choose from - and explained the price difference between purchasing the individual products vs. products as a kit. She was both knowledgeable and transparent. Also, she paid attention to details while not making me feel rushed at all. She noticed when I walked by the YSL colognes that I wanted to purchase a YSL cologne for my BF but he loved certain scents of the brand and strongly disliked other scents and I did not recall which one was which. So I commented in passing "I'll have to bring him back in person to get the cologne". While I was checking out Jazmin dropped some YSL cologne samples in the bag and my BF ended up really liking one scent- so now I know which cologne to purchase! Jazmin did me a great job with the facial kit recommendation, my bf LOVED the kit we chose and his bandmates were a bit envious- one said "my girlfriend doesn't buy me stuff like this after my performances!" You did me a solid!!

Has three floors in total in which each floor caters to different categories like heattech + men's + women's + children apparel + graphic tees. There's even a Uniqlo coffee shop on the 2nd floor. A large fake Christmas tree is placed in the center when first walking inside through the entrance. Then, a huge red escalator of heading up and down to each floor is behind the tree. Additionally. everything's either being neatly organized or stacked on most of the shelves and inside drawers except for a couple of areas here and there. The price range is reasonable for most apparel items besides the thick puffer jackets + sweaters + graphic tees. Even though there seem to be signs for the fitting room and cashiers/self-checkout, it's still pretty confusing to walk around and find stuff imo because of how large the Uniqlo space is. I have to flag down and ask different staff about the whereabouts of cashiers as I'm paying with cash. There's a bit of a line for those paying by cash despite several 5-6 cashiers being present while no line at all for self-checkout (card only). No line for the fitting room though. Generally, staff is shown as helpful + amiable + patient in a professional manner towards customers. My favorite section is probably by the heattech area. There're 3 various heattech types of warmth for both adults and children. Of course you can wear whichever layer as you please at the end of the day. All the desired temperatures are simply suitable for preferred reference anyway. The Original (Mild Weather) - 5°C to 20°C or 41°F to 68°F Extra Warmth (Colder Days) - -5°C to 15°C or 23°F to 59°F Ultra Warm (Extreme Cold) - -20°C to 10°C or -4°F to 50°F I think The Original layer of heattech is already pretty warm for the 30s-40s temperature here in NYC. The fabric is the thinnest in material. Very comfy to wear without being too stuffy on the inside. I bought two long sleeved heattech pieces today ($19.90 each). They also come in different colors and styles that might be suited to the personal taste of each and every customer. I'm not sure if they have a restroom for the public, will have to search for it next time...
