I still preferred the old location near Macy's in Herald Square but can't complain too much as this spot in Times Square is huge, over three floors of men's, women's, and children's clothing and accessories. Well organized, bright, spacious, and clean. I picked up a few things for summer season which were on sale. Many items I saw were on sale which they normally have throughout the year. Always some sort of sale going on top of their decent pricing. Clean dressing rooms and a public bathroom to use, but you need a staff member to let you in. Staff was nice and helpful. While getting to this location is a bit annoying as you have to fight through all the Times Square tourists, I'm glad I chose to come here! I had purchased a bunch of stuff online, and unfortunately all of the jeans I ordered were too big (I think their size chart changed - that, or I lost weight lol). Instead of returning them, I decided to go exchange them as I really wanted them, they were just too big. This location is HUGE, which is why I decided to come here instead of the smaller one located near me. I figured there was a higher chance they would have my size in everything I was exchanging. Turns out, I was right! I took the jeans to the dressing room to try them on, and the attendant was great! She was super nice and even cleared out the few things left in the dressing room before leaving me to it. I'm finding more and more retail stores to have chaotically-messy dressing rooms these days, so this was super refreshing! After trying on the new jeans and confirming I got the right size this time, I stood in the checkout line to do the exchange. The guy who helped me was super nice! He explained that he would have to refund me for the original purchase, then charge me again for the new jeans but assured me I would get them at the same price. He explained that this is how Old Navy makes them do it and that it confuses a lot of customers (rightly so, I might add!). He also noted that it was smart of me to buy them online as I got a way better deal on them had I just purchased them in-store. Woohoo! While the exchange process took a bit longer than I had originally anticipated, it was super easy overall. Although I hate dealing with Times Square, I would definitely choose to come back to this location due to the size, the friendly atmosphere and because it's open crazy late. This is the flagship store & it's huge much bigger than the other ones I have visited so far. I ended up getting some stuff for my son, while I was paying the lady was just rude for no reason. I told her good afternoon, how was your day . She just made a face & start screaming my items. Then after paying & was looking at my receipt & I have realized she charged me twice for an item. So I went to the line again to talk to her & now all of sudden she becomes nice! I don't like when someone does that to me, I rather take a moody person rather someone changes with situations! The second she became nice I wanted to ask her to call her manager, but I just remind myself I gotta be better ! So stay quit & told her you have a nice day ! There's no shortage of Old Navy stores. From my home there are four Old Navy locations within the 25 minute radius, and they are all very similar to one another. However, yesterday I was at the flagship store, located in Times Square. This store is so, so much larger than the average Old Navy store. The downstairs are men's items, and the upstairs are women's and kid's. Everything is nicely laid out and is easy to see. They have a substantial amount of inventory with NYC across it. These items might be exclusive to this store. If you're walking around Times Square, and your flip flop gives up on you, or you discover you have an embarrassing stain on the front of your shirt, well this Old Navy store will save the day. Most items are 30 - 40% off. If you're in the area, and need to pick up something fast for your wardrobe, you might likely find it here. This Old Navy has a very limited selection of athletic wear and leggings so I wouldn't recommend it if that's what you are shopping for. I was returning some items purchased with points online and the employees were pretty unhelpful, which was frustrating. Note that their clearance selection is on the third floor with the children's clothes so be sure to stop there if looking for discounted items. read more

What was initially a 4-star review because of how relatively clean and well-stocked this store is crashed at the end because of the customer service I received at checkout: While the cashier was scanning my items, she asked me if I would be interested in signing up for the loyalty program. I told her no, because I don't shop at Old Navy enough, and she responded that I could get 50% off my purchase, plus an extra 30% off my first purchase. Back in college, I used to work at Gap (the same company that owns ON), so I asked if I had to open a credit card (because the discount seemed very much like a credit card signup deal I remember from working at Gap). She says no, that it's just for their loyalty program. So I agree to sign up, expecting to give her my phone or email, but she instead asks for my social security number. I told her I'm not comfortable with that, and she hands me a brochure for a CREDIT CARD sign up saying that I can earn these benefits. I tell her, no, I'm not interested applying for a credit card or any loyalty program, and she spends the next 30 seconds trying to convince me to sign up. After repeatedly telling her no, she tells me the total I owe, and then very passive-aggressively says, "You could have saved more." To the management at Old Navy: you're a business and trying to ramp up business and credit card sign-ups for the holidays, I get it. But my checkout experience was so pushy and forcing a credit card offer down my throat that I'm likely never to come back to your store again. Help your employees find a better balance between extending an offer while respecting customers' privacy. read more

The selection is not as broad as the suburban locations, but there is a working escalator and elevator, so there is ease of movement throughout the store. Unfortunately, though, at checkout, the primary function of the cashiers is to get customer data, rather than provide full service. And no one answers the phone: I was sent home with a purchase of two items with magnetic anti-thrft devices still attached to the legs. I have been trying to reach someone at the store location for 20 minutes, but no one is answering the phone. Trying to get a bargain is not the move now...if we do not pay top dollar, we will apparently not be getting good service. read more

The Times Square Old Navy is amazing. We were passing through NYC on our road trip and needed a refresh of clothes for our babes. They had clearance racks everywhere in the exact items we needed. The items were nicely organized by size and color. The prices were tagged correctly for sale items. A lot of times the stores are mixed up, mistagged, and all over the place. Not here! Every single person we interacted with there was helpful and lovely. In the children's clothes section, one of the women working gave my girls balloons while shopping. At checkout, we chatted with Douglas as he neatly folded all of the clothes and gave my girls their own bags. He told us about every offer available for using my ON credit card and applied it to our total. They were wonderful, my girls felt my superstars! What happens when your husband is going to Virginia with one son, you are going to NYC with the other, and you realize you swapped suitcases at 10pm? Go to Old Navy! This Old Navy in Times Square is open until 2am! It is by far the largest Old Navy I have ever seen! There are three floors with a large variety of items for adults and kids: Casual clothes, tons of jeans, workout wear, outerwear, underwear....you name it! The staff, from the floor to the dressing attendants to the checkout personnel were some of the friendliest and most helpful staff I have ever seen! Want something you don't see (like a NY Giants shirt)? The staff will look it up and show you several options. Checkout counter busy? Staff member took me to the side and checked me out using a mobile device. It was a pleasure for 14 year old and I to deck ourselves out for the weekend at midnight in about 45 minutes! Lesson learned: Always check the inside of matching suitcases before you leave. But if you are stranded in the middle of NYC without your luggage, Old Navy in Times Square is the place to go! read more

Lakim is one of the best sales associates I've ever encountered! As he stands to greet the customers that come in the door I watched him greet every single person that came in warmly. After Toys R' Us closed up its bag and left Times Square, it was inevitable that a big box store would come in and fill the shoes of the biggest toy store in the world. However Old Navy really looks to be misusing the fraction of the space they have been given in the commercial center of the world. Part of this is due to the fact that the store is spread up over 3 floors with little connecting one floor to the next. Finding men's clothing are split out between two different floors each holding half the clothes you think they would. Perhaps it's just early days, but staff seems just as confused as I was as to where half the merchandise was, at one point throwing up their hands when they couldn't find something. Each floor is squeezed tight, with a tiny back space for holding discount merchandise on the third floor. Overall, not a great layout for a store in the crossroads of the universe read more

i was heading back to my office on the west side near 44th st and 7th ave with no rush to keep back so i did a little shop and browse at old navy. the typical basic stuff for ladies , gents , kids and babies . as i state with other old navys reviews, prices are reasonable and quality may not be grade a but for a pair of cargo pants for under 20 bucks and a flannel shirt for 11 bucks ,grade b or c is ok with me . overall i spent about 80 bucks and got some good threads i can wear during my leisure time and with some cold days and nights approaching its never a bad time to wear flannels . most old navys have a decent closeout and end of year sales going on now. read more

I was really surprised at the friendly and helpful workers at this location. ESPECIALLY for Times Square. ESPECIALLY for a chain store. I was approached and asked if I wanted to help, I asked my question and she actually led me up the escalator and to the section I needed. In all my years shopping and 5 years working retail, I have NEVER seen anyone do this. 99% of people point and walk away. I wish I got her name so I could praise her to her manager. She had a light colored sweater with different patch designs on it. I was in there 4/17 looking for sweatpants. The only reason I took a star off is really due to Old Navy's products. Plenty to choose from but nothing much that flatters me. I need super stretchy shorts for this summer only and while they had that part, the actual shorts looked so bad on me. So did the sweatpants really. Don't get me wrong. I have issues shopping plus size anything on a good day and I don't want to spend so much on places like Torrid when Old Navy is cheaper and carries my size in store (where others only do so online). The layout of the store is bothersome, and it appears cluttered, although it occupies three stories. I was most bothered by an employee attempting to persuade me to purchase jeans. There is one thing to provide fantastic customer service, but there is another thing to overstep boundaries and continue to try to make conversation with someone who is uninterested in speaking. I have worked for a retail company before, and we were giving incentives when we sold jeans. I'm not sure if that's what was happening here, but it was uncomfortable. It was just me by the jeans wall, and the employee kept watching me like he was a hawk. Very clean store and well organized, although they seem to move their clearance section often, which is annoying. Good prices and good clothes, although some are a bit cheaply made and the fabric tends to be thin but for $15 a decent looking dress, yes please! My only gripe is how often their staff comes up to me asking if I need help, offering me a shopping bag and pushing to open a credit card. Right in the heart of NYC, Old Navy has found it's new home. The store is very neat and well put together. You won't have a problem finding anything. The employees go above and beyond as well. If you need something, they won't make you do it yourself. I needed a certain size but was overwhelmed with how many jeans they have (And there's a lot!). An employee overheard and offered to get my size immediately. Not a fan. Went to return a pair of shorts this morning and accidentally left a Sephora bag full of items I had just bought on the counter. I realized it 5 minutes later and went back in but the woman behind me in line had seen me leave it and stolen my bag. The employees were quick to tell me they are not liable and can't chase people out of the store for stealing but they were very sorry. I love this Old Navy! It's close to my work and they always have a great selection of clothes. And I like how they have late hours, so that means after I get out of work when I'm on the evening shift, I can shop here for a bit. They're always hookin' it up with deals via coupons, sales codes, and special discounts if it's your birthday. I wish they had more shoe/sandal selection for the ladies, though. My boyfriend loves the men's collection. Almost all articles of clothing he owns is from Old Navy. Store is clean, and overall, staff is friendly. I just want to point out, though, that there is a rude African American lady working at the front of the store as a greeter. When I sneezed while walking in, her colleague said, "Bless you," and I gave him a thumbs up sign, but I guess his colleague didn't see, so she was yelling at me as I was walking further into the store, "You're welcome! You're welcome!" in a very rude way. I turned around and snapped, "I went like this!" and showed her my thumbs up. I couldn't see her face since I didn't have my glasses on (I'm near-sighted) but the guy looked at me dumbfounded. It's like...why was that lady so rude? And plus, I didn't feel like talking to them. I'm not in a social mood today. This store is cool, but their employees go overboard with asking how you're doing and if you need help, more than they should. It's a bit annoying. Overall, I like shopping here, but just wanted to point out the rude African American lady who mocked me as I walked in the store. She needs more customer-service training. And not everyone will react how she wants. Not everyone is a New Yorker. Remember there's lots of foreigners in Times Square, too. I went to this Old Navy to experience the best, as it was in Times Square and took over half of the old Toys R Us (RIP) building I thought it would have a lot more options. I was wrong. The day I went select scarves were 10.00 and they had about two to choose from. Also the workers seemed confused here when I asked questions like "are the scarves on sale" and all she could do was point me to the scarves. I understand that they are used to tourists but she couldn't even answer a proper question. She also told me the sales were the same online and in the store. They are NOT, as the scarf I wanted was 16.99 online and 22 in the store. Also the setup of the store is scattered. Some winter stuff is on the first floor while some is on the second floor. They have a very poor selection of Christmas pajamas. After being extremely frustrated with the customer service, selection, and organization I walked to the Old Navy on 34th across from Macy's and they were FANTASTIC. Their selection was 10x better, their 10.00 scarf selection was at least 10x greater than the selection at the store in Times Square. Also here the employee was intelligent and was able to explain that the prices and sales aren't the same online as they are in the store. Skip this store, walk a few blocks to the one on 34th and then you can stop by Macy's. read more
