I recently ordered 2 flannel shirts from Proper Cloth. Oh, by the way, I am a woman. So to be clear, Proper Cloth will make shirts for anyone. In my case, I sent them a tailored (man's style) flannel shirt that fit me perfectly and added 2 details that would make a new shirt even better. I selected 2 flannels from their collection of fabulous fabrics from around the world. In my case one Scottish and one Italian. I got the first shirt back, in beautiful, eco-friendly packaging, with a request to try it on and make sure it fit as I desired. Proper Cloth instructed that it would be a bit bigger than the shirt I sent because the 100% cotton flannel would shrink a bit. They requested I launder it and try it on again. At that point if anything needed to be adjusted, I COULD SEND IT BACK TO BE ALTERED AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. Are you getting that? I could wash it, and still have it altered free of charge. This shirt cost $100. You cannot beat that price, quality, integrity, standing by their product ANYWHERE. Go for it, and look fabulous. Oh, and they do not make both shirts at the same time. I decided to order a couple of Proper Cloth dress shirts for a wedding I was attending in Italy. Prior to placing my order, I took advantage of the fact that the site offers you the opportunity to send in shirts for measuring (so that the shirts you ultimately order will have the exact fit that you want). The entire process, from start to finish, was absolutely seamless--I sent in my favorite dress shirt, as I really liked the fit and wanted to use it for my future orders, it was properly measured and sent back to me (for free, I might add), and when I was ready to place my shirt order, everything turned out incredibly well. I mean, right out of the packaging, everything fit perfectly! And after having the shirts dry cleaned (the shirt dimensions shift a bit after the first couple of washes), everything still fit perfectly! I been a strong supportive client since 2017. I'm up to 76 shirt orders and could not be more thrilled. Today I called in because frankly I lost a lot of weight and I needed to revisit some sizes from 2019. I found the shirt that I wanted but I could not find the size that I wanted and the actual measurements. Therefore I called in, and they were so helpful and so giving and even reminded me that I had one free remake that I never took advantage of. I love Proper Cloth. I wouldn't think of getting a dress shirt anywhere else. Why would I? Proper Cloth has everything. Their selection of fabrics and styles is several factors of 10x greater than any department store or online offering. The shirt fit perfectly every time. Instead of hunting through the racks I can scan through hundreds of beautiful fabrics on my computer. I can select from a multitude of style choices for things like the collar (button down or not, collar width, collar points directly below my chin or off to the side). Similar variety for cuffs, the placket (where the shirt buttons), pocket(s). They've got shirts that are price competitive with store-bought and they've got shirts with expensive and luxurious materials. I've ordered several shirts per year from Proper Cloth for probably 10 years now, and every one of them has fit perfectly right out of the box after one wash. I won't buy shirts from anywhere else. I should add they all have lasted well for all these years with day in and day out wearing. PC is a blessing for those of us with unusual shirt measurements. The distance between my neck and my wrist is extremely long, so with every single store bought shirt, even with the "Tall" sizes, the end of the sleeve end up landing ridiculously at the middle of my arm. The only drawback is I get people asking me all the time where I get my shirts from, evidently they look good. I don't buy the shirts for the looks, and I don't like getting noticed, so this is why I say "drawback."Ultimately though I see these as compliments to PC for making a d*** nice shirt. read more

You can basically specify every dimension of the shirt -- yoke width, sleeve length, chest, waist, collar size, cuff size. Then you can choose collar style, placket style, cuff style...and even the angle of the collar front-to-back. And if you want: pocket(s), locker loop, split yoke. You can also specify where you want the second button to start -- an inch closer to the top is what I have been choosing, so that you can leave the top two buttons undone without looking like a disco guy. Then there are the fabrics.... As a skinny guy with a 14-inch neck, but with 35-inch sleeves and wide shoulders, I need to wear a custom shirt. customer service has been pretty good thus far. my initial shirt order when received was not exactly right, however they allowed two remakes. The second remake)was perfect in every way, and it came back promptly. i sent it to the cleaners to be pressed with light starch and it fits perfectl. My only concer is I ordered two of the same shirts, one "White, one " Black" and I haven't received the black shirt yet, it's been two week??? I think the value is reasonable for tailor made shirts if it within your budge. if you shop Nordstrom you'll pay $150+ for a well made dress shirt that is not tailored to your body, and you'll be stuck with whatever type of collar, sleeves, excess material etc......I paid less for a tailor made shirt fit for my physiqu! read more

Their sizing program is fantastic. Shipped them a shirt to measure and the rest has been perfect. Made a few adjustments as I grow/shrink and the shirts always fit wonderful. I took a chance on pants with their recommended sizing given my feedback and the pants were perfect the first go around. If something isn't right, it's extremely easy to send back and have them ship you a new shirt. Customer service takes seconds to talk to a real human and they are extremely friendly and solve your issue immediately. Hard to find good companies these days, I really hope this one sticks around for the long haul! I have 6 shirts and 1 pant so far.
