I've been here a number of times and will say that they are a little bit more limited on items than other Old Navy's. But sometimes they have amazing deals. Don't sleep on going downstairs. I always thought that was the men's section and wandered in a few weeks ago and they were having a blow out clearance. Found a really nice dress for only $15 that was initially priced way higher. They're great for random things like cheap dresses, shirts, work out clothes, flip flops, and spring flats. Which the last item, not gonna lie, I really hope they have those in stock again because I'm gonna need some new shoes soon. Not worth going full priced. So, wait for that sale. read more

This is probably the best Old Navy location in the city. It is huge, clothing is nicely spaced out and the sale section is large! I feel like in the city, these chain stores have a pithy sale section, so I was surprised at how much inventory this one had. They also have extremely friendly staff, from the greeter, to people on the floor and the cashiers. I was just not expecting this shopping experience! Old Navy On 6th in the Flatiron District is a favorite of mine. It's not as crazy crowded at the time I shop. There's lots of shopping opportunities in this neighborhood so I always drop in here. I was at this location last fall. It's clean and the employees are friendly. There's a good vibe about this location. I'm a fan of their clothes because they sell a lot of all cotton clothes. I especially like the T-Shirts and denim vest I bought. If you are in the neighborhood stop in. I highly recommend. read more

I used to come to this location often, as I used to work around the corner. Now, it's a pretty dependable location to order and pick up items from the website. This time, my order was missing one of the items, and thankfully, I was notified prior to pick up. I was able to reorder the item for delivery to my home. The staff nice and the current displays were cute with a decent amount of stock. Check them out, the clearance section is often massive. read more

A very disappointing experience. I was visiting New York and I stopped by Old Navy. All I did was ask the manager if they're any discounts on Tuesdays because it used to be an Old Navy would provide a discount on Tuesday. He said they were not but he said he could maybe get me more discounts and before I know, he started asking me a lot of personal questions and he had taken all my personal information down without fully informing me and making it clear to me what he was doing.. he then proceeded to open up a new credit card for me on Old Navy, which I never authorized and he did not fully inform me of. I do not think that was responsible of him to do and my credit rating unfortunately was dinged.., several hours later I got email notifications and text notifications that a new credit card have been opened in my name which again I did not authorize ...I had to go back and talk to the manager and he promised me he would call me to sort it out, but he never did and genuinely don't believe that he was malicious, but I don't think this is a very good way to operate a business and to be truthful with clients he really should've explained to me more About your credit card in my name without fully explained to me what the consequence could be while I still like Old Navy, I would be very cautious in the future about buying something from them. I had to call personally to close down my account because I never called me back when he said he would ..unfortunately do not remember the managers name but I would Suggest people ask my questions when someone is asking your personal information and not explaining why they need it. I do not think that is good business practice to not explain fully why they ask for personal information when it can harm credit ratings. I had explained to him that I already have a banana republic credit card so it was really no need to open another credit card for a very temporary one time discount ...I do not think this is a very good business practice to not explain fully to the customer what the manager is trying to do read more

From the street is looks like a decent size, but once inside, you realize that it has multiple floors and for a city store, it has a very large selection. We went in there the week before Christmas to look for a few things for me, my wife and my baby boy. It was hit or miss. Getting help on the floor was spotty, but at the register, the people were very sharp. When looking for clothes for us, we either found a plethora of options or we found very little. Seemed a bit inconsistent, however, there was a large selection overall across men's and women's clothes and maybe I just had a hard list to fill. read more

Just had an atrocious experience with an obnoxious salesperson in a curly wig at the front checkout counter of this store. From start to finish I was treated like garbage. In short, this was my 5-'minute interaction with this jerk: 1. Complained to her colleague before even ringing me up that "her head was exploding". Yet the gentleman next to me was spoken to with respect and wished a nice day. 2. When I asked her a question about my order, she answered with a terse, "I don't understand what you're saying". Seriously. 3. I asked another question about the cost of an item and was given a snippy response. 4. When my 10 or so items were rung up, she stands there and does nothing. Then, as an afterthought asks if I want a bag. I said I had one and I proceeded to wrap up my items. She then takes the items, and my bag and in an exasperated tone says, "you need to move to the side". As i was leaving, she knew I was annoyed and muttered under her breath some comments, then yelled to me "bye!" This is the world we live in now - where bullshit like this rules. So rude and disrespectful. What'd I do to her? You don't like a job interacting with people, don't do it!! I have no tolerance for morons like this. Just had to vent. read more

I went online put in the cart the merchandise I was interested in and when I clicked the button to place the order the screen went blank. I did not receive a confirmation of the order and a couple of days later I received the merchandise, unfortunately the sizes ordered did not fit right. I decided to go to the nearest store to exchange for another size but I realized I had no proof of purchase of that merchandise. I called customer service and I got Tanisha in India who told me there was no order in the system in my name, the only order she could find was a Banana Republic order. She suggested I should call next day to speak to somebody else. Next day I called again, I got Omar in El Salvador and asked him for a confirmation of the order in order I could return the merchandise at one of their stores. He asked me for the order number which I did not have and explained to him what happened w/this order. He asked me to check the order number on the package. I had thrown the package away and even if I still had it I would not be able to see anything on the label because the package was left on the driveway during intense rain fall and the labels on the plastic bag were falling apart. He then told me he could not give me any information about the order and I asked to speak to his supervisor. He reluctantly put me on hold and after sometime he came back to the phone and told me that there was no supervisor available. At this point I was getting really frustrated because I place the order online to save some time and end up spending so much time on phone calls. I told him this was not acceptable, I was able to login my account using my password, received the merchandise, my credit card account was charged and I was being told I could not return the merchandise because I did not receive an order confirmation and therefore I had no order number? He finally gave me an order # but refused to send me an order confirmation in order I could check the total amount charged to my credit card. I had to go to a store, spoke to a woman at the register and finally to the store manager and was able to return the merchandise but unable to get the order confirmation to check amount charged to credit card. Best Old Navy in the city by far. Putting aside the quality of clothes - which is sometimes a little eh - this particular store is clean, well organized, well stocked and well labeled. Dressing rooms are bright - although the mirrors they use in store are really wonky. I've never had an issue getting in and finding the size I needed. And usually there is a staffer wandering around folding so its easy to find someone to ask a question. I'm taking away one star because of the line to cash out. Anytime I've been in the store they only have cashiers on the main level and no less than 20 people in line. Cashiers don't move slowly or anything...but the line builds up very quickly and there never seems to be any cashiers in the mens or kids departments. read more

Clothing appears bland and plain boring lack personality, un-styled, not unique, certainly not an original classic-- not my style. The clothing certainly quality for all the elements of the 4 B's (Bland, Blah, Boo, and Bù). Old Navy in the Chelsea / Flatiron District where in my passage of travels I find the aisles organized and somewhat well stocked. DON'T EVER ORDER STORE PICKUP HERE. I write this review while waiting at the order pickup counter at the front of the store. I have literally been standing here for 5 minutes and NO ONE has come to assist me. There is no one here working this counter and it's less than two weeks til Christmas! Usually New York City stores are better staffed this time of year. On top of that, it took them 12 hours to fulfill my order. Old navy promises same day pickup (within 2 hours) but I received my email for pickup at 8:38 pm. and the store closes at 10. I placed my order at 8:15 am. Finally, after more than ten minutes I got my order. I will not be returning to this location. read more

Also just as clean and organized as the 34th Street location. Went here this evening & bought something I saw earlier at 34th Street (we were in this area & didn't want to travel up there in the pouring rain). The cashier who helped me was really cool (even gave us a bag for something we got at another store that was busting out of it without us having to ask) but I DON'T like that two other employees were just standing around chit-chatting & making this poor female cashier do all the work. A line was forming behind us & they could have gotten off their duffs to go help some customers. I didn't even see them doing ANY kind of work while chatting. Otherwise, it seems like Old Navy is the place for basic pieces at a reasonable price (in my case, only tops but what can I do). read more

Unfortunately I went to the store on 6th ave and 17 st in NYC recently .. this Thursday Aug 3rd around 6 pm to be exact and me and a cpl of coworkers were rushing to get a polo shirt for an event the following day . I asked politely to one of your female employees if she could tell us where to find the polo shirts and her answer left us speechless .. she said " I just clocked out " and walked away . Ok yes, its old navy. I go here when I get gift cards, need cheap running clothes, or are in desperate need for socks. However, the people who work here are incredibly nice and helpful. The store itself is pretty huge and there weren't any clothes on the ground or mangled hanger disasters, or even unfolded clothing, which is a feat for a store like this. So since this place was in the condition of bloomingdales (and not a Macys or nordstroms rack) and all salespeople/cashiers were so nice, I have to give it four stars. The quality of the running pants are great though! Not soft and silky like lululemon, but when on sale, they're less than $20 and that's a bargain. read more

This store is the worst Old Navy by far. Half of the staff are completely miserable. I've had too many bad experiences to count. One day, while shopping, I asked an employee if I could please use the bathroom, (They have a code to open it themselves) and she immediately yelled at me and said "Don't you see what I'm doing? You need to wait!" First of all, this was my first time asking and second of all, you're going to get paid regardless if you open the bathroom door or not lol Another incident, today they were boasting about 50% off all jeans, shirts, and whatever else. I grabbed a pair of jeans and they were not on sale. When I told the employee that I didn't want it (nicely), she laughed and rolled her eyes. Very professional! I continued with the rest of my purchase but have decided I will return everything I bought tomorrow. Oh, also, if you don't sign up for the store credit card the employees will keep hounding you to try and open it. If you don't, they'll suck their teeth and give you the dirtiest look. No thanks, I don't need a credit card to pay for clothes. And if I did, I wouldn't get it from people who have no clue on how to sell a card to someone. They are obviously just doing it for whatever points they get, not because they want to make your life easier. They don't deserve anyone's time or money. The clothes are average and the customer service is laughable. The people here need to grow up and find professional skills before they go out into the real world. read more

I like the new "pay anywhere" kiosks scattered throughout the store so you don't have to wait on a long line. Cons: Fitting Rooms were a hot mess. The associate staffing the fitting rooms was RUDE. When she wanted me to wait for a room, she simply shooed me back with her hand without saying anything but with a disgusted look on her face. It was appalling. Other customers looked nervous. I've been coming here since 1994 when they first opened and were the cool new kid on the block. Everything was plaid, everything was grungy and most importantly, everything was super reasonably priced. Plus they introduced $5 t-shirts to the world and I was in middle school so DAH. $5 t-shirts are a great thing! Fast forward now 21 years later...Old Navy has evolved, as we all do, and matured in some ways and gone backwards in others. They don't shy away from providing solid basics like inexpensive (but decent quality) tank tops, graphic tees, and jeans - I really like the jeans here. They do a great job of taking different body types, fit preferences, prints/patterns/trends/timeless styles and heights into consideration. I myself have a penchant for their "Rockstar Mid-Rise" jeans. Another thing that has evolved at Old Navy are their prices...although they're still kind of the red-headed stepchild of the Banana Republic enterprise, they're really not that cheap anymore unless it's a big holiday-related sale and even then you have to be patient and do a lot of searching for the right sizes and styles since sometimes this place can be a madhouse with products strewn about everywhere...this isn't the staff's fault though, this is due to unruly clientele who feel the need to toss things about as they look for the one thing they want. The quality of things from Old Navy is sometimes questionable - except for their basic tees and jeans, these are pretty good and are a decent bang for your buck. Their fitness line is also pretty great even if albeit over priced ($40 leggings for the gym? You're not Lululemon). But overall, if you need something in a pinch I would recommend this location over most other locations...except maybe the 34th street one. It's bigger and usually carries more stuff. read more

Just as messy and unorganized as any other Old Navy, the sales people are just a rude, and full of themselves.... But, this place as a really good location, near tons of other stores to keep you shopping trip going. I went on a Sunday morning, and it was slightly crowed mostly in the clearance section, this just happens to be the place i always check first. They have a fitting room adjacent to this area, and the racked seemed to be in order by size, which was super helpful. This floor was the only place where someone ask me if i would like a bag or help (she must have been new) I like this store if only for there clearance section. Why? 1) Not overly packed or crazy 2) Everything is still in it's neat piles 3) Still a chance to get your size 4) Waiting room waits are near non-existent ...and last but main reason... 5) THE BESTEST SALE SECTION!
