We like the costume jewelry. It holds up very well looks good. 08/12/21

Loft @ 1459 Broadway My daughter and I have been shopping at this Loft for years. The clothes are stylish and suitable for the office look. The best thing about shopping here is Petite sizes. I can purchase pants and not have six inches extra length. Same for blouses with sleeve length. I also like the accessories. Shoes, bags and belts are worthy of the brand name. Naturally we wait until there's a sale or permanent mark down. It's a great place when you need that special piece of clothing such as a basic black pant or dress. My daughter gets a lot of their costume jewelry. It's well made and worth the price. I like this location. Everyone that works here is nice. The store is always neatly organized. Fitting room has good employee oversight and is kept clean.

The Striped sweater that was mis-marked and not honored by the employees themselves.

I was passing through the city from Long Island and wanted to see the NYE prep excitement. So I ventured into the chaos of Times Square. Having just received a Loft gift card, I walked into the beautiful store just off Broadway. I needed long pants. I was politely told they don't carry women's tall sizes in store. I decided to browse then order something online. Having found some pretty good sales on winter clothes, which being a native Floridian I do not own yet, I decided to use my card right then. It's pretty confusing. Identical items in different sizes had vastly different prices. A dress in size large was $99, while the same identical dress in a small was marked $38. I went to purchase a white and blue striped sweater that was $59.99-50% off in small, but saw a Medium for $24.88 final sale-60% off. That was a great deal. I'll take it! Realizing that petite clothing were different prices than regular clothing in an identical style, I thought this was the norm here. I chose three sweaters and a pair of lounge pants. All on sale. Once I got to the front, nothing rang up as marked on the tags. The blue and white striped sweater that was $24.88 +60% off in a size medium, was not honored And I was practically accused of switching stickers. When I told the manager that the entire section of mediums were marked at final sale prices and should be an extra 60 off, she proceeded to bring up an arm full of smalls at the $59.99 price and tried to prove me wrong. I knew the smalls were marked at the higher price which is why I wanted to purchase the medium. I was insulted. I told her she should go now and remove the Mediums from the shelf so other customers aren't disappointed and rebuffed. She did not. She wanted to hold tight to her tone of accusation that I did something wrong. Not her employees. I'm hoping that this store's policy of shaming customers before problem checking facts or the possibility that incompetent employees mismarked clothing prices, is unique to this location. As my first shopping experience at Loft, this was a huge fail, and would deter me from coming into the store again. The other employee that was helping me at first was very kind, but she had no influence over the manager that was dead set on treating her customers like thieves. Needless to say I will not be going back, and I will be returning the one sweater I bought so the bad vibes don't cling to it, even though I like it. Hoping the store I go to next will be much friendlier.

Ready for winter. Digging that coral sweater!

Ann Taylor Loft is reliable and shiny, and one of the only places in Times Square that doesn't mostly annoy me.

Many of the items were missing buttons and they don't come with replacements. The store is quite small and has limited inventory, as well. If anything, it may be worth going in to confirm your sizing, but I'd rather shop at another boutique or online. I ended up having to go through corporate for a resolution for an item that ripped right after I bought it, after this boutique never returned my calls and was unhelpful and curt over the phone when I finally reached them. The experience and quality is H&M, but the pricing is at a premium. While I'll probably buy from MM la fleur again, it won't be at this boutique, which is a shame because it's the closest to my home and work.

MM Lafleur's stuff is overpriced and basic, but I can count on it to fit me well. I ordered $2K of stuff and paid extra for expedited shipping. I just wanted a simple solution and was willing to pay $ for it. Fedex then refused to deliver to my address because I had forgotten the unit number. After waiting 45 minutes on hold with them, I confirmed my name , contact info and the order number, and called from the phone number on the package, but they refused to deliver. (I gave them the correct unit number, or gave them the option of leaving it inside of a locked gate at that address they had access to, but they refused). I contacted MM Lafleur via email hoping they could make it right, but they basically shrugged their shoulders and said 'we've processed your refund, you should have your money back in 7-10 days.' They claimed that Fedex said I refused the package, which couldn't be farther from the truth. I'm going to be working all weekend and don't have the time to go on a shopping trip. I would happily go to a Fedex location to pick it up, happily arrange to be outside the front address when it's delivered. Insult to injury, they said -- 'please update your address so this doesn't happen with future orders.' Sometimes people make mistakes with addresses, I've never had a Company refuse to contact the carrier to make an update. Just laziness with a side of "not my problem" attitude. It didn't seem like MM's customer service bothered to read my email and wasn't interested in engaging. (Maybe they're using AI instead of employees, who knows). Maybe their reps are paid based on how quickly they "resolve" cases. I know I shouldn't be shocked by crappy customer service, but I've had better experiences with Spirit Airlines. MM LaFleur -- do better.

Since the items needed to be ordered, she supervised my transaction at the sales counter. WOW! To make things even better, Alex, the store manager, made sure that I was satisfied and pleased with every aspect of my store experience. I'm in retail, so I realize how EXCEPTIONAL this treatment is. Ashley even provided her store contact information, and invited me to come back and shop with her. I WILL do this, based on the wonderful experience. PS, do not miss the café. The pastry and shaken espresso were A++

She was extremely friendly and quick to help me pull pieces that fit my body type as well as give recommendations on styling. I left the store super satisfied with my pieces and Anna and the team that was helping her were all super friendly. This location in general feels a bit calmer than other Artzia's in the city so I do tend to have more luck here. There's an array of items that feel like they can fit a multitude of body types and age ranges which I also dont always see in different locations. It was a bit difficult finding someone that could actually take a second to help me find what I was looking for, rather than just point me in different directions (i.e the first person I asked). That is why I'm so happy I ran into Anna because without her I Iikely would have just left the store. The pieces Anna helped me find were also more on the staple/higher quality side so I do feel like they'll last a bit longer, and more justified on the price point. Overall I felt really satisfied with my experience and the value of my purchase. However, I know that was primarily driven by the help I received and if I hadn't, then it'd likely be a very different story.

The employees are consistently rude, and the manager is even worse. If you ever need to return something, be prepared for pushback and attitude. On one occasion, the manager tried to insist that my item was final sale -- despite clear evidence to the contrary. I had to prove her wrong on the spot. More recently, I attempted to return a pair of pants that had arrived dirty from the warehouse the night before. The staff and manager not only refused to accept the return but also refused to even contact the warehouse on my behalf. No apology, no assistance -- just indifference and unprofessionalism. Beyond that, the shopping experience itself is unpleasant. The staff follows you around the store, making the environment feel tense and uncomfortable. They offer insincere, often misleading styling advice -- telling you something is appropriate for a black-tie event when it's clearly not, or insisting a wrong size looks great just to push a sale. I won't be returning to this location again. From now on, I'll be shopping exclusively at department stores and the Upper East Side Alice + Olivia boutique, where the service and professionalism are on an entirely different level.
