This is my new favorite hang out in Grand Central Station The employees were so nice and helpful. They have the cutest memorabilia and knickknacks. I was in search of a gift for one of my besties birthday and the sweet girl who was working yesterday (10/25) morning helped me find the perfect present! They have a some very amusing and entertaining merchandise. You can find presents for anyone here! I highly recommend this store!! Great customer service which is always appreciated!!

Who isn't a fan of Kawaii or cartoon related goods?! This place sells unique gifts, knick knacks, plushies, lip balm, soap and even puzzles. Goods ranging from brand name labels such as Sanrio (Gudetama), Tokidoki, Comic Book themed merchandise (think DC/Marvel), Pusheen and even Harry Potter. My kids and I are fans...we always stop in when near Rockefeller Center. We first stumbled upon this company when vacationing in Florida. Given a lot of the merchandise is imported, it was still cheaper to buy it in store than anywhere online. So it was a good way to get these imported goods without having to wait for overseas delivery. I was so excited to find out they opened here in Midtown (West). My most recent two visits resulted in me buying way too much stuff for myself and the kids. We got some flavored lip balms, unicorn themed nail art stickers, a bracelet and a few charms, some Gudetama plushies and pins. There was so much to look at. I think we easily spent 25 minutes in this store just to browse. Everywhere I turned, I was grabbing something off the shelf to buy or to eyeball it further. Such a fun shopping pit stop. They even sell NYC souvenirs.

While walking around Manhattan, we came upon this little store. I was not very familiar with the brands of the merchandises in this store, but I was told the designer for this unique gift store is somewhat popular. Not having any idea about this place, I walked into with an open mind and curiosity. My first impression was this is a very hip place. They got so many items on display, its hard to take everything in. You really have to go display by display, isle by isle to really get the idea of different items being sold here. Many of the items are very cute, almost like cartoon characters. You can find things like handbags, picture frames, wall paintings to coffee mugs you name it. They all looked very shinny and pretty, but it's something I probably will not buy it and use it myself. I see it more like something you buy for somebody as gifts. The store is kind of tiny so when they have certainly number of customers in the store, they close the front door until some some customers leave the store. It was cold the night on our visit so luckily we didnt have to wait to go in the store. But on our way out we saw a line already formed outside the store. But I'd still wait 5-10 minutes to get in the sore because its very unique. Even if it was 30 degree outside.

My husband and I usually stop by Pylones in the SoHo location (but now closed); I love checking out their products as it's so quirky and bizarre, but so colorful and cute at the same time. It was founded in France back in 1985, and they have products for the kitchen, the bathroom, the office, for gifts, toys for kids, parties, etc. My favorite is the wind-up chicken kitchen timer and their cute markers/pens that are of all different shapes and sizes. Staff is always friendly, and you can always ask to try out a product. :D +quirky products +founded in France

Psst... Sanrio fans/ collectors in Manhattan...check out the Sanrio display at PIQ! PIQ is the only store in midtown (that I know of) that stocks new releases of Sanrio products on a frequent basis. I luckily right across the street from Radio City Hall and am able to frequent the shop. They carry various pens, stationery (memo pads, washi tape), plush toys, and small containers (lunch containers, lunch boxes) featuring Hello Kitty and the Sanrio gang. Every time I come here there seems to be only one employee and he/she is stationed at the cash register. However, my shopping experience is always extremely pleasant and the checkout process is very quick. This is also one of the very few stops in Rockefeller Center that isn't absolutely flooded with tourists, so it is a nice escape from the crowds.

I like cute things I guess it's my inner child coming out

Yeah I got the Yelp Geek badge after checking into PIQ, but I consider PIQ a novelty store and not really Geek. The store always has a cool window display and lots of times with huge posters handing. They have cutesy, fun, interesting, offbeat gift and little trinkets that are great for gifts. They also sell collector editions of some comic books. I come here every few months because by then the have a change over on the items in the store and I wouldn't be looking at the same stuff again. I would say that the stuff they sell are good for souvenirs, gift to the little one and those people who find the odd gift cool. Many times I see curiously cute items here and nowhere else. That staff is cool and open to questions but just remember that you are at Rockefeller Center and the place is crawling with tourist and Yelpers who are standing around and taking pictures.

seriously TAKE ALL MY MONEY. I don't know how the employees don't get tempted to buy everything here while they're working. I stumbled upon this place by accident as I was getting my ticket for the top of the rock and I'm so glad I saw this store! They have every a lot of cute asian stationary products and goods and surprisingly it wasn't as expensive as I expected. Staff was super friendly both times I visited!

It was the same stuff everyone else was selling, but like less variety. However, I can say their prices were a lot lower than other shops. For example, I bought a pair of pink I Love NY pajama pants for $19.99 in size small. It was the last one. I needed a medium but they didn't have one. I ended up getting it for myself and figured I'd find a size medium in another souvenir shop. Well, I did but the same pair of PJ pants was $29.99! So I can confirm the prices at this store is cheaper (at least for PJ pants). I also ended up getting a lighter for my brother in law last minute and all the lighters by the register were just meh. I bought a lame one anyways. And then just as we left the store, they had all these other cooler lighters in the window on display. Too bad none of those were actually out on the shelves.

Was quickly reminded that, TIM! YOU. ARE. NOT. 20 yrs old NO. MO!!! So that being said, I hope it's awhile before my old ass acts like that again hahah! Actually, nah! Being a dumb kid is fun! Hahahaha! So being in the city, CLEARLY I had to get my friends souvenirs! Souvenirs for my friends who arrrrre....21 and 22 years old Hahahaha! So what's the most popular souvenir no matter what (usually)? .... SHOT GLASSES! But of course-hahaha!! So I stopped in here. Word to the wise....get your shit glasses, tshirts, etc somewhere NOT located in Times Square! Why? Because you will save a ton! Did I do that tho? Nah! Why? Well because of NYE....My old ass took like 2 days to recover. So while recovering...I went absolutely nowhere lol. So the day I'm leaving, I'm running all over Times Square looking for bagels for my mom and stores to get shit glasses and keychains, magnets, and some other things. Went here and paid 2x what I would elsewhere...outside TS. Growing up in NYS and spending tons of time down in the city as a kid and as an adult... I have ALWAYS known better than to buy in TS or around there, but I was in a rush....like so many in NY lol. I legit was tho. I was more worried to find bagels than anything else. Did I get bagels? Nope. Turns out my mom would have rather had NYC crumb cake (because I told her I bought a piece every day I was there and went to bed a happy fat pig lol) and she's like "forget the bagels! There's nothing like NY crumb cake! She's absolutely right. Mental note for next time hahaha! I got my crumb cake at a deli in Queens. Not important to this review, but yeah lol This place I got the shot glasses and other things at...super cool inside. CLASSIC Times Square store. Big, flashy, busy as hell! Great store! Minus the prices you'll pay and OH! And there's an old man who works there, I'm assuming the owner....NOT a very nice man. He deals with tourists all day long..Americans and everyone else from all over the world. I get he may be burned out. That's the case tho....step aside and let a happy person run registers and the floor. Other than that, it's a great place. You definitely feel the crazy NYC vibes in there and right outside is mayhem! Step outs and look to the left and there's the TS NYE Ball, the 2020 sign. Very cool! Thanks, yelperetties! Cheers!

Visiting New York City almost feels incomplete without taking home at least one souvenir that…read morescreams, "I was here." During my recent trip, I stopped by the I Love NY Gift Shop right in the heart of Times Square, and it ended up being exactly what I expected from a classic NYC souvenir stop: lively, colorful, jam-packed with merchandise that is marked higher now with the added trump tax, while still being conveniently located at the Subway Station. Overall, I'd give the store four stars--it's not perfect, but it's definitely worth a visit if you're looking to bring home some fun memories. The first thing that stood out to me was the sheer variety of items. This shop is a treasure trove of New York-themed souvenirs with trump souvenirs as well. LMFAO! You'll find everything from the classic "I NY" T-shirts and hoodies, to quirky Statue of Liberty figurines, to mugs, magnets, tote bags, and snow globes. There are even some novelty items like keychains shaped like taxi cabs and Empire State Building models that make for perfect little gifts. Prices range quite a bit--some things are reasonably cheap, while others feel a bit tourist-trap expensive. For example, I grabbed a T-shirt for around $10, which felt fair, but I also saw hoodies going for over $50, which seemed steep for basic quality. That said, the range does give you options depending on what you're looking to spend. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect in Times Square: busy, bright, and buzzing with energy. The store itself is well lit and organized into sections, which makes browsing easier even when it's crowded. And yes, it will be crowded, especially during evenings when Times Square is at its busiest. If you don't mind the bustle, it's actually part of the fun--you're shopping for NYC memorabilia while standing in the middle of one of the most iconic spots in the world. Still, if you prefer a calmer shopping experience, I'd recommend going earlier in the day. One of the highlights of my visit was the staff. Even though they were juggling a steady flow of customers, they were patient and helpful to some extent. Security guards and staff eyeball at you at your every move. If you misplace an item or unfold a shirt, they will come to you directly to help you put it back where it came from. LOL! When I asked about size availability for a shirt, one of the employees quickly checked the stockroom without hesitation. The checkout process was smooth too--they moved the line quickly while still greeting customers warmly. They accept all forms of payment except checks. What keeps this from being a five-star review comes down to two things. First, the pricing inconsistency can feel frustrating. Some items are considered worth the money, while others are clearly marked up due to their prime location and the fact that they are mostly imported goods made in China. Notably, nothing is made in the USA, except for a bottle of water in the store and the cash when receiving change. Second, the store can feel overwhelming because of the sheer volume of merchandise packed into the space. It's exciting, but also easy to feel like you're being pulled in ten directions at once. Overall, though, the 'I Love NY Gift Shop' is precisely what a Times Square souvenir stop should be: fun, vibrant, and full of options at a marked-up price plus the added trump tax. It may not be the cheapest or calmest shopping experience, but it's memorable and somewhat convenient to window shop. For affordable NY items, shop at Amazon and have them shipped home. It's as if you went to New York, and no one will know. If you're visiting New York and want to grab gifts for family and friends--or even treat yourself to a little piece of NYC nostalgia--you really can't go wrong here if you want to pay a premium price and NOW.

We walked past this place almost every day. So, I was looking for t-shirts and settled on key chains. They had them so that worked. They had everything - t-shirts, bottle openers, key chains, hats, purses, duplicate statutes of liberty, and more. The main value is that they were rather close to our hotel so getting in and out wasn't an issue. They have the typical - 2 for, three for, etc. types of deals, but I wanted to get in and out so I bought three keychains - and a bottle opener. I made my purchase and was happy. I don't know that I'll be back because I tend to be a bit more nuanced when I get gifts for people, but I was desperate because it was a last minute purchase, so I didn't have as much of a choice. But if you have to get something from here, you'll do good.
