Everything about Delphinium makes it the perfect gift shop. From the quirky things you didn't know you had to have to the Devine that you can't live without. I bought my granddaughter the most incredible stuffed ostrich with rhinestone collar and fluffy feathers. I travel here for all my greeting cards, they are unique and not found elsewhere. Small hostess gifts? This is the place. NY things? This is the place. I have to mention the staff, charming, adorable, could not be more helpful. I got a set of 12 really cute thank you cards (envelopes included) for $14 (after tax). Now they are located on 47 street , between 8 th and 9 avenue ,in a location that is twice the size of the old store ! At delphinium home you can find many UNIQUE household items , creative and super original gifts , candles , home decor and THE BEST card selection I have ever seen ! I always come here on any special event for cards even now when I don't live a block away LOL People are always in awe with these awesome cards , delphinium home is a bit on the pricey side but trust me it's totally worth it and it's great to support a TRUE neighborhood store ! Love this place so much that my mind constantly reminded me I have to stop and get these fab drink coasters next time I go back to NY (I'm from Jersey). Artsy placemats that draw the line before "dizzy", funny mugs, sexy drink books, writeable/eraseable drink coasters so partygoers/drunks can remember where there sh** is, wall/desk art that places you elsewhere in the world, candles & diffusers, animal kitchen accessories and more. It's chock full of wow. For those searching for a different kind of treasure, X has definitely marked this spot. Such a cute, jam-packed store with awesome household items. Everything has a cute touch, like sponge holders that are in the shape of animals, funky bathmats, and wonderfully smelling lotions. It's a bit cramped, but it's worth crouching down for adorable items. Great for housewarming or birthday gifts. Sadly, I was looking for a muffin baking tin, but they had none. Fantastic little card and unique gift store beats the likes of Hallmark and other big brand generic card stores. Easily the best place in midtown west for birthday, anniversary, occasion cards. Recommended. Delphinium is a much-needed and handy store to have in this neighborhood. It's relatively inexpensive and has something for everyone. We picked up picture frames for my sister and my parents at Hanukkah time, a rubber duck for my nephew and I was eyeing a shower curtain and a cool clock for myself. It is small but very eclectic, which I find to be a real time-saver when I shop. It's easy to take care of multiple gift needs here for a wide variety of people and still have a good time yourself. There is a tiny sale section in the back with things like candleholders, margarita glasses, salad bowls, etc. Thymes Products, Burts Bees, numerous tschotschkes...it's a gifty paradise. Everything from artsy male swimmer towel hooks to plants to canisters for the kitchen. I knew I could come here for quality and for unique items. They Have an eclectic and really cool collection of goodies! They also have a fantastic candle collection, and the best cards! The people that work here are super sweet and amazingly helpful. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It's chocked full of adorable stuff and it's a great place to buy gifts or a few things to compliment your pad. I come in to buy candles and incense, and usually end up picking up other items that I "need"--like this cute dangling battery-powered chandelier. I hope to buy several more so I can have a row of them dangling over my kitchen table, or maybe even over a bookshelf--their suggestion, of course;) (I must admit it's a good one!) Came here for a birthday present and card, and found so many things that were PERFECT! It's nice to have such a sweet little gift shop around the corner from such a touristy area. We had so much fun looking around at everything, from whimsical decor to eclectic toys, elegant candles, and a great assortment of cards. The only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because its a bit pricey, not that I blame them,their rent is probably sky high. But expect to spend a pretty penny in there, but totally worth it. This is my favorite neighborhood gift store. They have everything! I needed a box and some wrapping paper/bow/card for a gift and so this was the obvious choice as it's half a block from me. It's also the obvious choice because they have the most beautiful selection of gifts, candles, frames, etc. It's a great place to buy a nice birthday/anniversary, etc gift. I went in and on the off chance they sold them, asked for a box. The really friendly guy at the register found a box and made sure it fit and then gave it to me. So nice! I went and found the perfect gift wrap, they have a good selection of all different kids, picked up a card from their rather large collection, got some tissue paper and beautiful material to make a bow and then was off!
