This is the cutest shop of random Knick knacks!! It was highly recommended on social media go visit when I was searching for places to go to in New York. I love stores like this that offer a variety of random items that anyone is sure to enjoy or find something. Unfortunately I couldn't bring a lot of the ceramic plates or kitchen items home because I was worried they would break en route. However, they do offer shipping for a hefty fee. I also saw that they have a pet portraits section in the back. Sadly did not have enough time to get one but it looked so cute! I ended up buying an "F off" tote bag. Very funny and very New York. Such a fun shop! I saw a reel of Fish's Eddy right before coming to NYC and knew I had to stop in. They have a big variety of home decor, mainly kitchen furnishings and art. Since we were traveling across the country we did a lot more browsing than actual shopping, but we did end up taking home some glasses and a small piece of artwork. They offer $15 flat rate shipping, which is great for out of towners that want to take home lots of goodies. read more

I was overwhelmed while in this store because there were so many people in here. But, that's a good thing oddly. The products here are awesome. I loved all the different plates, flatware. Everything is priced well. There are other items inside like dish towels, cups, trinkets, bowls. I loved a lot of the pictures and photos/prints in frames. I never really had any communication with any of the employees. But I did see them interact with other customers and they were nice. A lot of them were hustling ringing up customers. There is grocery carts to help hold your potential purchases. Tucked in the back right corner there is a pet portrait studio. How stinking cute! We stumbled upon Fishs Eddy while in a walk. We walked in because the store looked cute and we were extremely pleased. Fish's Eddy has different assortments of plates/cups and other kitchen items. Our attention was drawn to a cute display of polka dot dinnerware which was cute! We night a few of the items. I will say that the items were pricey for my desire but the set was cute. What to get something original for yourself and/or your friends? This isn't your regular NYC souvenir shop and it's not cheap but it is great quality, funny as hell, and totally on brand. I learned about in on social media but friends of mine recommended it as well, so I had to check it out. So much fun stuff in a smaller space. The skyline dishes are really neat, makes a great gift to bring home. Fun mugs, dishes, books, towels, and some shirts. I did 2 rounds of the store and think I still missed stuff. Not pictured, the pigeon mug I got that says "fuck off", a great glass trinket dish, a glass coaster with a painted old school subway token, and a fork off kitchen towel. If you pass by, Fishs Eddy looks like a random antique corner store, but upon closer look into the window, there's actually lots more to it inside! I really like this spot even if it's just to peruse. Tons of punny, unique, and quirky home items and stationary throughout the store. I'm sure you can find more affordable prices elsewhere, but the character of the store is what justifies the prices. I ended up buying a very durable and sizeable tote for $27, including tax, which is a standard price for a fun tote. Friendly staff + you can tell the store is family-owned. This place is so legendary NYC to me. I love popping in and seeing all the lovely NYC homages in various formats - plates, mugs, dish towels, prints and many unexpected surprises. My fav item from this store is my spoon rest which looks like a guest check from a restaurant/ diner. They have good quality items at a little above average prices. I bought a tin watercolor set with a brush for $16. I look for this brand on Poshmark too and have been able to find a few pieces. Their political stuff is always on point as well. I stopped by to get a gift card except I was very disappointed and dumbfounded by today's experience. Their "gift card" is not a physical card. In fact, it's a QR code that prints out in a receipt paper. Which means 1. With some heat, and over time, your "gift card" becomes useless 2. It's not even a durable paper that it's very easy to rip, another way to become useless 3. Many thermal paper receipts contain endocrine-disrupting chemicals like bisphenol A (BPA) and bisphenol S (BPS). These chemicals can be absorbed through the skin and are linked to health issues including reproductive problems, obesity, and potentially even certain types of cancer. Gift cards are meant to be gifted. I wanted to give something presentable, not some QR code printed on thermal paper. When I asked for a gift card, the employee did not let me know about this and I only found out AFTER I made $150 purchase. $150 as in QR CODE ON THERMAL PAPER. RIDICULOUS. read more

Wow.. over 6 years ago I wrote a review how disappointed I was with Fish's Eddy. The disappointment has grown even worse. I guess the rent on 19th and Broadway has skyrocketed because the prices in this store are outrageous and not worthy of anyone's dollar. First off, their offerings are so boring, so lackluster I just don't know who is buying from here? Those hand figurines, c'mon you've carried these for thirty years! Who is buying this? The same Brooklyn Bridge dishes, towels, bags.. only thing different is the price tag. A small white cup is $5. The Ball jars that used to cost $3 are now $10, a shot glass is $6.95?? The " pigeon" prints for Brooklyn areas??? What is this??! Second, your store has no life, no vibe. You used to be kitschy and offer cool stuff. You call mint tins shaped like guitars worthy of $10? Lastly, you have no service in your store. Your employees seem " busy" doing what? Pricing items at the cash wrap? No greeters no nothing. Crate and Barrel, offers better quality merchandise and they are across the street from you. I hate to predict it, but, they are probably going to run you out of business. They can cater to nearby restaurants better than you if restauranteurs are buying caseloads of "mismatched" plates or the section marked " we know these plates are not pretty"!!!???? Hate to say it but something fishy is happening here and it's not pretty. So sad... read more

We shopped at Fishs Eddy on Tuesday August 19, 2025! The shop was busy, with many people looking about! We had a list of items which we found and placed in our basket! We went to checkout and decided to pay the flat rate shipping instead of carrying our wonderful haul around Manhatta. We purchased glasses, egg cups, spoons, water whistles, a Fox mug, tea towels, and a beautiful Manhattan skyline bowl! It got to our home the day after we got home and was packaged perfectly with all biodegradable products! We hit this store every time we are in the city! I grew up in Chelsea visiting the location there on weekends after going to see a movie at the Cineplex next door. I remember when I went away to college and got my first apartment, I excitedly put in an online order. I couldn't afford much so I just bought one or two of some cute trinkets. I received a phone call from the owner or some higher up who accused me of being a Chinese counterfeiter because of my last name. I'm Korean, first of all, and there's no such Chinese last name that's spelled the way mine is. That's embarrassingly blatant racial profiling, second of all. And the vast majority of items on sale in that store are remnants or cast from stock slipcasting molds, nothing exceptional enough to be worth counterfeiting, third of all. It's been years but I will never forget that phone call. He really doubled down after I spoke to him in perfect English and explained that I wasn't even Chinese. What a gross person, what a gross store. My father owned a graphic design business just a couple of streets over and I'd lived on 20th nearly my entire life. Super cute kitchenware store that I never knew existed! I was waiting for my lunch date to arrive and with time on my hands, stumbled in because why not. I love serving ware and practically horde the stuff. I feel like the designs here tend to be more on the novelty side with illustrations or sassy words, but they do have your classic plain ceramic and porcelain plates as well. I ended up purchasing a small teapot and matching serving plate with it. Prices are average. The staff are very responsive and were able to answer my questions. They also have a pet portrait corner!
