Now there are several locations and even sold in department stores. Last Sunday, Sniffapalooza held an event there. Karen Dubin welcomed attendees to browse through the collection and purchases could be bought with a nice discount. Jared, the store manager of both this and the Nolita location along with Amaya and Austin greeted guests with morning refreshments (the banana bread was particularly tasty!) and descriptions of the products. I have been buying this line for a number of years and was thrilled that finally the Otto candle was now in a smaller size at $25. This candle is fragrant with rose and geranium and wafts through a room leaving a feeling of being in a garden. I bought one and a small leather candle with a roll on oil. Despite the rain, several people attended.

The weather was nice and I decided to check out Turnstyle Underground.  While mostly closed due to the lateness of the hour, we (my youngest, lets call her "Sparrow") encountered a kiosk surrounded by group of people who were animatedly fawning over the glass jars of scented oils, soaps and skin care items on offer. They were listening intently to the utterings of the rather chatismatic gentleman whose passion for his products were palpable. His name is Yoav. He was friendly and accommodating and knew these products very well because, he and his wife makes them.  His products are handmade,100% ORGANIC products and he isn't shy about letting you know exactly whats in each product, which is AWESOME.  SWEETWATER LABS has this eucalyptus shower melt that smells AMAZING and can clear your sinuses or create that spa feel in your own bathroom. Sparrow chose the Sunshine Serum for her big sister, which is for spots and blemishes. This daughter, let's call her "Dayne", reports she notices some of the hyperpigmentation is slowly fading. She understands its a process but is happy with the results thus far. I bought 2 of his organic perfumes...Rose and Jasmine. They're beautifully packaged and smell really good. The scent lasts, and a little goes a long way. Stop by and check them out. I am DEFINITELY going back to get the eucalyptus shower melts!

Havent been in a long time!…read more I loved buying their products and scents growing up. The rose collection smells so nice. There was a small sale table that's 75% off. It ends tomorrow though. I ended up purchasing a soap off the table for $2.44 after taxes. Staff was kind to assist. Love how some of their packaging got upgraded. Great for yourself or gifts. Always deals and sales.

You can always pretend it is. I like Covered in Roses a lot as it stays true to form by not changing the fragrance. I still have the body wash and body mist that I use daily. The lotion finished and so I am trying out the new rose offerings. Each of these is in body mist, wash, lotion and perfume spray. Did I mention candles? Now candles are also made. Imagine an apartment filled with rose perfume and far less expensive than fresh roses.

Located on Bleecker (across from Salt Hank, if you want to be specific) Wick and Pour gives candle making classes daily. Note- It is BYOB! When you arrive you can go to the scent wall and pick the ones you want for your candle. I went with the fig because it was heavenly! We then went step by step to make the candles. It was almost reminding me of chemistry class in high school, with all the equipment we used! We had a wonderful time! Would definitely go back.

You also choose the candle holder and color of the wax. It is bring your own bottle so that's always fun. They do provide the cups for you. It's just very cutesy very demure. I think I was expecting a more interactive experience. It is a very simple pour rack. Stir your color. Pour the wax into your candle holder and wait. Nothing too extravagant, but it is a cute daytime activity.
