This Macy's has never disappointed me. All of the staff are always super friendly. I hate going to places where they make. You feel guilty for not buying things? But this place is very cool. They give you samples, they ask you questions, and overall they're just pretty cool. Very laid-back. You can tell they value their customers. Or future customers :) Also great selections. The customer service I experienced today was beyond disappointing, it was downright unacceptable, especially for the holiday season. I walked in right after work, in the same mall I work in, hoping to pick up a last-minute gift. Instead, I was met with a dismissive attitude from a sales rep (tall skinny kid, curly hair stated he's a cheerleader to some customers ) He couldn't even be bothered to look up a price. He looked at me, and said "I don't know it doesn't have a label, but it's expensive probably couple hundred dollars" He then turned around and went to help someone else.He made assumptions based on how I looked and then just walked away without helping. This kind of treatment is absolutely absurd. As a loyal Macy's customer who's spent plenty over the years, I can't believe the lack of basic respect and effort. If this is how Macy's treats people during the holiday rush, they've lost not just a sale, but a customer for good. I walked right away and went to Victoria Secret and bought cologne from their men's department. Yes they sell cologne as well, if you didn't know and reading this. Oh and spent almost $300.00 there, So I think a couple hundred would have been doable to that sales rep. read more

Did an online order pick up. Was happy with the quick service. Their online system however isnt the best. I needed 2 items of the same thing and online it advised not enough in stock. When I went to store, they had several more in stock. Monet, who assisted was incredible and apologized about the online glitch, unfortunately it happens often. Hopefully the system improves online. Glad I was able to get the same on sale deals at the store as I did online. read more

Francisco the "assistant to the manager" was hostile and didn't allow another associate to assist me as requested. He had a ridiculous power trip. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is open and available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing some stuff from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour (duh). They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is massive since it is located inside a mall. Lots of parking spots for you to choose from. Take your pick. My five stars is for Cindy at the Lancôme counter in the mall. Her service and recommendation as also her selections and etiquette made me and my Mom feel at home. As for the selection and value it was truly worth it. When my Mom had concerns about her skin regime she took her time to go through every product that the Lancôme line has and made sure that it matches well with my Moms skin texture. My Mom has dry skin and I have normal to combo skin so I never thought I would have a Lancôme product that suits my skin too. With Shiseido being at an expensive price and their old sunblock formula that had a foundation kind of consistency discontinued,my Mom and I recommend Lancôme's face wash and line itself. If you have concerns about your facial regime and you need consultations and very detailed information and advice on what to purchase from Lancôme for your facial regime to makeup then Cindy is the perfect choice for all your concerns and recommendations. I came here after work to quickly pick up a gift I ordered online since I'm in a rush. I selected curbside pick up. I and clicked on directions from the Macy's link for curbside pick up. I was repeatedly led to the mall entrance by Hikari Sushi so I continued to circle around waiting for a Macy's employee with my purchase when after my third time circling, my order was updated to "completed". I saw the sign pointing the other direction so I went to the opposite end of the corner but there were no signs at the door or near the entrance marked as "curbside pick up here" or any parking spots marked for "curbside pick up". I again trusted the navigation from the Macy's email that led me to Hikari. After 15 of this bu/$&#t, I finally found parking by the food court and walked into the mall for pick up. Not only does it say to proceed to the second floor but I found out that the curbside pick up is at the OPPOSITE END of the mall on the first floor. Please fix this. I feel bad for Macy's. They really need to renovate and update their products. I don't normally shop here and decided to take a look around... I get that they have an older target audience but they'll be dead soon and then what? Everything is so ugly and orthopedic looking. I know that's not an adjective but you know exactly what I mean. I had a great experience shopping here about a week ago. Emily helped me at checkout and was very knowledgeable while signing me up for the Macy's credit card. She explained all of the benefits, how to earn them, and even gave me future sales information on what's happening in the store. She answered all of my questions with a smile and patience. Located in the Montebello Mall and plenty of parking available. It's nice to window shop and take a walk around inside without buying anything. Let's start with the sales; Macy's does have great sales and customer rewards, every time my wife or I made a purchase, we got a discount coupon, only because the store was closing we had to stop buying Customer service and friendliness was 'GREAT'. We experienced the most wonderful checkout from the Ladies at the Cosmetics & Men's Fragrances departments, they went above and beyond explaining the Macy's reward program. Thank you for taking the time! The 'bad', I got a GREAT Ralph Lauren suit, BUT I had to go around the Men's department asking for assistance, there was nobody on the suit section, I would think that's where the money is, men suit don't come cheap!! I went to the Macy's at the Montebello town center yesterday to take advantage of the year-end mattress sale. I wanted an $1100 Beauty Rest on sale for about $400. The salesman refused to sell it to me. Told me I was throwing my money away, and if I wanted to spend that kind of money, I should go to Big Lots down the street , that Macy's was a high-end store for high-end customers. I left to report him to a manager, who said she would take to him and gave me $25 in Macy's bucks. I was at Macy's Montebello, CA this afternoon, Sat, 4/29/23, and my little daughter wanted Gucci Floral, pink one, and the associate for Gucci said she'll give me a sample of the blue one, Jasmine smell. She gave to the lady that could ring me up. I asked the one that rang me up if my sample was there, and she showed me. She was acting strange, took a while to ring me up too. Gave me my bag. I've had a Macy's credit card for longer than I can remember. I always pay my bill on time, so your change in APR does not affect me directly. However, as a matter of principle, I will no longer use the card. The rate is usury and impacts people of lower income. Why claim to be a good citizen who supports charities, only to implement credit practices that negatively impacts the people whom you claim to support. I was purchasing some shoes from Finishline and Macy's Montebello today the marked price was $45 for the shoes the young man that was helping me said he could not charge that price because they were $60 and conversed with a female sales person. She continued to tell me she could not charge of the price of the shoes said because it was wrong and I told her by law she hast to charge me that price but it was OK I would go ahead and pay the $60. I want to give an honest and unbiased review. Trying not to give bad reviews (so 2 stars). I understand working in retail and customer service is hard especially during a pandemic. Thank you for your hard work and risking your health during this difficult time. I know you are trying and don't have many workers helping. So here is my experience for curbside pick up. I waited 45 mins for my package. Isn't 45 mins a bit too long? I tried to pick up at the store and was 2nd person to be next. However, I didn't want to wait because there was only one worker (I felt bad for her) and there's quite a few people waiting in line. So I switched to curbside. Long story short-- At first I waited 30 minutes, with one girl doing curbside who constantly checks on me. First she asked for my QR code, then asked if I'm still waiting, then later tells me she can't find my item and is looking for it. Everyone came after me all got their items and left. And here I am waiting 15 more minutes --patiently and being very nice about it. After 15 mins passed I went inside the store and they found my package. read more
