Whatever happened to Macy's?? The atmosphere has taken a deep dive into Ross Stores! Clutter everywhere, no sales clerks in sight, can't find the dressing rooms! It does not feel like a high end store anymore, very sad!!! read more

Jamila at the MAC counter of Lakeline Mall is amazing! She is so helpful, knowledgable, and friendly. She went above and beyond to help my daughter with her first makeup buying experience. She even checked in with us the morning of the dance to see if my daughter had any questions or needed any FaceTime help! Truly the best customer service experience ever. Thank you Jamila! read more

I've gone three times to try and buy a foundation at both Estée Lauder & Clinique & meanwhile the women that work there were standing talking to each other can't even notice me only 3 feet away... can't even say "Hi I'll be with you in a minute". If you're trying to find the right shade on a foundation DO NOT go here. read more

The only reason I gave it 1 star is because I could not give it 0. Sad place that has gone SO downhill. For starters, you are hit with a MOLD smell that is so strong that you have to cover your nose, even by the cosmetics. I finally moved away from that to look over the Suits and Jackets and they had some great stuff that I wanted to buy. We looked for 15 minutes for someone to be available. The fitting room was also as disgusting. Smelled horrible and had traces of water on the carpet that has not been changed for over 40 years. I am not kidding. All we needed is a cashier and could not find anyone that worked there. The entire place DESERTED. Not 1 person was working in the men's department (at 5:15 PM on Saturday). NOT ONE!. After waiting, nearly everyone were leaving the place and leaving behind a stack of clothes as no one was available to check them out. I really wanted why I had chosen just because I ran out of time to go to Dillard's or another place. We finally found 1 person in the Kitchenware that checked us out. We let her know of our experience and of course, she could not care less. NCR Cash Registers with Composite Monitors - found in MUSEUMS now - are being used at Macy's TODAY! I am not kidding. We did end up buying - everyone else aborted. THIS IS WHY THESE PLACES ARE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS. Many of us love to shop at a store, where we can try things and feel it and make sure it fits correctly, before we buy. You can't do that online. Not without waiting days and returning and trying more... I don't have 2 weeks. Not the most pleasant experience at Macy's. How disappointing. Bring your Scuba outfit when you get in so that the mold smell does not suffocate you. read more

MESSY MACY'S: I was looking for some new unusual sheet ideas, so I decided I would try Macy's. It has been many years since I shopped in Macy's because they rarely have checkout clerks / people. Well, things have gotten, worse not better. The aisles and merchandise were not organized -- everything scattered about. Walmart shelves are more organized than this Macy store. (AND it takes only 15 minutes to organize the shelves). ............ Regarding any sheet ideas: NOTHING! There are much better designs at Kohl's, Dillard's, or Target............ What a shame, Macy's used to be the largest, most amazing store in the world. Then their VP dummies over-expanded, went bankrupt, and now are just struggling in all cities. What a terrible way to end such a rich heritage. read more

Fabulous because they have a MAC cosmetics counter. Not fabulous because the employees who work there are cold, marginally helpful, and catty and will openly bicker in front of customers about who gets commission for "helping you." Otherwise this Macy's is less nice than most others I've visited. If you can, go to the Domain. read more

Manager , Devon, showed his lack of managerial skills when he chastised one department for directing customers to his department for assistance. Way to be a team player on Black Friday Devon....NOT! And remember that customers see how you react and mumbling "This is not acceptable " as you pass a line of people shows your lack of professionalism. Why not help out instead of chatting it up behind the counter Mr. Manager? read more

OK after looking around at other places for a matrices, I went back to Macy's on Sunday and got service right away and I bought a new one. All is well. Macy's stores have clean white tile and everything is neat and clean! read more

Return policy on "Last Act" is only 30 days. Purchase an item that was not marked Last Act and they would not return as sales receipt had an A on it. As a customer it is our responsibility to understand their receipt. I think not! Had to argue with sales lady just to get a credit slip. Went to speak to store manger. Out to lunch! Left my # and have yet to get a call. Macy's has a 180 return policy on everything else. FYI- Last Act has made Macy's look more like a Ross then the fine deptment store of the past! read more

Sign on the door says they close at 9:00 a PA announcement comes over that they close at 8:00. I got there at 7:45 to pay my bill. Went back to do some shopping and at 7:55 they said they were closed that it was 8:00, and turned out the lights!!! I can't believe that they would turn out the lights before 8:00 when their door says they close at 9:00!!! I can't believe how many people there are coming out of a dark store!! I guess this one will be closed soon too!!!!! read more

Two stars only because I generally like Macy's. But the service is bad. I will not return. Managers should understand the lifetime value of good customer service. read more

ZERO STARS!! Customer service IS DEAD at this store! Rather than apologize for bad customer service, management was sorry THAT I FELT upset.....really? Not sorry that your employees gave me horrible customer service, just sorry that I feel upset by it!. Management obviously doesn't get that if you piss off customers, THEY SHOP ELSEWHERE. JUST SAD! Back to Dillards for me!!! read more

This place is almost like a museum in the sense that it's A. in a mall and B. depending on what you're looking for, the selection appears to be like 5 years old. I've never had a negative experience though I had some dumb stuff that can happen anywhere. The mens shoe section is pathetic. Like, seriously pathetic. Sadly, if you want a good selection of clothing, shoes, etc, go to The Domain *if you dare* or Barton Creek. I always thought that the Corpus Christi store was sad, this one is pretty meh too. read more

I ordered a item online for same day pick at store in the homes department. The cashiers were so rude and unprofessional. Purchased a MK purse w/Vicky awesome sales woman, very helpful. Less then 2mths thread around the straps unraveled. Went back to see what can be done. Having been a loyal Macy's customer since childhood, I'm saddened to see a quiet, dead Macy's during the holidays. Hoping this isn't a sign of things to come. The rudest cashiers ever! Not even trying to be friendly, especially the woman with the British accent. If you go to her register, pick up your stuff and find another person to pay. There is a bright spot.....think back to Thanksgiving morning when you're watching the Macy's Parade...that keep me coming back. One of the managers, Devin, is a great guy, tries hard and is doing his best to save this sinking ship. Dillard's will steal him away soon. C'mon Macy's, try to be the best again! Changed the hours, different hours are posted at the mall. Very disappointing and kind of a waste of my time. They need to change whats physically posted at the mall, why would they randomly start closing an hour before the mall closes? read more

What a horrible customer service they have don't even think about coming here I was waiting by the changing rooms and a costumer asked for the keys to the handicapped fitting room she was older had a hard time walking the associates looked at her and told her they don't have the key and made her walk all the way across the store to another fitting room. They didn't call any one try to check or anything they didn't move from their registers to even help out the poor lady. This is sad someone would treat someone like this. read more

Ummm does anyone work here. If you need assistance or even a cashier there isn't one to be found.

Wow...The customer service here is simply awful. Not one of the 2 employees in the junior department bothered to ask if we needed any help nor to assist us when we inquired about pricing. We were sent to "the rack" to look at the tag price. The dress we like was not tagged so we asked for help and nothing. I sat in the fitting room and they just walked by me ...still not bothering about customer service. I will never come back to this place. Awful awful " consumer" service. read more

Not sure what has happened to Macys at Lakeline but it's really starting to look more like an upscale Walmart. Stuff is always thrown everywhere, it always looks trashy and the styles and quality of their brand has just seemed to go downhill. I hate even going in there unless I just have to. The one at the Domain is a little better but maybe it's because ask the other cool things there make it seem better. Can't wait for that new Nordstrom's!!! read more

In a 30 year old Hispanic woman. I look like a teenager, but I'm not. So we went though bedding to get to the rest of the mall. So I see 2 different down comforters. So I lay on the bed with my shoes no where near the bed. This old withe lady that works there said rudely to get off. I look at her and was like your serious. She said yes. I told her I'm no kid I was trying it out to see if I want. I told her I see other people doing it and nothing gets siad. I really thought I was racially discriminated in Macys. and they discuss me and lost my business forever. read more

I will always choose Dillard's over Macy's but this Macy's is a joke. Every time I go in the men's department, the sale people (especially one particular old guy near the cuff links and shirts) has the attitude of, "ugh, can't wait till I get off work". It's not my fault he didn't save for retirement and hates his job. I was in there a couple weeks ago looking in the shoe department and...ghost town, no sales person...for 15 minutes. So naturally I left. It's not a one-time thing; this Macy's is consistently weak. Macy's in the Galleria in Houston, yes! Great example of a department store but Lakeline Macy's is like the red-headed-stepchild. read more

I will be surprised it the store is open next year. You can not find help from anyone. There are no registers open. Only descent service in shoes. If the are trying to push long term customers away it is working. More pleasant to shop online. read more

We recently purchased a sectional sofa from here. We approached the salesman and asked him about the sectional. He filled us in on the details and even mentioned a sale beginning the next day. I knew the guy was legit because he told us he wasn't even working the next couple days, so the "Hey, there's a sale starting tomorrow" sales ploy was for real. So my boyfriend and I went home that night without a couch with the intention of shopping around making sure we were getting the best price. After a couple days of internet surfing and visiting some other furniture retailers, we realized Macy's sectional was by far and away the best quality for the price. We went back and visited with John. He answered all of our questions and made buying our couch super easy. It's been a couple of weeks, due to the couch we wanted being back ordered, but we received our furniture today. The delivery was right on time. The delivery men were awesome, very nice, very professional. We absolutely love our new couch. The employees at Macy's did a great job making this a painless process and I got the couch I wanted at a great price! read more

1 star for the MAC counter. Every time I give them a try, it's a joke. Take the extra time to drive to the Domain. It's worth it.

What the heck has happened to Macy's. Been a customer for years but lately it has really junked- up. The store has been a mess the last several trips, poor quality clothing, no floor customer service. Will not be back, cut my card. Very Sad, use to be my go-to store, not any more. read more

My husband bought me a $375 Tissot Bella Ora watch on 9/4/18 in the online Macy's store. When I opened it on my birthday 9/20/18, it was not working. We took it to the Macy's at Lakeline Mall and were told it would cost us to have it repaired because it was purchased in April. In fact, the online store had transposed the date. So, the Lakeline store sent it off for a new battery and said there would be no cost. I come to pick it up today, and I am told my a salesperson that I would be charged $51. While she was calling the manager, another salesperson asked me what was going on. I started explaining the situation, and the original salesperson came and angrily confronted me saying that she cleared it with the manager to zero the balance. The other salesperson could see I was upset and called the manager to talk to me. The original salesperson kept insisting the manager was already contacted. I am upset not only because of the money, but because my birthday was ruined, the date was transposed, and then I had the added stress of thinking I was going to be charged for something that did not work new out of the box! A third salesperson started claiming the same thing, that there was no need to call the manager. Customer service was poor at every opportunity. And I have NEVER been told by a salesperson that I could not talk to a manager! This is crazy. I will NEVER shop at any Macy's again. I have uninstalled the Macy's app on my phone. I was planning to buy a comforter set today AND a ring I saw at the jewelry counter, but I changed my plans upon being treated this way. My advice to potential customers: STAY AWAY! If I had the option of 0 stars, I would have chosen it! read more

If I could give Macy's a negative star rating, it would be -100. Easily. I've never bought from Macy's before, but I recently purchased a CalKing mattress for a brand new house I just bought, and due to budget and mattress sizing had some limited options. Macy's had a very nice set in this store that luckily came in CalKing - well made, but not overdone, and it was on sale at the time - my best option considering my budget. However, I had to special order it on the web, as the salesman at this location couldn't order it (said it was only available at Macy's West Coast). I ordered the bed frame, nightstand, and media chest. Anyway, I order the furniture, it's on backorder due to the nightstand out of stock...so I had to wait for two months. Life goes on, I get my other furniture for my new house, and finally the day arrives last week when my bedroom set is scheduled to be delivered. It was an unmitigated, utter disaster. The five-star delivery crew arrived - they were professional and courteous. Notice I didn't say competent - nice will only get you so far. The very first piece of my bedroom set walked in the door, and promptly went right into my ceiling, leaving a large mark and a small dent on my wall. Did I mention this is a brand new house, built in the last six months? Well, accidents happen, and I have touch up paint, so while I was pretty upset, I let it go...until I hear another bang, and realize the second piece has come up the stairs and hit my brand new railing. Stlll, taking a deep breath, realizing they have no respect for my property but letting it go since I want this furniture I've waited so long for...I walk back into my home office so they can try to finish up their job. They get the bed installed, bring up the media chest and dresser, everything looks good on the surface, bed looks solid...I bid them goodbye, as they were very nice and seemed professional in spite of the stress they were inflicting, and breathed a sigh of relief. Then, new furniture! I start to clean up my furniture - the crew wore no gloves, they left greasy hand prints all over my dark wood furniture. It was only then that I notice the following: 1) there are scratches in the veener on the nightstand; 2) the nightstand drawer on the left side isn't even attached to the rest of the piece, and doesn't shut correctly - it leans down on the left hand side; 3) the installer did not hook up the charging unit in the drawer (maybe because...the drawer is broken); 4) the media chest top drawer is also broken in a similar manner as the nightstand - the left side rail doesn't seem to be installed correctly, and therefore doesn't shut correctly. I. was. livid. $2200+ dollars for crap service, crap furniture, and crap installation. I have called Macy's customer service and an exchange will occur for the nightstand and media chest...next Friday, after waiting for two months for mostly broken pieces to arrive. I am so angry about this, I feel completely cheated by Macy's, and any tenuous trust I may have had is now in the negative digits. In addition - this morning I notice my left bed rail is on upside-down - the finished side is on the bottom, and the unfinished on the top. The other side is installed correctly. I had to will myself not to have an aneurism. I have no faith, ZERO faith, that the replacement pieces will arrive without damage. But I am a pawn in this little replacement game, at the mercy of other's incompetence and lack of respect. This is my first and last time I will ever, ever buy from Macy's. Ever. Forever. They can replace and fix the furniture, but Macy's just lost my business forever, along with my boyfriend's and immediate family, as they are just as disgusted as I am. read more

We went to the mall on a Sunday not realizing it does not open until noon. So we walked around Macy's for an hour. The employee we spoke with was very nice and informative. My wife ended up finding a watch she had been looking for there. Price was a lot more reasonable then the jewelry stores would of been. As with all customer service it just depends on who you deal with. We had a good shopping experience today. One a side note, there are really good discounts for Macy's on Retailmenot.com or the App. read more

I shop Macy's online all the time. I can find a lot of things and there's always a sale; however, once in a while something doesn't work for me so I have to return it. The closest one to me is at Lakeline Mall. I noticed the last couple of times I went there it's looking pretty junky! I go through the women's area and the cash register area reminds me of Ross or some other cheap store the way they have you in a line queue with all the impulse buys surrounding you. The whole store could use a good update - that green carpet is ugly! read more

Customer Service needs major improvement . I love Macy's because of the brand names they carry so I go to this Macy's 2-3 times a month since its the closest one to my home. Mostly every time I shop here, workers don't greet me even when I'm checking out. Do you call this acceptable customer service? Ive been to other Macy locations and never had that kind of treatment on a consistent basis. I hope management can take a look at these reviews and find solutions to this problem because it's not fair that we need to put up with poor Customer service while paying more for higher end goods read more

Do not buy furniture here. Their "worry no more" is pure BS. Their warranty will find every way possible to NOT cover anything wrong with their cheap quality fabric and couch. While their sales people are nice, they do not have any authority to help. After countless phone calls and emails you will be left with nothing but a crappy couch. read more

This Macy's is one of the smaller Macy's in the valley. The young men's department is quite small for the market in Tracy. I think Tracyites have the means to support such a store if they provided more of the top end goods you find at other Macy's in Pleasanton, San Jose, SF even Modesto, Stockton. The problem is that Macy's has no real competition in the Tracy area. Let's pull in a Nordstrom or Dillards and then maybe Macy's will get the hint. Why 3 stars? Because we now have a Macy's in town. It is simply Gottschalks with a name change. read more

Dont waste your time going to this location. Every single time I forget and end up here, I could have gone to any other Macys in town and still save time. Clothes are disorganized and they never have your size unless that is you admire the fuscia blazer which they have 40 of. Even worse is the shoe department. They have all of about three brands, unless you are referring to the island of misfit toys they have of returned outcast shoes. Finally, with all of the above pleasantries, you can get a nice, fresh attitude from the shoe salesguy like I received today. Save your time and peace of mind and go elsewhere. read more

For years my wife and I have loyally been customers of Macy's, specifically the Lakeline location. We have always purchased all of our perfume and cologne from here due to the spectacular service and knowledgeable staff. After today, we will no longer be shopping here. My wife and I came in with a shopping list of fragrances we wanted to try, fragrances we had looked up on Amazon (with no intention of buying online) we were prepared to purchase any and all of the ones we liked on the spot. However the lady at the counter, whom never even introduced herself clearly assumed that because we had Amazon open on our phone that we were just "wasting her time" and she clearly let us know how she felt about that. She dropped a tray of perfume on the counter in front of my wife, with no tester strips and told us that she "Had to get back to paying customers" Holy crap, I've never been so insulted in a store! When my wife finally picked out a scent she liked "Flower bomb" we had to literally chase her down to ask for one to purchase. Her response was "That's $165.00 here" AND WALKED AWAY! We were prepared to purchase not just that one, but one other that my wife liked, and one for myself...instead we took our business elsewhere. We have spent thousands of dollars at just the fragrance counter at Macy's, we were prepared to spend another several hundred today. Instead we will never set foot in any Macy's ever again. I have never been disrespected at a business like that before. Totally unacceptable customer service! read more
