I never write reviews but after reading a couple negative ones from this specific location, I was hesitant to shop here. But I just want to say my experience was great. My family and I had the pleasure of being greeted and helped by Terrie, she did not have a problem at all calculating certain percentages off of many different items we considered. I originally went in for a purse for myself but she was so persuasive and kind, she talked my husband into getting a small purse for my six year old. I feel like a lot of businesses take advantage of military families by overselling or throwing unnecessary attitude but she simply thanked my husband for his service and made sure we knew to ask the cashier to apply the military discount to our purchase. Would definitely shop here again if I see her working. read more

Maybe it's the fact that it is less crowded and therefore you receive more personalized service. You are treated like a VIP whether you are purchasing a big-ticket item or something that is steeply marked down. Ughhhhhh the outlet of coach. So I will start by saying I used to rock coach in high school when it was cool lol and had been OFF of it for a while. In comes Coach x Jean Basquiat and I was curious.....I passed on the bags for a while because I was torn about the intention of the collab (like would Basquiat really want his mark on a coach bag????) anywho, I finally gave in after my cousin said the bags were on sale online through the coach outlet website. Fast forward, I bought a bag and it's GORGEOUS and I am happy with it! I happened to be in Austin visiting family and had the audacity to stop in this location to see what other unique lucky finds I could come across. I just so happened to have my collab bag with me. I was instantly and pseudo-warmly greeted by an older Asian lady who informed me of their current sales and the such. Nice. She of course noticed my beautiful bag. She encouraged me to have a look around and let her know if I had any questions. This is where it got kind of "icky." A younger Caucasian lady, who was in the front I am assuming, literally became my shadow. She dropped whatever she was doing, and suddenly needed to tidy up the bags in the area I was in. Now, I get retail and I'm sure Becky was super concerned about making my shopping experience stellar (j/k, Becky was scared I was gonna steal). This is so off putting to me because it always comes off as racially based and profiling. I had a question about a bag and walked to find the lady who initially greeted me. As I walked toward the front, I overheard the stalker worker tell another associate "I'll help you, she's not in the back anymore." So I kindly, put the bag back and left the store. I just can NOT and due to my personal experience, my view of the brand is marred once again. read more

When my wife sat on Santa's lap, all she mentioned was that she wanted a Coach purse for the "collection". And, being smart, Santa knew that meant leather. Plain black leather... So, a trip to the "real" Coach store at the Domain (cross-referenced against a stop at Tory Burch with my shopping partner in crime, which ended up being more a shoe-related [well, technically a bootie-related] stop, and Burberry, which ended up causing me to have a price-related seizure) brought me a benchmark structured handbag. Just for funsies, my shopping buddy and I decided to brave the drive to the Outlet. And like so many others report here, we were instantly greeted with a "50% off total purchase" coupon. Now, I wouldn't let price totally dictate what I'm purchasing. I WOULD NEVER SACRIFICE WHAT WOULD MAKE MY WIFE COMPLETELY HAPPY JUST TO SAVE A COUPLE BUCKS (is what I keep telling myself) (and I'll put here in case she ever reads my reviews). I can't fault Coach that "this year's fashion" is more gold hardware, and not the silver/platinum look my wife prefers. The top choice from both the Domain store and the Outlet were both "light gold" hardware (which can look silver in the right light [i.e. almost complete darkness], and if you squint). The difference between the two bags is the Domain version's zipper pulls had suitcase-style clasps to hold them closed if you want (which I knew would go unused, and instead just make a click-click-click noise as we walked along), and the main center section was actually split into two sections in the Outlet version, which would work better for my wife. The bonus? For less than the same price as just the handbag at the Domain, we walked out of there with a coordinating wristlet, and a wallet (which would complement some of my wife's other handbags). The lady that helped us on the floor was amazing at digging through storage to find what we were looking for. The lady at checkout helped us maximize our discounts, and was very personable despite it being probably a war zone all day, two days before Christmas. Now, how do we convince Texas DPS to allow her to have several issued driver's licenses, so that she can avoid having to always swap stuff around when she wants a different look? 4.8 stars read more

I love this store for so many reasons. Their stock is always rotating. There are a variety of purses either on sale or clearance. There are always gift items under $50 that any friend would appreciate whether it be for a birthday, bachelorette party, bridal shower, Christmas, etc. present. They sell more than just purses - they have luggage, wallets and bags to choose from for men, cute coats, shoes, and TONS of accessories like iPad covers, make up cases, scarves, even contact lens holders! There is a sales associate that always stands out when I go here. She's a short little Asian woman (I know, I should really know her name by now) and she always knows where to point me. i lose my mind... I'm not really a purse girl. I'm not. don't even like to carry one. But put me in a Coach store and i lose my damn mind. Maybe it's hereditary, because the same thing happens to my mother. We go insane in the regular Coach store, put us in the outlet mall Coach store AND give us an extra 50% off on top of that?!!?!! oh hell, we practically need to be carted away to a padded room. I am not kidding when i tell you that we were in that store for almost 3 hours. It also helps that mommy is paying. Yes, i will happily let her go crazy in the Coach store and reap the benefits, ain't no shame in my game. All of the store employees were helpful and we had one dedicated person who kept steering my mother into all the right places. I am also not kidding you when i tell you i gave that helpful saleswoman a hug when we left. Mom and i got new purses and accessories and we even got some presents for other people! *see, we're not completely self absorbed in our craziness* The cute bf got an awesome belt. Everyone wins! I frequented this store more than I should have. Need I say more? Leigh was always very helpful and nice. If they have a coupon, there is someone handing it to you as you walk through the door now. (I used to have to print the coupons and it used a lot of ink.) The San Marcos location is bigger and have a wider selection but this location is just as good. read more

Always a deal - why buy online or in a store when you can go to the outlet? I like the outlet better than others because I have time to shop and not have people all over me fighting for bags. They also often have coupons that they are handing out that offer additional savings on top of what is already marked -- additional savings on already marked down clearance -- hell yeah! I go in regularly and pick up gifts for some of the other peeps in my life -- in laws, friends, co-workers -- and if you shop smart, you can get wonderful deals on great merchandise. At this store there are people available to help you, but they also give you space to shop and I have found that they are helpful in finding other items in back or in other parts of the store. Came here last month while visiting family in Texas and entered the store with my 10 year old niece. From the start, I saw an employee located directly across from the entrance who said absolutely nothing to greet us. We were in the store quite a while and it seemed like no employees were around or willing to help. We were near the same employee, who was across from the entrance when we entered, as there were items that I was inspecting near her. On three separate occasions, I noticed she had greeted older, caucasian women around my niece and I, but most definitely, not us. The moment where bias was most profound was when I was in the same area as two women of the aforementioned description. We were in close proximity to the said employee and she asked the other women within earshot if they needed assistance. For a moment I thought she was speaking to me and looked up to answer but noticed her attention focused on the women who were right next to my niece and I. For point of reference, I am not caucasian, I look younger than my age and I did not look like an out-of-towner. I only wonder why there were almost no locals of similar appearance in the store. What a shame that this is beyond poor customer service but biased selectivity. I went in there with the sole purpose of finding several gifts for others and did just that...almost regrettably. I expressed my concern to the cashier who was attentive, understanding and stated she would relay the message to higher ups. read more

Holy good deal batman! Came in on a whim to look for a new spring bag. They had 40% off with a handout coupon of an additional 50%!! Insanity! I found a bag that I loved, a pretty medium sized red handbag marked $400 with my coupon and the sale it was $130! My mom was shopping with me, and her birthday is later this month so I bought her a pretty cross body bag for $119! I love my bag. The leather is very soft and the bag seems to be good quality! I own multiple dooney and bourke bags, and a kate spade bag. I look forward to using my first coach bag. I would also like to mention that the sales people I'm coach were helpful without being smothering. When I needed a price they pulled out a calculator and helped. I don't know her name but she had a very thick accent and kept getting frustrated when SHE did not understand my perfect english. When I walked in, a guy at the front gave me a 20% off coupon. I walked up to the counter for an exchange & stood there for about 30 secs while two women carried on a personal conversation before noticing me. One of the ladies greeted me, and let me know how much I had to work with, so I shopped around for about 10 minutes, finding an overnight bag that was kinda cute. I picked it up to look at it and a meek lady came up and offered to check the price for me. I wasn't in love with the bag, so I decided to go home with store credit. A lady at the counter gave me store credit for the 3 items I brought back. One was from 8 months prior and the others from Christmas. This is one outlet store that truly is an OUTLET store. Like one write wrote- I dont always carry a bag but I sure do now. Absolutely great selection and prices!! My bag was 65% off then 30% off that. WOW!! But thats not the best part- the best part is the store manager, I think her name was Janae. She went over and beyond the customer service duty to get my bag in a different color out of state, then when that store messed up she fixed it. You rarely get great service like this anymore!!!
