What do I love about Cato Stores? The organization and selection. It is so easy to glance through the store with a variety of offerings without being so jam packed that you can't find anything. The grouping of colors and collections make it extremely easy to put together an outfit without wondering what will or won't match, even for the fashion-challenged like myself. I went in for one top that I had seen online and ended up walking out with 2 new pairs of jean capris and 3 new tops - all for less than I might spend on one outfit elsewhere. Whether you have 30 minutes or hours to spare, Cato is definitely worth a trip for something new and fresh.

They had a good mix of high-end and local brands I bought items from Hurley, Cole Haan, Johnston and Murphy, and the Nike outlet store. I didn't expect to shop so much, but the stores really had good stuff. Most stores had sales offers and prices were good, but they all had an 8% sales tax. We even found a store that had every item on sale for $2 each. Staff members in all stores were friendly and helpful. One annoyance was the small opening they had on the sun roof shades. Literally every chair next to one of those had bird poops. Some bird poop actually fell on my wrist, while I was standing under one of the openings. From that point, I was overly conscious of being near any of the chairs under the open sun roof.

The interior reminded me of those souvenir shops you'd find down by the coast where music is playing overhead and you're surrounded by bright colorful clothing from the floor to the ceiling. There's lots of men's, women's and children's activewear along with numerous accessories. You can also find some Austin souvenirs and T-shirts here as well. My wife walked around and found a pair of the shoes she brought in still on the rack. The woman told her that her name isn't coming up in the system and there is nothing she can do to help her. My wife showed her the receipt and the woman still refused to help and tried to keep the receipt. It clearly shows a date of 5/23 which is less than 30 days. I got the lemonade which was delicious, it tasted like there was a mango flavor in it too! There is also a corner of the house dedicated to the Haute Cafe where you can get work done.
