I never leave bad reviews, but my experience here yesterday was a nightmare. The staff at this location are usually high school kids, and the customer service usually isn't the best, but yesterday was a completely new level of bad. I ordered some jeans online for in store pickup. When I got there to pick them up I couldn't get help from any of the employees. Finally I waved a young guy down at the dressing room, but the young kid walked up to me, said hold on and pulled out his phone and started scrolling on his phone. I finally said " Excuse me I just need to pick up an order. He goes " Oh..." and just stood there continuing to scroll a bit longer before finally walking back to get my order. When he finally brought it back a few minutes later I told him I did need to try them on before I left, and asked for a dressing room. He said ok you're gonna have to wait. Mind you there was a cluster of people in line behind me waiting. I told him there was an empty dressing room right behind him, to which he just moved out of the way and stood there, before another girl finally walked up and opened the door for me before she rolled her eyes and walked away. I tried the jeans on, but sizing was way off. When I tried them on they fit like they were 2 sizes too big. The was the beginning of the teenage staff being beyond rude. While still in the dressing room I asked the same girl that let me in the dressing room if they had the jeans in stock in a smaller size. She asked zero questions, disappeared for a minute, came back and asked which ones they were again. Then stood there and stared at me like I was speaking a foreign language. I asked if she wanted to see the picture, and she said "sure" then proceeded to look it up on a tablet type thing. She didn't ask what size I needed and walked off again. Came back literally 10 seconds later and said " we don't have them..also you can't switch them out today you will have to come back tomorrow or something during another shift." When I asked why I needed to come all the way back another day she said " because we need 24 hours before we can switch them out for you they don't even show them in our system." Rolled her eyes again and walked away. Not sure how she looked them up in my size without asking for my size. I then proceeded to find them myself in my size. When I got to the front counter a different girl proceeded to check me out. I cannot explain how many times she just stared at me blankly after asking me a question and getting an answer or being asked a question. At one point I asked her about the 24 hour thing and she just stared at me for a very uncomfortably long time before shrugging her shoulders and saying idk but I can switch them. My encounter at this store was not only uncomfortable, and awkward but whoever is hiring the employees needs to reconsider the age requirement in which they are seeking out their employees. These kids obviously don't want to work, have no respect for anyone, and don't know how to provide customer service. The Gen Z stare I received from 2 employees yesterday was so uncomfortable I thought about asking both of them if they were ok. Definitely don't recommend this store until they get new employees, not to mention the store is always a mess in the front. Not sure what any of the employees actually do. read more

Located in the Round Rock Premium Outlet mall, this American Eagle Outfitters is quite large, well-stocked (i.e., has a lot of inventory in ALL sizes; not just XXS or XL) for both ladies and gents, and actually always has really good sales and clearance items available (unlike many other "outlet" stores). Cute, decent quality clothes, from boxer and socks all the way to accessories galore, and even fragrances, AEO offers a lot to choose from - all in one convenient spot. The young employees are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and do their best to keep the store well-organized. AEO must employ good managers and provide adequate training. This is my favorite place to buy jeans. They fit so well and just right. The customer service at this store is awesome too. During one of my recent visits, I had commented to the employee at checkout how nice the reusable bag was she was putting my merchandise into. She then offered me an extra one. After completely losing faith in most companies this year.. I wanted to try and do an exchange at American Eagle. I didn't get my hopes up because I've been dealing with Hibbet Sports for almost two months now and they have the worst customer service I've ever seen in my life!! First-I called and spoke to Hunter-what a kind and helpful young man. He told me sure come in and we'll get you taken care of. Well-I went to to do an exchange.. I would have been thrilled with that at least I would have something that I could actually wear. I was having a hard time finding what I needed so I ask a young girl for help. Her name is Kierstenn J. her cashier number is kj0283 and today's date is 12/11/20. This is literally one of the best experiences I've had with customer service! This young girl tried her absolute best to help me. We returned the jeans and she tried to order me several other different ones. No such luck though because every pair I tried to find was out of stock. Not her fault not mine. Then-she just ended up giving me a refund on something I never would have been able to wear. I ended up buying a shirt and signing up for the rewards program so we could keep track of my sales-lol. This young girl went above and beyond! With this being 2020 you just don't see it anymore so it was so refreshing. I left this store with a smile. I made sure to let her manager know but I also wanted to make sure I put her name on here as well too. I'm very impressed and well quite frankly she made my day!! Okay, first off I almost never write reviews but after the customer service I received today I felt the need to write this! I called to check if an item was in stock five minutes before closing, a young women answered the phone and asked if she could put me on hold. Of course I said sure and waited a few minutes . I figured they wanted to go home and we're busy trying to close up and so hung up. About 10 minutes later she called me back and asked what the item was and if I'd be interested in her holding on to it for the next day! I was so surprised at the high level of care and service I received. Over the years I felt that The RR outlets have gone down hill on so many levels but after this I just might have to start going back to support AEO in person more often! read more

I wish that I could click 0. I'm from out of town, and utterly disappointed in the service I received tonight at this American Eagle. No one greeted me or even asked me anything. First every single employee I saw was on their phone huddled up, I clicked the button and waited 10 minutes before I could try on jeans, and then when I was trying on jeans the a group of "women" employees came back to the dressing room area trying to decide 1. What that smell was and 2 who was gojng in the dressing room. They kept talking about this odor and even brought back the perfume. It seemed very clear they were talking about 1 of the 3 people in the dressing room. One girl even said, "I can't even stand the smell of this girl." "It smells like fish go get the perfume so we can spray her area" They were right out side her door and Continuing making fun of this customer. Even if someone doesn't smell the best. Be a good person and ignore it or wait till everyone has left. I wish I could have gotten names of these girl employees this is unacceptable. Do better American Eagle. read more
