During my visit, I was repeatedly ignored by floor associates, despite employees actively assisting other customers standing directly beside me. I was never acknowledged or offered help. This selective engagement was noticeable and deeply concerning, and it raised serious questions about unequal treatment in the store. Compounding this issue, a prior transaction was never clearly explained, which resulted in me losing $23.33 in Kohl's Cash. When I contacted Kohl's corporate customer service for clarification and resolution, the experience was equally unsatisfactory. The representative did not attempt to review or look up the transaction and instead offered vague assumptions with no accountability, explanation, or effort to resolve the issue. As a customer, I expect consistent, fair, and professional treatment--both in-store and through corporate support channels. Unfortunately, this experience reflected a breakdown in customer service standards and a lack of ownership at multiple levels. Situations like this undermine trust and raise legitimate concerns about how customers are treated and supported. One notable difference is that there's Kohl's cash to help ease the pain. JC doesn't even give up a Penney. And when you find a live human that could help, they avoid eye contact. If you do manage to make contact, they give nonsensical answers to straightforward questions, like "What sizes do you stock in men's suits?" and "Why do certain sizes show online as being in store?" The store breaks that mold. I was able to call this store and immediately ascertain if they had suitable product in my size for an event. Not only did they have the product they offered to reserve it until end of day when I could return to the area. Upon my visit, the manager, Firouze, immediately went to the task of helping me select sizes and product. She was patient as I tried adjacent sizes on multiple times to be sure the fit was perfect. She managed to keep focus on me while serving other customers that came and went. While it took me well over 30 minutes, I was able to leave knowing what I had was the right thing for me and wouldn't need any alterations. That's a big bonus at this store. They have prehemmed pants in common lengths. As a bonus there was a hero's discount that I qualified for which gave me 15% off the total purchase. Anything helps at this time of year and that was a great way to stretch the budget. I also needed a pair of dress shoes and they happen to have the perfect ones on display in my size. I was able to use a coupon I had just received with my suit purchase to effectively take 2/3 off the price of that purchase. All in all I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience I received here. I was actually dreading the thought of having to go to Men's Wearhouse and get taken for a ride on mismatching coordinates as has happened once before in an emergency purchase.
