This location is awesome. Regretfully, I did not catch the guys name, but he conditioned my 4 year old Iron Rangers like a pro. I work in construction and I walk job sites 3-4 days a week, beating my boots up, and this guy made them look brand new. Their USA made boots are in the pricier side ($300+) but the longevity and service you get makes them worth it. Hope to get another pair soon! read more

This is not intended to be a review of Red Wing boots. This is a review of the store. The boots are the best on the market in my opinion. If you haven't tried on a pair of Red Wings, you really owe it to yourself to try them out. You get what you pay for, and these boots are worth every penny. Two main negative points, and the reasons Im giving 4 stars. 1. They are always understaffed. Like every time I have come in there is only one guy and he is helping multiple customers and answering the phone. They work hard and do a good job, but maybe have some more staff? Maybe add some part time help during the busy times? 2. The store is small and very hot inside. Not sure why they have such a small, stuffy location. This is Texas. Move into a bigger store! Your customers are practically sitting on top of each other and its hot as heck inside here. They even have a ceiling fan (one) that they never have turned on. Come on guys. Now I would like to highlight some good things about this store: Part of the brand experience for Red Wing is that they recommend a boot based off what type of work you do and what you need out of a boot. Whether you are a truck driver, factory worker, delivery person, or work on a road crew, there are different types of boots that they sell. The sales people here will be able to help you choose the boot you need. Or if you like, you can choose on your own. The staff at this location have always proved extremely knowledgeable about the product line and able to give good recommendations. I feel I can trust them in recommending what I need, and not just trying to move certain boots off the shelf based on commissions or bonuses. Over all a much better experience than buying online or from a box retailer. You walk out with good fitting boots that are right for the type of work you do. As mentioned at the beginning, the product line is phenomenal. Best boots I have ever owned. Im on my feet all day, plus I have bad feet to begin with. My feet NEVER hurt when I am wearing my Red Wings. I plan on wearing these boots as long as I am still working. read more

Poor ordering service for shoes - 2 times over 3 years no follow up with phone call or email, this last time they sent the shoes back - the manager did nothing to offer any resolve the issue but blame me - no a call or voicemail or email really! 2 nd time is the last time at this location. This store is the only place to shop for Redwing products! Angelo and Glen were very helpful in solving my issue, and when it comes to customer service, these guys were on top of their game. I was hesitant at their recommendation for an insole at first as I have never used one before but once I tried a pair of the memory foams in my Iron Rangers it made a huge difference. Their solution went above and beyond what I expected, and they strive to uphold their brand's reputation, no matter what. I highly reccomend anyone shopping for boots to make this their first stop. I bought 2 pair of boots here yesterday, 10875s and Irish Setters in size 13. I was happy they had my size in stock, as sometimes I have problems finding the boots I want readily (especially at small brick and mortars like this one). I came in as Glen, the employee on duty, was helping some customers in Spanish. He wrapped up quickly, and then helped me with choosing a pair of boots for work, as well as a pair for just kicking around. His knowledge was impressive, and he mentioned during our conversation that he'd been with the company for 12 years. That's a rarity these days, and it was refreshing to get help from someone who actually knows their job well, and by all outward appearances, truly enjoys it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this location with the caveat that I've only dealt with Glen. read more

I love Red Wing shoes and have been wearing their slippers for three years now, but this is the first time that I went to their in store location. I went to get a new pair of the same slippers I always had. When I got there the store clerk was very friendly and helpful and told me they were having a buy 2 get 1 free sale. I bought three pairs of slippers, which they didn't have in stock and had to order. They called me a few days later saying that they received them and I could come pick them up. I have a 10 month old baby and haven't gotten a "mom car" yet so its very difficult to get him in and out of his car seat which is crammed in the back seat of my convertible (which of course doesn't have a back door). Anyways, I got my baby into the car to run numerous errands and on the way to Red Wing he feel asleep. The last thing I wanted to do was crawl into the back seat, wake him up and pull him out, just to go into a store and pick up slippers. I got an email from Red Wing for a free cleaning, oil, and lace replacement. Dropped off work boots on Sunday 09/24 with very friendly manager who told me he would call and that they'd probably be ready in a couple of hours since it was a slow day. It is now Tuesday 09/26. After never receiving a call, I stopped by the store @ 1:35p to check the status. Store was unlocked and unoccupied. Waited for a bit, employee arrived from outside with food, and was very short and rude. I Gave him my ticket and he, visibly annoyed, retrieved my work boots. However I noticed when I got home that boots are still dirty. Granted, these are work boots and are scuffed, but now they have been left with white residue all over them and I really can't tell that they did anything. I've used this location for a while and service is normally great, but between the rude employee and shoddy cleaning job, I'll have to travel to the other location in Austin. read more
