Jazmine (Sorry if I spelt it wrong) and Rosie in the Home section of this location were the absolute best! I came in looking for an entire bed set, in California King. If you have a California King, you know it's hard to find begging in person. They helped me search high and low for the colors, styles, and quality I was looking for and we found it all. They were so kind and made me laugh as we looked around. Seriously the best two people I've met in a while and I'd be happy to go back for anything else I may need. If you're at this location, and need Home items, look for them. They're really great, you won't regret it. read more

I bought a bath rug, just one, not on sale, at Macy's. The place was a mess. The selection was limited. Mostly Martha Stewart 2-pc. I bought the one with the alligator icon on it, because I like gators better than... The sales clerk that helped me pay was rude in a nice way. They both seem discombobulated. I think only the Cosmetics Department is friendly at this Macy's. But the store always seems to be understaffed. New bath rug, new year... 2020. Pffft. read more

Macy's first used to be fully staffed and had a great selection of products. Sadly, things have changed so much they look like they are on the verge of going out of business. I had to wait about 25 minutes to get some help with a selection that I had made. I was ready to walk out when somebody showed up. My wife was shopping in another department and she said it felt like it was a "self-serve" store. Their prices are still pretty spendy for what you get. read more

I think I know which Macys gets closed next...they are saving money by running the fans at high blast but no air conditioning. the third floor is like the seventh circle of hell. the second floor is almost as bad, I think the first floor is where management is because its only hot not stifling. and this month they have upped the ante by increasing the volume on the sound system to drown out the noise of the fans. im not sure where they get their music, but its hard to put up with. Macy's should just give up! I've always supported our local businesses but I've been to both the Burbank & Sherman Oaks CA stores 4 or 5 times over the last 6 months and they NEVER have any merchandise, the store is a mess and there are NO sales people.. The last time I was in Burbank I had a very specific item that I needed and I brought a sample to show the sales person. When I finally found someone, she refused to help me, she said she just got out of the hospital and couldn't walk to the area that stocked the item! If you do finally find something to purchase, it's a challenge to find a check-out. When you finally find an open register, there is a ridiculous wait. Today I was next in line and it took 25 minutes, it seemed as though the customer was opening a credit card account. The last time I was 3rd in line and waited over an hour. Sometimes you want to see the merchandise in person or you need something immediately and cannot wait for online delivery, but apparently those days are gone. Very sad. read more

This store is a mess. Clothes are all over the place. Looks dirty and disorganized. And there is never ever enough cashiers. One person at one of the few remaining checkout counters. And always a really long line to be waited on. I live nearby but will drive to Pasadena where at least the merchandise is picked up and easy to browse. OPEN A "RETURN ITEMS" LINE OR DEPARTMENT!!! I love shopping at Macys for the brands that are offered. BUT.... Every time I shop at the actual store, I end up waiting in line far too long, everyone in line seems to be returning items. I get it, people buy online then return items as needed. MAYBE..... you can create a department for returns from online and in store purchases to separate the buying and returning process. So far, I have left the store three times without the items I had in my arms, ready to purchase. I actually really need clothes, I recently lost a significant amount of weight and need to buy new clothes, still the check out process was so terrible that I left with nothing after spending hours trying on clothes. My experience was extremely delightful, so I had to write a review about the exceptional service from Shannon Giancotta. With so much going on in the world, due to the pandemic, many retails stores in my experience miss the mark to provide great service. That is very far from the exceptional experience and service that I received from Shannon. She made the process seamless, was graceful, polite and extremely professional throughout the entire time. I used to love this store and shop here almost exclusively, because of GREAT customer service with employees who really know their products and can give good recommendations. I haven't minded waiting when they've been short staffed (which is a lot of the time). Not any more. A woman I usually see working in housewares was in the children's department when I went shopping last week. When I asked why she was there she said there's been a change and all employees are working all around the store now. She said it was a new thing and hopefully the kinks will get worked out soon, but I don't have high hopes for that. It just seems sort of dumb. I told her I could have used her help earlier when I was shopping for a grill pan because the person who waited on me didn't even know what I was asking for. I just wanted a recommendation on which one would be best for me. So I didn't get one and decided to get some clothing for a friend's baby shower, and that's when I saw her. When I told her what happened, she immediately went to the computer, showed me some options, printed out a piece of paper and wrote the name of what I decided on and the web number because I said I didn't have time to stay at the store and order or to go back to the department to get it. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because she helped me the way I'd expected to be helped when I first went to housewares. What should have been a simple purchase with a person who knows the merchandise turned into a long visit that ended with no grill pan in my hands. If I wanted to go to a store where they just have checkers to ring me up, I'd go to Burlington or Ross. One is in the mall and the other is just across the street. But I've always gone to Macy's because of real customer service with regular employees in the departments I shop in who can help me find the best option in my price range, and have a nice hello it's good to see you again when I come to shop. I think Macy's really needs to think about whether they want to keep their longtime, loyal customers who have come to expect real customer service, or are looking to just have people buy online because coming into the store won't give them any more information than they can find on the website. This review is specifically for the Macy's in Burbank. A couple of months ago I was shopping for a patio dining set. Macy's had a sale for a set that my wife and I liked. We went in person and saw the floor model. The salesperson, who was very nice, informed us that the earliest they could would have this item in stock would be December. We tried to buy the floor model. The salesperson had to consult with the manager. We were told that they could not sell it either. This made no sense. Macy's has the item advertised on sale but, did not have in stock to be shipped until December at the earliest. Also, they could not sell the floor model. Please do not advertise items in stock and on sale if you have no plans on carrying them or selling them. Disappointed! read more

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the merchandise is ok. But then again I can get the same merchandise in Any other macys location or online. I try to avoid going to Burbank macys mainly for the poor customer service, or should I say lack thereof, as is reminiscent of most Burbank businesses. I went to do a little shopping during Black Friday. Granted, I'm very much aware that it's a very busy day, but still. One would think they would have extra staff and better service on that day, especially? Think again. The line was out the door and I literally had one thing. A coat. There were only 2 clerks working then this young guy called me said he's ready. But he was not. His register wasn't starting so I had to wait at least 15 minutes for it to start, in the meantime having to hear about another customer bitching about her Black Friday shopping nightmares and complaining about another one who was cutting in line. Ummm... I don't care? Finally, his register seemed to be "ready," and he rang up the coat. Then I asked where the restroom is and after telling me, he asked "did I make it too complicated for you?" I think that's pretty rude for someone who's in the service industry, but I let it go. Anyway, I went to the restroom.... FILTHY. But I had to go. So much for selling fine merchandise macys restrooms are statistically pretty disgusting for their overpriced "made in China" goods. So my mom wanted to put the coat on and she realized that the security sensor hadn't been removed so she had to go back and wait for the guy to remove it. It's a good thing it was noticed in the store and we had the receipt. Otherwise, it would've been another trip to this place which I was Not willing to make. After that I tried looking through the racks to see if I could even find anything, and could not, as the store is pretty unorganized and hard to navigate. I still wanted to get some of the Black Friday deals so I ended up going home and shopping online. Although I'll have to wait for the merchandise a bit longer, it sure beats having to shop in that unpleasant atmosphere. Long story short, I'll avoid going here for a while if ever again. That Burbank mall is crappy in general poor selection of stores, bad customer service, and a challenging parking situation. This place is a disaster. You would think that its black friday and they are still recovering, but that's no excuse half way through January. This is the messiest Macys I have ever been to and I am astounded by it! Its like the goodwill of Macys but the same price as any other Macys. The staff were nice and helpful but nothing is organized, there are clothes all over the floors. The racks are cluttered with different clothes and there are piles accumulated on the racks. Kudos to the employees at this location. Unlike Michael V., my experiences as a customer have been very positive. As a frequent visitor to the Burbank Macy's, I can accurately state that they make announcements beginning 45 minutes before closing, and every 10 minutes thereafter, saying when the store is closing, and that after closing there's only one door for exiting. Every. Ten. Minutes. Over the loudspeaker. On every floor. Kinda hard to miss. It appears that Michael V. decided to shop late on BLACK FRIDAY -- the busiest shopping day of the year -- expecting that eight minutes prior to a 10pm closing was sufficient to check out. And contrary to Mr. V's experience, I've found most of the employees at this location to be quite helpful, polite, knowledgeable, and display amazing patience with surly and entitled attitudes from people who think that clerks and salespersons are their personal shoppers and/or maids. When chatting with other customers in line, a number have told me that they drive from Valencia, Sherman Oaks, or Glendale to the Burbank store because the customer service is so good there (despite often being understaffed). When we purchased our cookware set in Burbank, the salesperson was incredibly accommodating. I hadn't used my Macy's card in a long time, and she got it reactivated in minutes. She even went into the stockroom to get a bonus piece we didn't even know was included, used a coupon she had that was better than the one we had, and arranged for carryout to our car. I'd say that was exemplary customer service. Then again, we didn't start our checkout process eight minutes prior to closing. It's interesting how entitled some folks feel when it comes to the service industry. It behooves shoppers to realize that these people work their behinds off catering to often unreasonable whims and demands from customers. I have bought a sweater online and had the original receipt that was $115 but then charged me 345$ on mistake and they professionally resolved the issue when it came to fixing that manner and gave me credit for making my payments on time. They also helped substantially when it came to picking out the perfect cologne that I fell in love with, they are the experts when it came to this type of stuff! read more

I needed help with finding a specific dress and Andrea told me to wait til the line ends til she can help me out. She was the only one there so I said sure. About 30 minutes later she helps me. While helping me for not even a minute, this old impatient ass customer kept calling her. You know what Andrea did? She LEFT ME to help out this old ass impatient customer whose only been waiting for 2 minutes. THEN 10 minutes later I found the damn dress on my own. The only one left hidden amongst hundreds of fucking dresses merged together. Then the line is now 6 people long. Holy fucking shit. Good store, Macy's always had some good deals worth looking around finding unexpected deals

I've been shopping at this location for over 10 years and I always enjoyed the convenience, laid back atmosphere, decent merchandise. Sure, some prices could be a bit higher, but they have sales often, so if you're a smart shopper, have a bit of patience, you can get some deals. Lately, the store is in disarray, from the main doors you come inside from the garage (they need repairs, handles put back on, etc) to restrooms (could be cleaner), etc. But my main issue is their last floor, where they display the ladies/juniors apparel. Since early this year they have more and more areas with discounted clothes, winter clothes, and this keeps going, it's taking over more and more instead of displaying more spring/summer collections. The store isn't organized, the fitting rooms are full of clothes everywhere, last time I was there I had to add to a pile outside (in the lounging area) where people should sit and wait. There aren't enough people working in store to clean up this mess. You always have to wait to check out, it's slow and once again, they need more staff. As a shopper (I got stuck with a Macy's gift card for my b-day) it's hard to find new merchandise, new collections, they don't bring enough new apparel. The store is stale, with a bunch of left over clothes, it looks more like a discount store than the nice Macy's that it used to be. It's convenient and has a big garage, always a plus in my book. I hope they'll get it back to what it used to be, a nice Macy's, no frills, but cozy, well organized department store, where you can shop leisurely, easy going vibe and nice merchandise. read more

I bought a recliner over a month ago, the sales representative stated it would take 2 weeks for me to receive my recliner. Great. A month later, and still haven't received an answer to any of my questions about the status of my recliner. I've called 5 times already. And every time I call they keep saying I should receive an email in 2-3 days from the warehouse. But I haven't received any email. I let them know I would want my money back, if it would take any longer and they said my card wasn't charged. I get charged once my item gets delivered. By biggest frustration is the lack of communication. The sales representative should've explained it could take longer for delivery and should've also explained that my credit card wouldn't be charged until I received my recliner. Also, if I get told I'm going to receive an email, I expect an email with some sort of status. And to make things even more frustrating, I called the store manager and although he was very polite, he gave me two different status updates? First he mentioned the recliner was already in the warehouse but hadn't been delivered because my card on file wasn't being approved. (Why didn't the costumer service agents tell me this the 5 times I called? I would've resolved this asap if that was the hold up). Then in the end, he says it actually shows the recliner is in back order. And it's not even in the warehouse. Then follows to say I should call back to costumer service and I could ask for some sort of reimbursement/discount. I called the costumer service department AGAIN, and immediately asked to speak to a supervisor/manager. And the agent began to "update" me on the status of my recliner. She totally dismissed my request. I had to tell her 3x for her to transfer me to a supervisor/manager. -Still without an update. I have to wait another 24 - 48 hours. Macy's (to everyone I've talked to that represent Macy's), you need to work on your communication skills. No costumer should ever experience this inconvenience and frustration. read more

I called yesterday just to make sure and I was told it was shipping today. I called today and was told my order was cancelled on the day I ordered back it on Black Friday? What?
