As much as think Glendale Mall is way better than the Burbank Mall, when it comes to Macy's, I would much rather visit the Burbank location than the Glendale one. The parking at Burbank Macy's is always available with close to the door spots. You have a much nicer layout and easy to access and find escalators located in the middle of each floor. I always find what I need. The store is generally organized for the most part. The customer service is usually okay for the most part. However, I must wonder about customer service since no employee ever approaches me while I am in the store. Most of the time, I am just walking through to the mall. This Macy's is really depressing. Everything about it makes me sad, other than the cosmetic department. Really, though, I always like cosmetic departments! I blew through here the other night, and decided to check out the shoe department. Generally speaking, I always like shoe departments. What can I say? I'm a big, red-headed stereotype. Not only is this shoe department small, and stocked only with low-end, generic and cheap-0 brands, like Jessica Simpson, Sketchers and honestly I don't even know what all. The best stuff they had there was either Max Studio, Coach or Steve Madden- this is NOTHING like Macy's at the Fashion Square, where you've got all the brands you can imagine, from Giuseppe Zanotti to Fit Flops, and every price point in between. For serious. Just to add insult to injury, the place was a disastrous mess! It was so bad in there, I had to take pictures. I honestly couldn't believe it. I suspect that part of the reason the shoe department was so chaotic was because they never sized the shoes on the sale racks... all the signs read "CLEARANCE sizes 10-11" Needless to say, I did not make a purchase. I came by for a gift card (since that's what my sis wanted for her b-day). My husband and I walking through the cosmetics section, I stopped to smell the new Dior's. This sales person (male) comes by telling me what would smell good on me. How would he know? I simply told him that I will let him know if I need his help (hoping he would leave us alone). Rather than taking a clear direction, he sticks around (very closely) and monitors my every move. I found this to be rude! Then I asked for a particular Dior perfume that I use. He tells me that there is no such perfume. If he doesn't know, he shouldn't even be working here. Just because Macy's doesn't carry the higher end Dior products, doesn't mean they don't exist. Never had anyone cling to me like this man. Even my husband (who never gets bothered by anything) was annoyed. For some reason, this cosmetics/parfum department has always been out of sorts. read more

I usually only come where there's a pretty big clearance or sale going on cause they do have quality brand materials. Having the prices lowered at those times cause they are going out of style / season makes it worth the trip. Getting prices 40%-60% or even 75% is a lot on someone's wallet. There are three floors. First floor is usually kids, baby, bed and kitchen appliances. Second floor are shoes, some evening wear, jewelry, makeup (that section is always a stink cause of the perfume smells mixing and junk), and men's clothing. Third floor women clothing from young adult to mature. The workers here are pretty attentive and pretty nice. No rush for parking as they have separate hours from the mall since they are connected to the parking garage on all floors and exits near towards barnes and noble. read more

Atleast parking is easy... This Macy's is located in the Media Center Mall. It is one of the anchor stores. The other anchor is Sears. Other stores of interest are Bed, Bath and Beyond, Sunglasses Hut, and Old Navy. Aside from that, the mall does not have much else in terms of shopping. There are 2 structures with multiple floors that lead into Macy's and they are and they are seldomly filled. Great for a quick in and out... like a return! I have been here several times, as well as several other Macy's in the area (Glendale, Eagle Rock, Sherman Oaks, Northridge, CanogaPark, Arcadia, and Santa Ana, etc.) This store is very average and is limited in selection. All of the previously mentioned locations with the exception of Eagle Rock carry so much more in terms of womens clothing. Other stuff: The floor plan layout is easy to navigate. Items seem to be well organized. The women's restroom is drab and usually not well maintained. The employees are friendly. In summary, if you need a Macy's for convenience and a quick stop and have no interest in going to other stores, this Macy's is for you. If you have more time and want more of a variety of items, and also want to shop at other stores in the mall, the Sherman Oaks FashionCenter in Glendale Galleria are less than 10miles away. read more

I ordered my foundation, online, and had to pick it up using curbside service. When I got to the store, I called but was put on hold. Within 5 seconds of my arrival a car pulled up next to me calling in for their order after me. Dana picked up the phone stating that she had to finish with her counter custumer first. I waited patiently listening muzac. I heard the car next to me and their call was taken before mine. When Dana returned to the phone with me she yelled at me accusing me of hanging up. That's a lie otherwise the call would have disconnected. I tried several times to explain that I stood patiently listening to muzac not hanging up on her but she kept cutting me off. Then she said my name, address, and phone were wrong, but when I checked the order everything was correct. When she cam outside the other customer was serviced first even though I called in before them. Dana, then, started another argument with me telling me I was rude for hanging up on her. I have been a long time customer of Macy's especially that store and to date have never been treated so horribly as I was by Ms. Dana. I will not return to that store. read more

This Macy's can be hit or miss. Let's be honest - the mall the Macy's is in is kind of lame. So this Macy's is on par with the mall. BUT! They still have a large shoe department which is good. I've been disappointed with the housewares section but I think that is an issue with Macy's in general. Everything is Martha Stewart brand which ups the price 30%. Macy's has amazing sales-- you can hunt them up online or (after quarantine) in store with wildly discounted clearance racks. But you are pretty much on your own in the store, there is very little customer service and often piles of untended clothes. I think staff is trying they are just overwhelmed. I don't know why this place would get exceptionally low ratings because they actually have a really good selection of things. Macy's also has extensive online offerings. Their return policy is/was exceptional in that you can order things like shoes and have them shipped to the store, try them on in store and return them on the spot if you don't like them. I went there Christmastime, and went up to a random counter to ask where the order pickup station was. I hate shopping from Macy's, all people working over there are on commission and they are killing each other for sales even in front of the customers it's so sad that big crop. made them to do this for money. Even if you ask to open a credit card they'll lie to you and they'll apply for the AMEX version of the credit card instead of the regular store one (painted they make more money that way) and it doesn't only happen to me but I know a few other people same thing happened to them. When you go home you receive a letter from AmEX that you are or not approved which is both surprising to see! Do you steal customers in front of each other and when they are almost done with you they jump to an other customers! I went to this location because it is near my gym and I had a voucher/credit that was about to expire. I normally go to the location in Century City. My review is based mainly on my experience at the Clinique counter. The lady behind the counter was not very interested in helping me or answering my questions. Skincare products can be confusing so I had questions to make sure i was purchasing the correct item. She rushed me and was not well informed about the products. She ended up telling me to take the wrong night cream and I had to go back to the Century City location where they were more than happy to exchange it for me after making sure they found the right product for me. After that I went to look at clothing and again I was faced with the same problem of having trouble getting the attention of sales associates to answer questions. Maybe I didn't look like "Macy's Material" in my gym clothes after a BodyCombat class. I'll try to look nice the next time I go there. On the plus side the store has free garage parking. Went to the Burbank Macy's today... I purchased $2K worth of merchandise on-line from Macy's in the past 30 days. I was shopping in the mens department and needed an extra bag for my purchases. When I took an extra Macy's plastic bag a gal name Elizabeth said that I couldn't have the bag unless I purchased an item. I was holding a Macy's bag and I happened to have $2K worth of Macy's receipts in my hand which I showed her. She still insisted that I give back the 10 cent plastic bag. Last Christmas I received a $150 Macy's gift card. After carrying it around all year and looking at various Macy's for something I liked I finally headed over to the one-day sale at this Macy's yesterday. Michael in the jewelry department was helping another customer for what seemed like forever when it was finally my turn. I showed him the earrings I was interested in noting he seemed bothered and bored with the whole process so much so I was tempted to say hey if you don't like this job why not get another? I went to retrieve the gift card and it was gone. What I did have was two attachments from the card which had scan codes on them. I had used none of the $150 so I asked Michael if he could use the codes to determine it was still $150. No, he responded. No explanation, no let me check with a manager, just no. I was about to spend several thousand dollars on all new furniture. My significant other couldn't be with me to look at things for our new home, so I was by myself. After I would find two or three options I liked, I was sending him pictures so he could give his input. I sat on a couch to see how it felt after having been in Macy's for an hour or so, someone finally came up to me (I thought to see if I needed any help). "What are you doing?!" This review is for two wonderful employees who made my shopping experience there a breeze! They are Elena and Mary who have assisted me with Origins cosmetics. Both ladies are knowledgeable, patient, and very helpful. While shopping for some Christmas gifts, Mary helped me find some gift sets that I may not have found on my own, as there are hundreds to choose from. She even walked me over to show some other sets on the other side of cosmetics. She was genuinely attentive, not just to me, but to other customers who came by. Elena has helped me a few times, with Origins and Clarins. She is also a real asset to this company. She delivers excellence every time! This store, however, is pretty much always understaffed. It's a shame, really, because whenever I shop here, I am reminded of how things used to be in the good old Macy's days, when they first came in with a flourish and real customer service, meaning, employees everywhere to assist you. 9/24/2021 7:02PM. Went to return items ordered on line at Macy's Burbank store. When I arrived at Customer Service, there were three reps behind the counter. Total of 2 customers, one being serviced by a gentleman at the counter and me who just arrived. One rep decided it was the end of her shift so she left. One rep took one look at me and told the gentleman helping a customer already " why don't you help this lady waiting in line while I put all these clothes away". So I waited until the customer ahead of me was done while this lady continued to ignore me. Finally, it was my turn to be helped, then 2 white ladies arrived. The lady putting away clothes did not hesitate to stop what she was doing and gladly helped the two white ladies. Why did the rep decided to put away clothes instead of helping customers like me?? Isn't customer service important to Macy's??? Was it because I am Asian, very short, not well dressed and appear poor?? How presumptous of her. I would refer to this as discrimination and does not look good for the image of Macy's. Such behavior must be reprimanded. I'm shocked to see the state of this Macy's. It used to be beautiful and well organized. Now, all of the women's sections look like complete trash. Every section is crammed to the Max with hideous clothes. I almost can't believe these clothes are sold here. They look cheap and poorly made and are super unattractive.
