This review is for the second floor women's section next to the dressing room. Went dress shopping with a friend for her holiday party two weeks ago. Oh man, what a mess! Then why 4 stars you might be asking? Well, those ladies were working their butts off!!!! I was in retail for many decades and considering how customers were leaving the racks and the dressing room, the genuine smiles on their faces was nice to see. Yesterday we had to return one of the dresses and still all smiles on the ladies! Yelp wants me to mention value. Stuff was on sale for the holiday so prices were pretty good for what she purchased. Look, I don't shop at Macy's for myself because of their pushy credit card bull crap. That's why minus a star. Went to find my wife something for Christmas. Angela was so helpful in finding a particular Michael Kors coat I saw online but couldn't seem to locate myself. She went hunting through all the racks and even disappeared into the back only to emerge with the coat I was looking for. She even boxed it up for me at the register. It was on sale also. ATTENTION for FUTURE Effy clients: I purchased a ring from Effy at my local Macy's in April 2021. Under 2 years of normal wear and usage, one of the ring prongs fell off so I decided to contacted Effy because their website states that "Effy Jewelry stands by the quality and craftsmanship of each product we manufacture: that is why we offer this limited lifetime warranty". However, Effy does not stand behind this warranty. When I called Effy to replace or repair the ring, their representative informed me that they could not repair the ring but would replace it if I paid $950. This offer was nonsensical and unacceptable since that is the amount that I originally paid for the ring. In essence, Effy offers no warranty at all. They lost a long time customer because I will no longer be purchasing from Effy . read more

There wasn't much advanced preparation, but I believe I got in and out of at least 30 pieces of clothing in the span of the hour that we had. I ended up walking away with three pieces of clothing, and I thought the prices were already pretty fair. However, there were more deals to be had - sheeesh! Stopped by yesterday to get my facewash (Origins Checks & Balances). It wasn't too busy & the beauty advisor Lynn helped me right away. It took less than 10 minutes. She made it easy peasy. Customer service is always great here. All of their associates/advisors are friendly and helpful. I buy some of my clothes & coats here. It's organized and always clean. It's easy to find what you're looking for. There are 3 levels. 1st floor is all beauty departments, men clothing dept, purses, jewelry, & sunglasses. 2nd is women, juniors, shoes, & LensCrafters. 3rd is household items, baby & children dept. I like getting my sunglasses here because they have so many to choose from. I've bought Gucci, Ray-Bans, & forgot which other one. I used to go to their LensCrafters located on the second floor before I found the new place I go to now. Their optometrists and staff (especially Daniel, not sure if he's still there) are friendly & will help you with whatever you need. I did like this location because they were open late and 7 days a week. read more

There was a time when Macy's was a quality shopping experience, however our most recent visit to this location was a total waste of time, wife wanted to look at some shoes and there was no one shoe dept. She asked a worker from one of the other shoe departments for some help, they said they were only able to help with their shoe brand and that my wife would have to wait in the checkout line to get someone to show here the shoes, there was only two cashiers and a line about 15 people long, one of the cashiers took off sowhere and then there was one cashier, what are the odds that she would be able to leave register to go and get shoes out of the back room? I ordered an item for pick-up a couple of weeks ago and the process went smoothly. As it turned out, I didn't need the item after all. I opened the Macy's app, found the order, clicked a few buttons for a return and then headed to the store. The gentleman at the counter wasn't very welcoming, but was polite. He scanned the QR code on my phone, scanned the tag of the item, and then handed me my receipt showing that the credit went back to my card. Easy transaction that took only a minute or two. All the staff are wearing masks and being professional about Covid. I have to give a major shoutout to Sheena who noticed my brother and I were wandering around trying to find a cashier - she actually flagged us down and helped us check out! We were getting some new clothes for my brother and she was so helpful in getting some online orders placed for us since they weren't in stock at the store. It was a seamless shopping experience and she really went out of her way to make our day that much more seamless! If you go to this Macy's try to find Sheena, she's going to make the whole shopping experience the best ever! Would highly recommend you find her- she was so sweet and went out of her way to get savings and coupons! Truly the end of the shopping day felt like a huge success with so many good finds! This Macy's is huge and I think the selection was impressive compared to the Brea mall Macy's. The women's section is impressive and the men's section is equally well organized. I appreciated how the men's clothing was all on the first floor so it was easy access for those men who need to get in get out- which is my shopping mentality! The men's socks selection isn't great - none of your fun colorful or whimsical socks if you're looking to spice up your sock collection. Came here as a regular customer and what I don't like about this Macys location is you guys are always opening late and close like 30 minutes before closing which makes us who are parking inside garage have to walk from the outside to get into the indoor parking structure every time. My question is how much hours are the employees getting paid for this kind of service? And does your boss only pay you guys until 7:30pm? I came here on a Sunday and they close at 8pm. never again will i venture into the Macy's in Arcadia at Santa Anita Mall! It looked worse than any flea market i've ever been to! The floors were filthy. The clothes were not even folded, but they were all in a bunch on tables. The customer service? There was none! Trying to get the very young people to get off of their cell phones or to stop having their conversations with each other to help me, it was next to impossible. I walked out and discussed, and never will. I go into Macy's again! It made me really sad to see how awful this once beautiful store , now in shambles! Lost my phone at the mall and my friend had my location saying it was around Macy's. The ladies at reception/check out were amazing and so helpful, especially Adrienne and Maria. Adrienne was working at checkout on the 3rd floor was so helpful and sweet and really did her best to help me. She checked my friend's phone and told me it seems my phone's location was most likely at the SK II stand. We were just about to head there when Maria was passing by and confirmed that my phone was downstairs on the first floor, and it was at SK II like Adrienne predicted! I'm reviewing the macys store in Arcadia Specifically the jewelry department . My wife and I had an unpleasant time with "Shannen" shes about 5 foot 4 in and hefty with blonde hair . When asked if she was the dept manager she yelled back with " I said No!!!!" She was " sighing " frequently like we were disturbing her and she would rather delegate the job to another by telling you that she'd have to get another person to help you. They have one of the largest cosmetic departments and I always get great service . If they do not have your size it can easily be ordered and shipped to you. All last year this store was a nightmare and in December 2022 I was so appauled at the condition of the store I wrote a negative review. I went into Macys today to purchase some makeup, I knew i wanted Chanel so i headed to the counter! Two beautiful and so polite young ladies approached me to assist me the names are Natalie and Anastasia. Natalie asked me how was my face oily or dry and she tried on the foundation with two different primers on each side! She made me feel so comfortable and recommend one that matched my skin! I purchased both! Both young ladies were so welcoming and had an amazing energy to them! I felt like i knew them for a while! I went with my two daughters and they never felt annoyed by any of them, they had the patience to deal with me and the girls! Would definitely go back with my sister who is also looking for Chanel recommendations, and these girls know what they are doing! I rate this Chanel store a 10! read more

****Wedding Gift Registry Services Review**** We registered at Macy's for our wedding, we had no idea that they'd have a wedding registry specialist to help us along the way!! Bianca contacted us via email and told us about special wedding events going on at this particular Macy's location. She was honest about what brands didn't sell as well or that had the most amount of return (price over quality...). Even after our wedding ended, she still followed up with us for a registry completion sale (among other sales going on). There's wifi inside Macy's which definitely helped us add things to our registry. We did have some trouble with the Macy's app for iPhone not registering items though and sometimes had to revert back to using the store scanner to scan items we wanted. The store is organized in the home department. I can't speak for the clothing and sale sections we passed by because sales often leave messes. Why rate a department store when I plan to give them a 2 star? Well, I hadn't plan on writing a review since everyone on Yelp has probably walked into one Macy's or another. But I dropped in a few days ago and overheard someone complain, and he had a great point. It seems the level of service is very inconsistent. I've been to the men's shoes dept. several times over the years, and there were times I was approached and assisted very quickly and I walked out happily w/ a few pairs of shoes. Then there was my most recent visit: no one even acknowledged most of the customers browsing for shoes. The gentleman's complaint was, "whatever happened to the great customer service when a salesperson sees you looking at shoes, he/she would come over and offer to bring out sizes or assist in picking out a style?" He walked away angry, mumbling how they really lacked any attention and service. With that in mind, I noticed a few salespeople crowded near the register discussing something rather important, too pressing to help me or any of the other customers browsing. Perhaps they're planning an escape from the dreary jobs or a coup to overthrow the executives, but it left w/ a disappointing impression. I'm a huge observer of customer service levels (as I used to manage different businesses) and this Macy's is lacking, and very inconsistent. Unlike the other dept. where we're free to browse, try items on and bring said items to the cashier, the shoe dept. relies on these salespeople to bring out the right size from the stock room. So it seems this location is a hit or miss. Can't speak for every single dept. so this is mainly on the men's dept. If you're looking for shoes, have patience in case you get the same crew I saw on my visit. From my personal experience, the best shopping you can do at any Macy's would be downtown San Francisco, at Union Square. (will review separately) read more

Lady in children's department needs to do her job without her little comments. older middle aged Caucasian women. Gave me a hard time using my Macys credit card without the physical card. "Put in your social" ,I did, then she issued a fraud warning on my acct after verifying address , my social , checked my License...then says oh it didn't go through "Maybe your card is maxed out" I kid you not. No card of mine has been ever "maxed out" maybe yours is lady. I'm a gold member $300 away from platinum always pay full balance.. later I receive fraud text message to confirm purchase then she just had me type in my email and put the payment through like what? This is a review of the Shiseido counter. I purchased a foundation online and decided to stop by to see if the color matched. The lady at the counter did not seem particularly interested after I showed her my purchase. She fumbled through and found the color; placed it on my mom's hand that was it. I guessed she didn't want to spend any additional time because the commission she could have earned is gone anyway. Overall, I have a poor opinion of cosmetic counters at Macy's in Arcadia. Maybe they deal with too many snooty customers and it wears them down. On a plus side, I am glad someone was smart enough to move their online pick-up location to the entrance on the first floor. It didn't make sense to go up to the home department upstairs back then. Location for online pick-up need to be convenient-- like how Target puts in by their entrance. read more
