Bottomless salad, love the blue cheese crumbles and vinegrette dressing.

We dined here on a Tuesday night during the Holidays and it was busy. Saw reviews about slow service. It wasn't the case for us, our server Sydney was great! We mainly come here for the gumbo and bottomless salad. Along with their warm french bread and whipped butter. Prices are reasonable and the ambience is warm and inviting.

Brunch berries, melon, and pastry plate

Looking for a new Sunday brunch venue we decided to visit Mac's on Main today and are very happy to have now discovered this great brunch spot. I'm not at all crazy about the way the restaurant is partitioned into these various smaller areas. It feels confined, isolated and claustrophobic to me. I like to experience the vibe of an entire restaurant scene when I dine out. That's an important part of a restaurant experience for me. But, that's just me. Mac's offers an expansive brunch menu and a nice wine list. My wife began with a mimosa ($4.50!) and I a Maker''s Old Fashioned. The Old Fashioned was exceptionally well done. Perfectly bourbon forward with just the right amount of simple syrup and bitters. A+. We decided to share the Eggs Point St. George, a Bene with lump crab meat (not a crab cake). The poached eggs were cooked perfectly. The Hollandaise was standard Hollandaise fare which I perked up a bit to my taste with some hot sauce. Though we shared the entree we each received a plate consisting of a generous portion of berries, melon and fresh pineapple, all of which were perfectly ripe and sweet. The plate also includes a couple of small absolutely delicious cinnamon and sugar pastries. See my pic. Our server today was perfectly attentive from start to finish. I can see this becoming a regular brunch destination for us.

We came in on Saturday night without a reservation and a manager did her best to fit us in. Our party of five wasn't all there yet so we had a drink at the bar. Two Tito martinis that were made well but were small, 3 ounces but the price was right. Once seated, we Ordered our entrées with side salads. It was unlimited salad so that was satisfying. I ordered the pork chops, which were fabulous. Came with two chops and I substituted a vegetable for the starchy carb. Others had prime rib, which came out way too rare, grilled shrimp, and the fried chicken. Also, one had a fillet that was bacon wrapped, but that was pulled off immediately. That always screams prepackaged fillet to me, but she said it was good. The dining room is different and I couldn't put my finger on it until later when I realized it didn't have any carpet so maybe that was what was throwing me off. Bar area was nice and you're able to eat a full meal there. I must say, there drinks are priced right. No gouging. Service was very good and the restaurant was clean.

I had a friend in town who wanted to experience Main st. I wanted to try something new so we went with Macs. I feel this place has so much potential, nice location, nice ambiance, nice menu. It just lacks flavor! Everything we had, was 0 flavor. Let's start with the salad. The waiter claimed it was the equivalent to Olive Garden. Not even close. He said everyone raves about the house Vinaigrette dressing, It tasted like oil to me, no taste. The tomatoes with the salad were mush. Now for the entrees. Had the filet w/mash and the Grilled Gulf shrimp over rice and Jicama salsa. Once again, everything was bland. I had to eat the mangos with the jacima salsa to make the shrimp flavorful. Service was great and prices are reasonable but you get what you pay for and this was average. Some may enjoy Mac's, but it didn't trigger my pallete.

Went here for a work trip with 7 other coworkers. Overall, we enjoyed the food and had a really good time here! We ordered several apps to share (the calamari, scallops, and poke). The poke was my favorite of the three. I ordered the Scottish salmon and the Mac and cheese as a side. They say the salmon is cooked medium rare. I found the edges dry, but the medium-rare part in the middle was definitely the best. The Mac and cheese was also a solid side. The service was super friendly, but a little slow for ordering and getting food. We appreciated that they were so accommodating of a large group.

Salad Unlimited - delicious

"Why have we never been here before?" "Because we're dumb." This was restated frequently during our 12.08.23 visit here for Happy Hour and a meal. We sat at the bar and were taken care of by the amazing Savannah, who hustles drinks and food like very few can. We both ordered the gumbo and unlimited salad, which also comes with house made bread. The beautifully simple salad came out accompanied by chilled serving plates. If you like bleu cheese, this is the salad for you! Romaine lettuce topped with tomatoes, onions and bleu cheese mixed with a delicious house dressing - more, please! And the bread - light fluffy warm bread served on a hot plate with a side of whipped butter - that just says it all. Our gumbo was excellent and hearty. I have never had gumbo in Louisiana, so I couldn't speak to its authenticity, but it was very tasty. With the attention given to the other dishes we saw rolling out of the kitchen, I am sure this gumbo is legit. And as good as it was, it doesn't matter. For the service and great food, this will be a new habit to make and look forward to. Highly recommend.

Korean Mandu, tasty!

We enjoyed lunch here today. Started with the Mandu and Gumbo. Both tasty. Fam had Chicken Fried Steak and Chicken Fried Chicken were both very good. Mashed potatoes with basil were unique, and good. Service was good as well. We will come back!

My first time to this location; we went for Sunday brunch. I really miss the days of the buffet and the fresh cinnamon roll; most of my rolls were hard as a rock. Server was a bit neglectful when it came to filling our waters and bringing us the bill. The restaurant has the same feel as the Arlington location but this one has a patio which is a nice addition. My Eggs Florentine was tasty; the eggs were cooked perfectly. I wasn't a fan of the potatoes, too much salt for me. Parking is available on the street or a public lot northwest of location.

Ordered the scallop appetizer and it was delicious. I had the prime rib and it was so tender my husband had the ahi tuna and it was up to his expectations. We were given a complimentary slice of key lime pie for his birthday. The overall experience was excellent. Our waiter Alex R. was awesome. This was our first time here but it will not be our last.

Filet and baked potato

My guy took me here for my Birthday Dinner and I wasn't disappointed. At the end of Main Street in Grapevine so perfect to walk around after eating. Everything we had was delicious and our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. I'll definitely come back!

I have never heard of this place before but I'm told it's a chain. But, probably one of the nicest I've been to. Our server, Oscar, was supremely nice, competent and helpful. He will give you honest advice on dishes and doesn't sugar coat it just 'cause you're there. We loved him. Our dishes were all excellent. I had a Ceasars salad to start and the garlic steak. It was quite tender almost TOO tender - it did have a bit of gristle in there but not too much - I could work around it. My father in law didn't think his steak was cooked enough and they took care of it no problem. My wife had the salmon and cleaned her plate which she rarely does. The bread they give you is this odd small disc of a thing. Little hard to cut. Not my favorite but that's ok. Their online menu needs work. You can't see all dishes in one place. I've uploaded a scan of the full physical menu which you should find helpful. They deserve the 5 stars on service alone. Nice to see some places really crushing it out there.

The restaurant is open and expansive but note it can get loud. My wife and I decided on the 3 course $40 dinner - great deal!. We both started with the wedge (full stripes candied bacon and onion rings!!) salad - this didnt look like any appetizer size! Our main was the salmon with grilled shrimp and our dessert was the cheesecake! Few places offer a 3 course meal of this quality and that combined with the top notch service from Midori promises we will return to Firebirds in Grapevine again

Hubby and I split the pork chop (thank goodness coz one order is good for 2. We also split the filet mignon since we want to taste both. The pork chop was splendid. It was the best pork chop I've ever had in my life. Was told it has been in the smoker for at least 6 hours that's why it came out juicy, tender and flavorful. It came with apple sauce but I didn't even bother having it so I could taste the real flavors of the pork chop. Didn't care much for the filet mignon since the pork chop became the star. Tho it was also good and well seasoned. For sides we ordered grilled asparagus and the Truffle Potato Wedges which were huge wedges, so it's only 6 pieces. Nonetheless they were good and crispy. The sides were ordered separately; it didn't come with the entrees. Our server Bryce was nice and responsive --he just needs to speak a bit louder and clearer so we can hear him. Other than that we're happy with his service. The vibe that evening was cozy (came in at 5pm) until 6 pm came and it was packed and got a bit loud. It was a bit pricey and we realized we didn't need that big portion of the pork chop for one order. We just had to go on Fridays because they have specials for lunches and the entrees came with the sides and costs much less compared to regular days. Browse the pictures of the menu I have attached for you to see the price. Our bill was a little over $150 just for me and my hubby. We'll be back but this time on a Friday for their specials.

The portions are also huge Our server was wonderful from start to finish. He was friendly, attentive, and checked on us often without being overbearing. The service was honestly the best part of the experience. We started with the Sichuan calamari, and this was easily the highlight of the meal. It was perfectly crispy, the glaze had just the right amount of sweetness and heat, and the seasoning gave it a nice kick without overpowering the calamari. It was one of the best calamari dishes I've had and definitely raised my expectations for everything that followed. Next was the tenderloin bruschetta, and unfortunately this one just didn't work for me. The flavors didn't come together, and it was much saltier than it needed to be. It felt like there were too many things happening on the plate without much balance. I wouldn't order it again. For the entrées, the Chilean Sea Bass was very good. The fish was flaky and cooked well, the risotto was creamy, and the sauce brought everything together without being too heavy. It was one of the stronger dishes we ordered. The lobster stuffed ravioli was another solid choice. The filling was generous, there was plenty of lobster on top, and the vodka sauce complemented everything nicely without taking over. It was rich but still well balanced. We also tried the New Zealand rack of lamb. This one had mixed reviews at our table. It wasn't as tender as I was hoping, but I didn't dislike it and again I didn't love it! The blackened exterior and the wine reduction gave it good flavor, but it just wasn't particularly memorable. My favorite entrée ended up being the tomahawk pork chop. The pork itself was juicy, flavorful, and cooked really well. I wasn't a huge fan of the pineapple bourbon glaze since I didn't think it added much to the dish, but the quality of the meat made up for it. We also had the strawberry spinach salad, which was fresh and a nice lighter option alongside all the richer dishes. Then there was also a side dish with green beans and almond and again no complains there. Overall, I left feeling a little conflicted. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was great, and the portions were very generous. The food itself was a mix of really good dishes and others that completely missed the mark. After such an incredible start with the calamari, I expected the rest of the meal to be on the same level, but it just never got there. I'm glad we tried it, but I don't think it's a place I'd rush back to.

One card is the Landrys card. $25 each birthday. Mine was last month, my bucks expired today. STEEEEAAAK! I usually get the Cowboy 16oz. Not today. Businesses there get that premium pricing deserves premium service. Just bring out the human inside to match my spirit. Okay, the salad? One of the best anywhere. In my top 2, even though it uses more iceberg than spring mix and Romaine. The salad is worth the drive. As of this day, no other steak but the Bone-in Ribeye. This was the juiciest, most tender-tender steak I have experienced. Yes, over DF Double Eagle, Ruth C, Cap Grille. Okay not better than Bob's, slow down there partner. Not better than Eddie Vs, but Saltgrass is priced more reasonably, so there's that. This had a dry aged taste and texture. Buttery smooth cut, even the fat was trimmed so there was still enough to make the flavor POP. Check was half the price of the other two, but the flavor was close to 90% of their's. The potato was thick, full, tender, the skin was delicious as well. Nothing was amiss. This was 5 star door to belly to door. I'll dream about that steak. I left about 4 bites on the bone so I could put it with my chicken tender togo meal. I am too classy to scrape my teefers on the bone in the restaurant, but not at home. At home, Hatuk the caveman in me comes out to put the smack down on the rest. No class whatsoever. A dog would get mad at me. Ciao folks, and chow down next time at Saltgrass. I will say we atleast liked the atmosphere and ambiance better at 1845 than we did at Rustico. But it was more of the same- incredibly overpriced BLAND food. Not at all worth the price you're paying, severely lacking in flavor, and takes waaaaay Too long to be delivered to your table after ordering. We started with the Texas Trio and we did enjoy that. It is kind of hard to mess up queso, salsa and pimento cheese- however we did say that was one thing we would eat again and was worth its value. My husband and other son bothe ordered cheeseburgers at $22 a pop and both said the burger they get at local pint was a million times better and a lil cheaper. I got the smothered chicken and It was very disappointing! The chicken was so bland it was like a notch above school cafeteria food (seriously) I swapped the rice for mashed potatoes and they were good (not great but good) and the Brussels sprouts which were really tasty but VERY small Portion for price. I've eaten at incredibly high end steak places that charge the same For a side of sprouts and give you more than double what I got tonight at 1845. The birthday boy got a strip steak and potatoes and he gave each of us a bite. $49 for this steak- a good size- but NO FLAVOR at all. Last but certainly not least- our server was nice enough and attentive HOWEVER he had on the Meta glasses that record people and that made our entire table very uncomfortable. My son said he had seen tik tok accounts where waiters record their patrons and post it! (Not saying he was but it definitely changed the atmosphere of our dinner) He also seemed notably disappointed and different after we didn't order the $49 appetizer and no alcohol. Visible mood shift but he did remain professional. All in all, we are baffled by the good reviews. And very very surprised at the quality of product and price point considering Marty Bs coffee has AMAZING food quality and pricing and so does the restaurant, just doesn't seem to be translating to the other establishments. :-(

It's almost like a theme park, it's own little world.. and each restaurant it's own extra-special entity. They're really paying attention to the details here! When Old Hickory first opened over 20 years ago, my sister was hired as a hostess. She'd been a hostess at Joe's Crab Shack and my family visited her there often. Sadly we didn't get to visit her at Old Hickory in the same way, hahah. Too special, too costly! But ever since they opened we knew it was a quality restaurant focused on a stellar menu. You won't find a steak here for under $60, but if you have the opportunity to splurge or are looking for a special occasion spot, Old Hickory is a top notch choice. The menu is classic steakhouse... gorgeous steaks, shrimp cocktail, oysters, baked potatoes, a wedge salad. All the expected goodies amped up to perfection. Hamachi crudo, crab cakes, seafood towers, lobster bisque, charcuterie boards... wild mushroom risotto, mac and cheese, parmesan truffle fries, creamed corn. King salmon and sea bass. I mean, come on. It's all the steak sides and toppings and sauces of your dreams... blue crab Oscar, foie gras, Maine lobster tail, steak "Diane," creme au poivre, bearnaise, horseradish cream, chimichurri. How do you even choose?! The atmosphere and service is just as impressive as the menu. Think dim lighting, live music, and a mini-vineyard view. And the staff is impeccably attentive, kind, and knowledgable. Chef Tsvetan Vladimirov is so skilled -- don't miss out on his craft or this gorgeous steakhouse experience!
