I like this place a lot. Dine in if you have the time because the Mac & cheese is served In small cast-iron skillets. It's cooked so the top layer is crunchy. It's so tasty. The grilled cheese sandwiches are perfect. Each time I've been there I've been impressed by the friendly staff as well. We took family from Tulsa after the holidays and they were disappointed while searching on their phones to find out that MacCheesy is a Joplin original and hasn't expanded there yet. read more

AMAZING! best mac and cheese i've ever had. I had the lobster mac and my mom had the bbq chicken mac. mine was very cheesy and had strong seafood flavor and the lobster was soft. One critique would be the atmosphere. the inside is very dull with old tables and chairs. The walls are orange (very original) and just bland. there's also no outside presence and it's very hard to find. I thought it would be packed in here based on the reviews but there was only one other table. They are right off Rangeline but they do not have many signs at all. But the food is amazing! read more

I actually enjoyed the food, we got the zesty chicken Alfredo and classic Mac and cheese in addition to a chicken Cesar salad and a cookie with ice cream. My only disappointment was with the prices here. Everything should be reduced by like 2$ to make it worth it. read more

We ordered take-away online, and the process was very easy. Our order was ready for pick up on time, (a quick 15 minutes), and the staff were very friendly. We had four different dishes, and they were all very good. Ordered regular sizes and split them four ways and everyone had plenty to eat. We had the Triple Threat with Pulled Pork Mac, Chicken Pesto Mac, Pepperoni Pizza Mac, plus my favorite, Philly Mac. If you are craving gooey and cheesy, you can't go wrong with that one. I really didn't expect to want to eat Mac n Cheese again so soon, but I really want to try the Burnt Ends Mac after reading the reviews, among others. Overall, a very yummy experience! read more

Wow. The food here is amazing! Those garlic knots are mouth-watering. I had the traditional Mac and cheese very stringy but good. There is a lot on the menu so you can choose a lot of different things to eat. The customer service is amazing the workers are nice and the service is pretty quick. My wife and I are forced to be gluten free because of allergies and so restaurants that offer a gluten free/friendly I expect them to have a system in place to make sure that gluten isn't in the food. So when it happened and my wife and I had eaten the wrong stuff they were nice and switch it but its damage done. The manager who we talked to gave us the blow off. Foods is perfectly fine and the gluten free is good. Just a week of being sick for not having a better system in place. read more

He like it ok, but would probably try something different. He wasn't crazy about the bbq sauce. The staff were friendly friendly. We stopped by here for dinner last night for the first time. I had the chicken bacon ranch and my husband had the burnt ends, both were great. We decided to try this place out for lunch today. I got the buffalo chicken and my mom got the shrimp mac n cheese. Their portions are huge and the food is delicious! The shrimp mac and cheese had shrimp at least every other bite and the buffalo mac had a good kick to it but not over powering. The owner was there and very helpful and friendly. For being open only 3 weeks, he is doing very well! If you're looking for some good comfort food on these upcoming chilly days, definitely stop in here! read more

I live in the St. Louis and travel to Joplin frequently. Someone suggested that I try MacCheesy. I didI and it was delicious. However, they were getting ready at that time to move to a new location. I had traveled several more times only to find out that the new location was not open yet. Last week, I made another trip to Joplin to find that they had finally reopened. What I didn't know until after I had ordered is that they had jacked up the prices big time. I realize that a new location right on "Rangeline" is surely higher rent, but not to warrant that kind of increase. Maybe a dollar, but 3 dollars? Don't get me wrong, it is a one of a kind place and the choices are awesome and the food is great. But lets face it, the main ingredient is macaroni and it's mostly macaroni. For not much more, I can cross the street and get a steak dinner. I think that kind of a price increase is a big mistake and I predict they will price themselves out of business eventually. After all, it's just macaroni. I won't be back for sure. read more

We found this on our drive from KC to Tulsa. The food is great with some creative mac and cheese options(or you can create your own). The family tried BBQ, the Philly and chicken bacon ranch. They were served in small cast iron skillets which makes a difference...you get the crunchy edges with the melted cheese. Yum! I have one suggestion that they switch from plastic forks to metal. That would make it easier to scrape all the yummy stuck on bits from the skillet. Another plus, actually equally important, is the excellent service. Way to expensive. What a joke. Me, my wife and my son decided to try for the experience and it was 35.00 for us. I can do mac and cheese at the house and sprinkle some extras on top and call it what they do. Not going to return unless they adjust pricing. Don't get a drink when you eat there it's just as expensive as a beer at a ball game stadium. They are charging too much for there food and drink. We loved our Mac & Cheese dinners (chicken bacon ranch & philly) + garlic knots. The portions are huge - the regular may look small, but it could seriously feed two people. Consider getting the half mac / half mac combo so you get two snack portions of two different macs. Couldn't make up our minds where to eat so we just kept driving and driving down Rangeline. I happened to spot this place in a strip mall and had just been thinking about mac and cheese at Newk's in Fayetteville the day before, so I was sold. I had my older mother with me, and I think she was hesitant, but she had insisted that I pick that day. What a great surprise! I had the kind with bacon and cheddar and she had a shrimp variety and we both loved it. Very generous portions, piping hot, delicious. I wish they had one where I live in Arkansas. Great warm comfort food. Can be a bit pricey but cheesy gooey piping hot goodness is worth it. Only reason they get less then a perfect rating is that we have gone into a slow time with clerk standing around tables chairs and floors a mess.
