Burnt Ends, Four Cheese, Chicken Bacon Ranch

Traveling through the area and decided to stop in since we'd never been here before. Everything was great! We also got a ceasar salad I really liked. Not sure if you can do this or not, but I would recommend trying to see if you can get the four cheese as your base, and then adding the toppings you want. Also whoever the young girl with dark brown hair and long eyelashes was around 1:30PM 3/18/23 was fantastic. She was super sweet, patient (while we were trying to make decisions), helpful and genuinely seemed happy. Maybe a littleeee pricey, but still glad we stopped!

First time in a MacCheesy but with having been to similar places in the past. You order at a counter, they bring your food to you, it's faster serving than a sit down but not quite fast food. This is a nice, clean smallish restaurant in a small strip mall that was easy to find and easy to get to. I didn't visit the bathrooms so I'm not sure how clean or well-kept they are. A decent amount of parking, I think there is more parking in back but I didn't confirm. My sister and I came here, we ordered a large drink (self serve, fountain beverage machine) and two small skillets - Burnt Ends Mac for her and the Tikka Masala Mac for me. Both leaned towards the expensive side but the portion size was good. The serving temperature was hot but not scalding, which was nice. Burnt Ends Mac - the title says it all but the burnt ends were well cooked, the BBQ was good and not overly sweet, the Mac and cheese was well-cooked and not overdone. My sister's only complaint was not enough BBQ sauce on the dish (I agreed). Tikka Masala Mac - is a newer dish for them and it was good, my sister and I both preferred it over the burnt ends. Everything I liked about her dish, I liked about mine as well as the one small complaint - the chicken tikka masala had a good aroma and a good flavor but there wasn't enough masala sauce in the dish. The chicken was good, cooked well and a good amount just not quite enough seasoning/masala sauce. The staff was friendly and helpful. Just because we asked and you might be curious because we were, the cast iron skillets they serve the dishes in are washed, rinsed, dried like you would expect any dish to be in a restaurant. So in order to preserve the cast iron they oil it and re-season it after the washing process. Overall a positive experience and we will return. I hope they read this review and adjust the amount of sauce/flavorings they add to their dishes.

I know I know Mac N Cheese EVERYTHING! That's what I was thinking and it's so much more. The staff are super friendly and helpful to explain everything on the menu. I mean Mac n cheese... how complicated can it get?!? Well there is fajita mac-n-cheese, BBQ mac-n-cheese, taco mac-n-cheese, burnt ends mac-n-cheese, lobster mac-n-cheese, shrimp Alfredo mac-n-cheese, pizza mac-n-cheese, cheeseburger mac-n-cheese, veggie mac-n-cheese, pesto chicken mac-n-cheese...I can keep going but you just need to try it for yourself. If you are a fan of mac-n-cheese or on the fence about it, do yourself a favor and try out MacCheesy!

They were extremely excited despite their faces lol

The young lady behind the counter was so amazing. This was quite obviously our first time coming. I saw the information on Yelp and as a Mac'n'cheese fanatic knew we had to try it. So glad we did! Now if only we could franchise one in KS.

First time customer. The shakes were great. The Mac and Cheese is good but I wouldn't say great. The regular size is plenty even for a big eater. I was really full after eating a regular size portion with two garlic knots. The consistency of the Mac and cheese was good and the cheese sauce was not grainy like some can be. The top was nicely browned under the grill. Where it fell down for me was it just didn't taste very cheesy and I ordered the Shrimp Mac n Cheese. It was really skimpy on the shrimp. I only saw one whole shrimp and a couple of small pieces in the serving I got. Yeah I eat here again but it isn't a must go back to spot on my list.

We were in the area and needed to try something that isn't in NWA but needs to be... kids and I tried 2 of the gourmet Mac-n-cheese options as well as the garlic knots and a shake! I would return because I have ant to try more and especially the great combo of grilled cheese and tomato soup. The staff was very nice and helpful as we were first timers. The management team should be proud of these young ladies.

Interesting spot. Everything is based on Mac and cheese. The service was awesome, very patient and friendly. The food was great. Good flavors. I only wish there was more meat. We didn't have any shakes but they looked amazing.

Looking for lunch in Joplin on a Sunday on the way home... But wanting to try something different. Usually I eat lower carb but it's time to go somewhere my wife gets her favorites. She was surprised I chose here over her list of places open. Surprising how many places in town were closed. Anyway... It's in half of a little strip building and parking is very limited. Maybe it works mostly but I was glad we were in my compact car. Inside is very plain, like any day food place. They take Mac and cheese and serve it with several options and dress it up. My wife got the skillet with bacon and I got the skillet with burnt ends. They added French fried onions like you get on green bean casserole and bbq sauce. Strange but really satisfying comfort food. This isn't fast food but instead was heated up in the skillet. I also had tomato basil soup which I'd pass on... It's bland for kids and tasted like canned soup. But the Mac and cheese I'd come back for if we were in the area. Two serving sizes so decide how much you want. I'd go for the larger one for sure

We stopped while driving along I-44. We were looking for something kid friendly and you can't go wrong with a place that is all about grilled cheese and mac and cheese. If you thought mac and cheese couldn't get any better, you haven't lived until you've added ranch (and chicken and bacon). The smallest portion size is still pretty heavy, though, so don't be afraid to share. Their website lists this as the only location but mentions franchising. I hope they succeed in that. This could be the next Tom + Chee.

Service was good, with everything made to order. Went on a Sunday and the after church crowd filled the place. Great double burger that was well seasoned. Tots and onion rings were crispy and tasty. Great place to get an old-fashioned burger that makes you feel like it's back in the 50s/60s…read more The staff was super friendly and answered our questions about what items came on the different food items and was helpful on adding some extras like grilled onion on the burger. We ate inside and it was the first time being in. The place you can tell is very old and the building is showing its age for the dining room with a massive amount of wear and tear. For an old-school drive-in, that is not a make or break for me as the building and most items are most likely original and it is what it is. Ordered a side of Suzi-Q's and they were hot and fresh but they just didn't have a lot of flavor. I regretted not getting the tater tots instead and would most likely just get a burger by itself in the future. It would be nice if they had some light seasoning compared to just salt or used seasoned fries as the base. The burger was where the home run was for me. I kept it simple and had pickles, ketchup, and grilled onion with cheese and the only thing I regretted was getting a single and not the double. It was piping hot and had come straight off the flattop. the cheese was melted and gooey. The burger was super juicy and like a classic old-fashioned burger, had some grease soaked into the bun which made the flavor just burst.
