Great mac 'n cheese... Got the medium with 3 garlic knots. Kinda expensive as far as mac 'n cheese goes.

Our first visit was fantastic! There were three of us so we got the Chicken Bacon Ranch, the Burnt End Mac, and Cajun Lobster Mac with some Garlic knots! All of them were delicious! My husband was so adventurous that he tried my Burnt End Mac and my sister's Cajun Lobsta Mac and he's not usually interested in trying anything related to seafood but he kept wanting more! We spent the last two weeks talking about visiting a MacCheesy and it did not disappoint! And then somehow someone ordered a an Orange Creamsicle shake and a skillet cookie. Highly recommend and business picked up fast at lunch time (we arrived shortly after open). We plan to visit many more times to try the rest of the menu. We can't wait! read more

Omg! Talk about heaven in your mouth! This place is legit and nothing like you would think! The pizza mac and taco Mac is awesome! There is everything you can think of done in mac n cheese. You can even Create your own! Prices are great and they even have a check in reward and loyalty card. I had my doubts when my wife mentioned this place to me. First off, I enjoy Mac and Cheese somewhat, but I would never think of going and spending more than $5 for it! Let me tell you that this place has renewed my love for it! They had such a variety that it was impossible for me to pick. I went with the Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese which was amazing, but I was also in Love with my Wife's Chicken Bacon Ranch Mac and Cheese! I immediately wanted to try the rest!! Some of their delicious creations are burnt ends macaroni, pizza macaroni, Buffalo chicken macaroni and even grilled cheese macaroni. It's all made to order and you can even bring home a take and bake. Their garlic knots and tomato soup is a must try! I haven't tried their shakes yet but they look like an entire meal in themselves. She answered all my questions about how I could modify my order and made some excellent recommendations. I ordered the classic grilled cheese with the MacDaddy addition. It was gooey greatness. Fiancé got the chipotle chicken grilled cheese with MacDaddy also. The report was, "Damn. That's delicious. " I also ordered my favorite, the buffalo chicken mac for later this weekend. While I am absolutely recommending the restaurant, I actually want to compliment Kenzie! She was such an absolute delight! Her smile, her humor, and most importantly, her service was impeccable! A great concept; who doesn't like mac and cheese? They serve in 7" cast iron skillets straight out of a broiler so be careful, it's hot. You can create your own or order one that has pre-selected ingredients. My first time there we were on our way to Texas and I had the pesto and sampled my sisters burnt ends. Second visit we were returning from Texas a week later and decided to go again, I had the bacon cheddar and again sampled my sisters shrimp. The best was the pesto and the burnt ends. The space is cramped with no character in a strip mall, get it to go if you can. read more

Our family stopped for dinner at MacCheesy on our way to St. Louis. We got there about 30 minutes before they closed and they already had the chairs leaned up against the tables so we were not sure if they would serve us. When we asked they said yes, but that due to the time, our meals of mac and cheese would not be served in the cast iron skillets. They served them in take-out containers. We ordered Garlic Knots, a Pizza Mac n Cheese, Cheddar Bacon Mac n Cheese, Chicken Ranch Mac n Cheese and a Burnt Ends Mac n Cheese. They were all very good, but would have been better served in the skillets! We also wished the marinara sauce for the garlic knots were served warm instead of refrigerator cold. We also had two shakes and they were works of art! We had a S'mores and a Birthday Cake! The s'mores was definitely the better one! The cost is a little expensive in my opinion for what you get. I was a little frustrated that at about 20 minutes until closing time, they told us we needed to refill all drinks because they were shutting down the drink station. I also did not appreciate them emptying all the trash containers while we were trying to eat. I understand it was close to closing time, but there were customers in the restaurant and they should have waited until we were through eating. read more

4 of us stopped by on Christmas Eve on a trip across I-44. Not far off the interstate, plenty of parking and I was even towing an 18 foot cargo trailer. Small is plenty for a good eater. I had the brisket and side salad and couldn't finish it and I'm a big eater. Our son ate a medium brisket and he's a n over achiever at eating. Snack size was good enough for me and it was about $7. I got 3 snack sizes and 3 small drinks. Total came to about $29. The size was probably about a small TV dinner tray. Anyways, I got the pizza. The other 2 with me had Philly cheesesteak and chicken bacon ranch. We all enjoyed it. The marinara sauce was not too tangy (which I love). The cheese on all 3 were amazing. Would I come back? Yes. I tried some of my friend's Lobster Mac and it was surprisingly good! You wouldn't think you could get decent lobster in the Midwest, but it was pretty good. It tasted like boiled noodles that they had just thrown some cheese on top. Absolutely no flavor. All of the pastas tasted the same. I got the burnt end, chicken bacon ranch and the lobster. It was just so plain which was weird because there was stuff on top? I'm thinking maybe they forgot to add the cheese inside maybe? and just scooped noodles in the dishes and were like I'll just toss a handful on top here, and sent it out?
