We usually get the burgers because they are top notch and can be served"your way". The onion straws and sweet potato fries are excellent! The service is usually good. The ambiance, if you go early is family friendly and becomes more"bar- like" as the evening progresses, and it gets too loud to visit much. Prices are getting high but they are everywhere! read more

I love this place. Normally I get the chicken tenders. They are the best. You can't go wrong with them. However, this time I decided to get a burger. It was really good. Lots of flavor and very juicy. The patty needed a little salt but otherwise it was good. The sweet potato fries stole the prize though. Man are the spectacular. Perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection with just a little salt. The atmosphere is good. Very casual. It's not full service so if you run out of your favorite soft drink, then that's on you! It is free refills. So get up and go get more. I'd definitely recommend this place. I believe the chicken tenders are better than the burger, but the burger isn't anything to sneeze at either. read more

Turn down the bass you have music playing and it is all bass. Ask them if they would turn down just the bass and they said all they can do is turn the volume down. And in just afew minutes later it even louder. I am surprised the neighbors business have not said anything read more

The burgers were very tasty and the sweet potato fries were also very good. We were able to watch our football game on one of the many TVs in the place. read more

Food was great and staff was super friendly! I had a great experience with my friend: we both had burgers.

The food was decent, but a tad overpriced in my opinion. I am a burger fanatic, and these seemed to be going for more gourmet feel and missing the mark due to the beef patties not feeling like they were fresh. I am not sure if they just had the burger sitting too long after cooking or if they were frozen patties. The bun was nice and fluffy and gave the burger a nice bounce with each bite. The cheese curds were decent as they were white cheddar. Food did take a longer period to come out than I would expect for how few people they had in for lunch during a week day. read more

This was a bit hard to find for first timers as there is no large obvious sign out front directing you where to go. Once in, the place is very large but welcoming. Service is quick and friendly. The burgers were fairly basic but well priced and highly customizable, and we both loved the fries. read more

Social BTB - Cheeseburger - New American Near Me - Joplin, Missouri

This is my second review as my last one has disappeared despite it being positive and up for about a year. This is a nice place for a burger bar, its theme is very much disrupted from COVID as the socializing aspects are pretty much gone. Social distancing is enforced and the novelty like the TV room with games is all but locked down and put away. This is basically an upscale burger and bar with nicer decor Than most bars and more focus on the socialization and fun. Much of this is lost during the pandemic. Still they have decent burgers jus not the best in town. I will say their sweet potato fries are among the best in Joplin and I assume the fries are equally as good. We also have liked the onion rings. There are a variety of dipping sauces to choose from too. On our last visit we ordered the spicy corn fritters (I think I called it by the wrong name). They are very spicy, more so than you's expect. They are also sweet but for our group of four adults no one wanted to eat more than a couple and two of the group regretted biting them at all as they were too spicy for them. I think if they offered a non-spicy version it would sell better. The bar looks like it has everything, the soda fountain could use an upgrade. Its an after thought and one of the reasons they didn't get 5 stars from me. When you go to a upscale burger place where a burger and fries are going to cost you about $15 bucks you expect the entire presentation to be of better quality. They have Diet Coke and the typical other Coke products you can get form any cheap burger chain. As an upscale place I would expect more craft brands of soft drinks like Stubborn, Spreckers New York Seltzer, or and other number of craft sodas. The options are limitless yet they only offer the typical Coke drinks and this diminishes the value to me. Last, the burger, its a good burger, I've had three versions off the menu a number of times. I would not say its the best burger in town, in fact I wouldn't put it in the top five. For the price and size of town it should not be too hard to be in the top five. Sadly I would put Five Guys as a better burger at a lower price but I don't want to hang out at Five Guys they way you would at Social BTB (once the pandemic is dialed down). Also noteworthy is their chicken fingers and chicken sandwich made with the same chicken fingers. They are the best in town, generous and fresh, and nothing like cheap remade fast food chicken fingers. Service is great and they come around to the table just the right amount to check on you. There is also a button on each table to call for bar service which is a nice step up from your typical bar. read more

I love their chicken and fries. Great place to have lunch or dinner. They have a nice outside seating area as well.

Wanted to try this place for so long, finally got here. Worth the wait. Staff is great. We had read the menu on here (yelp) before going in so we already knew what we were going to have. The burger was really good, it was my husband's but I tried it. I told him that it was probably the best I've had in Joplin. If I could change anything it would probably be to go with a thicker burger instead of 2 thin ones but that just a personal preference. I had the chicken tenders and they were great. Cooked perfectly. Not everybody can do it but this place nails it. I loved the spicy ranch dip also very much enjoyed the garlic parmesan. The frys rock but I was so full I didn't get to eat many and I can not wait to go back and try the onion strings. I recommend this place, go by if get a chance. They are worth a stop read more

Our fam of six stopped here on our mini-vacay. We really just wanted a good burger and chicken for the kids, but we also got a great place to hang to watch our home football team finally win a game! The food was delicious, and the staff was very accommodating. We'd definitely be regulars if we lived closer. read more

Fair service. Kind of mediocre food for the money. It's a decent place but definitely not a "go to" for Joplin.

This was our first time eating at Social BTB. We enjoyed our burgers. The wide variety of toppings made it easy to customize the burger and make it just what you want. The space is set up so you can play games or sit comfortably and watch sports. The service was good and we received our food quickly. I would recommend this restaurant. read more

Maggie from Home2 Suites recommended this place and we are super glad we took her advice. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the food was amazing. Their chicken tenders were so juicy and tasty, we were so glad we got them. The Greek salad was huge, fresh and very tasty. If we are ever back in town, we know where we are going. read more

Fries, pickle chips and the chicken strips are good but I would stay away from their burgers it had no flavor like it wasn't seasoned at all and the beef was super dried out. The choice of "free" toppings pickle, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, ketchup, and mustard are a joke because they are so stingy with it. For the price I wouldn't recommend. read more

In about the 5th or so reincarnation in this location, I truly hope Social BTB can make it last. Location-wise, it's a nice building, historical, cool atmosphere and whatnot, but the exposure isn't that great. However, the food is pretty dang good (if you like burgers and chicken tenders that is) and I'd really like to see this place hang around. I had a cheeseburger, which consisted of two thin patties and a burger with a logo branded right on the bun. Neat touch! Got some salt 'n vinegar fries, which was loaded with seasoning - maybe a touch too much, although I love salt 'n vinegar so it didn't really bother me. Our server did ask us how the seasoning was and we were honest, so maybe it's something they've been struggling with - finding the perfect ratio. Chicken tenders are hand breaded and tasted deliciously homemade. Also had sweet potato fries, which were good. Website mentioned they had an "additive seasoning" on them, but ours just had salt. Unless that's what they mean, as salt is pretty good stuff! Lots of dipping sauces available. There is also a buzzer at the table if you want the bar to come over and take a drink order. Another neat touch! Definitely a great place for lunch! We will be back. read more

This place is loud and WAY overpriced with tiny portions and not great food. When I went, the staff was almost entirely teenagers who were friends with the owner's kid. Not very well trained and clearly cared way more about talking to each other than working. read more

TL;DR: Woo! Great food. Nice walk-up ordering system. The food that you get here is generally on the pretty darn good side. I've enjoyed everything I've gotten the few times I have been. Would recommend on the food alone. Additionally, they have a nice and quick walk-up and order from the menu on the wall system. This makes it easy and quick to order and then find a seat. After the order is done, the food is brought out to the tables and you can dig in! Will hopefully be able to make my way back to this place in the future! read more

Solid place for some late night takeout. Our orders were perfect minus the cold fries.

You must try the salt and vinegar fries. The chicken portions are good and not too terribly salty.

I ordered the veggie burger togo and it was not good at all. I eat it right when I got home but it was so soggy and just sloppy. I also got onion shoe fries on the side but they were so oily, it made me feel gross after eating some. read more

Love the retro locale. The food was good.... expect to spend over $12 a person. Their burgers aren't served with a side. I had their burger with bbq and grilled onions, they are all double patties. Wow. Just wow. The burgers are fantastic. We asked and they told us they have them formed in Springfield from 4 types of beef. They are crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle. The bun is perfectly toasted and slightly chewy (which I love). The onion strings are the best side in my opinion. My husband likes the salt and vinegar fries but the onion strings are his favorite as well. I like that they have a drink machine for us to use instead of having to wait on a waiter/waitress. The people who work here are also very friendly - thumbs up to this business! Coming back! read more

Friendly staff and nice relaxed environment! Great chicken tenders and fries with lots of awesome dipping sauce options!

Amazing atmosphere and such great food. This place also has a nice var with great staff and drink specials. Will definitely be going back

You can tell a lot about a restaurant when nothing is going right. We stopped here to watch a Nebraska football game ( not one of their normal games they carry). They had space on their tv's so they went out of their way to find it. Then, 5 minutes in, they and 8400 other customers lost power. They handled it brilliantly. We all got bought a round, they called around to find out if anyone else has power to go listen to the game. They found some lights so we could sit and listen to the game a la cell phone streaming. Then the lights came on and we got to eat. First, their tea is good. Always a good sign. They have a short menu but what they have they are very good at. They have burgers and chicken fingers. Both are excellent. Think chik fil a good. 10 kinds of sauce--I highly recommend the the boom boom. But they have some good non spicy and some uber hot sauce as well. Then came the fries. They are batter dipped and very good. Both the standard and the sweet potato. They also have onion straws and salt and vinegar. (Untried). All in all this place is good. You should check it out. The people here are great. They are nice, attentive, and will go out of their way to make your experience great. 5 stars. Then their f read more

Excellent burgers, juicy tenders and my kids LOVE the sweet potato fries! They have really cool buttons at each table that buzzed the bartender. Let's not forget over 10 TVs to watch your favorite game, and games in the table to play with your friends. (Connect 4, tic-tac-toe, tricky triangle). We enjoying coming here to relax and have a bite to eat. read more

the cashier was very friendly and sweet. the food was decent and had good flavor. we sat at the bar and that was a mistake. the bar tender didn't have a smile or anything resembling to one the entire time. when I first sat down I asked her what was in the Irish margarita and she was very monotone and replied in literally two words. I asked if she knew how to make an upside down pineapple cake martini and before I could finish asking she said yes and walked away. turned out, she didn't. it was basically pure alcohol and grenadine. my fiancé ordered the whipped paradise and it tasted the exact same as my martini. we then were ignored throughout our entire meal and she disappeared twice for idk how long. I ordered a Long Island since I couldnt drink the other and it tasted ok. then she disappeared again and we waited quite a while to get our check for the drinks. the bartender made our experience one to encourage us not to come back. read more

Food was pretty good I wasn't a fan of how crunchy the jalapeños where but other than that no major complaints. Chill place

Had to give the newest burger joint in town a try. As far as burgers go they did not disappoint. The setup is like some other burger joints, you go to the counter order a burger and tell them the toppings. You get two fresh patties that combined make a decent burger. Not to thick not to thin. I got mine with ketchup, mustard, grilled onion, grilled mushroom and fresh jalepenos. The jalapeno were nice and spicey! Everything is in between two slightly toasted buns, then for kicks they brand the top bun with their logo! The fries were nice and thick like I enjoy but they were extra salty (i couldnt finish the fries bc of the saltiness) The wife and son got bacon on their burgers and sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were nice and crispy and had good flavoring. The atmosphere is nice and lively with tv's all around the place. Each booth has a bar button so you can order drinks from the bar right at your table. Outside there is an area with bean bag toss, ping pong table and giant jinga. Staff was friendly and helpful and was explaing how things work to anyone and everyone that came in the doors. Overall we enjoyed the experience and will be back. Next time i will probably try the onion strings instead of the fries. read more
